How to create a condition inside a flow to execute or not a mapping

Hi everybody, I'm quite new on OWB and I don't know how to build a flow to do the following things:
Scenario
1. the flow (three mappings in series) has to run every day, but ONLY the first two has to run every day, while the third (used for the fact partitioning) has to run ONLY on the last day of the month (practically 12 times a year), to capture the last fact's image and put all the data inside a backup table.
So, only when the flow runs on the last day of each month, the third mapping is executed. If we are not at the end of the month, the third mapping has to be bypassed and the flow has to stop.
To do this, I need a condition that compares two values
a) select RUN_DATE
from DW_CONTROL_TABLE
where PROCEDURE_NAME = 'OTE_DW_LAST_RUN' --> that retrieve the date when the flow runs (every day I have the current sysdate)
b) select TRUNC(LAST_DAY(sysdate)) from dual --> that retrieve the last day of each month
ONLY when these two dates are the same, the third mapping has to run
I tried to use the WHILE_LOOP activity, combined with the ASSIGN but It doesn't work properly......
How can I achieve this result ?? Which activities I need to create this flow ?
I repeat..I'm a very beginner, so if somebody can give some hint or example, I'll appreciate it very much.

although you did not say if these mappings are to run in parallel or not try something like this:
-- create procedure that determines whether or not to the mapping should run.
-- bind output of procedure to variable run_map
-- use fork operator and an OR operator and put in connection directly to OR operator and one to mapping and then to OR operator.
-- use conditional access test in the two connections from fork
-- one that says run_map = 'Y' and connects to mapping, mapping connects to OR operator
-- leave the other condition open, meaning all other conditions will pass tru this one and connect to OR operator directly
this should work

    There is no condition available that you are looking for. Why do you not work with
    public interface Condition
    Represents a condition for a query. This can either be a single condition, as FIELD = VALUE and / or a composite condition, as ( ( FIELD1 = VALUE1 OR FIELD2 = VALUE2 ) AND FIELDE 3 <> VALUE3 ).

    You can also check the field RefConType for the discount condition type in SPRO -> Sales and distribution -> Basic functions ->Pricing -> Pricing control ->Define condition type.

    A solution could be to generate 'MultiTaskFlow' for indeterminate number of regions or multiple regions on the same page.
    It would be necessary to create a single file to define all participating 'TaskFlows' on page:
    1. Select 'new -> ADF Task Flow (JSF/Facelets)'
    2. May include all 'jsff' files as:

        <default-activity>case1</default-activity>
        <view id="case1">

    I have a Discoverer report that shows revenue by city and sub-totals revenue by state.
    I need to modify this report so that only cities in states with revenue (sub-total) more than one million are pulled.
    Example:
    Pittsburgh - 100,000
    Harrisburg - 200,000
    Erie - 300,000
    ------State:PA 600,000
    Los Angeles 500,000
    San Fransisco 600,000
    Oakland 200,000
    -----State:CA 1,300,000
    In this example, the report should show only the cities in California, as the revenue sum is over 1 million:
    Los Angeles 500,000
    San Fransisco 600,000
    Oakland 200,000
    ---State:CA 1,300,000
    Is this possible?
    I'm using Discoverer version 10.1.2.2.

    Hello
    You need to do two things to solve this problem.
    1. You need to create an analytic calculation that returns 1 when the sum of the revenue in all of the cities in a state is one million or more
    2. You need to create a condition such that you only include states when the above is 1
    Let's call the calculation, OneMillionStates and I will assume your fields are called State, City and Revenue
    Here's the formula:
    CASE WHEN SUM(REVENUE) OVER(PARTITION BY STATE) > 1000000 THEN 1 ELSE 0 END
    Now your condition shoudl be: ONEMILLIONSTATE = 1
    You don't even need to display the calculation on screen and notice how the city does not even come into the calculation.

    Hi all, I need to create a condition based on a select that retrieve dynamically a LOV.
    So, the condition have to be:
    inventory_item_id NOT IN (SELECT inventory_item_id FROM apps.mtl_system_items_kfv WHERE concatenated_segments = 'GENERAL_FAULTS_IPTV')
    I need to create a LOV based on this select without making any join with the folder which contains the field inventory_item_id, because otherwise I have the contradiction:
    and o124757.INVENTORY_ITEM_ID = o118741.INVENTORY_ITEM_ID -- join between the main custom folder (o118741) and the LOV custom folder (o124757)
    and o118741.INVENTORY_ITEM_ID NOT IN (o124757.INVENTORY_ITEM_ID) -- condition
    These two condition together don't show any data, obviously....This means also, that I can't use a calculated field, because if I want to see this field, I have to create a join, another time, with the main custom folder.
    I tried to create a LOV on the Administrator, but when I create the condition I have to check manually the values....and if in the future this LOV will increase I need every time to re-check all the values.....instead I need that the inventory_item_id have to be NOT IN dinamically in the list of values retrieved by the select.
    Anybody has inplemented something similar ??

    You want to add this condition to the first query it holds good for this scenerio.All the items which are NOT IN will be retrieved.Here you are selecting other than "General_faults_iptv"
    But again your trying to select in the second query where you want "General_faults_iptv"

    FROM apps.mtl_system_items_kfv
    WHERE concatenated_segments = 'GENERAL_FAULTS_IPTV'
    If you carefully go through what your doing,you will understand.In the above explantion ,there will be no records generated.First query your saying NOT IN and again your saying for the same IN,how will records retrieve its meaningless.
    I dont know what you want to get from second query.I would suggest you to do is dont use the second query and just use the first query and you will get.Here is the query and this will give you result.

    U cannot create a table inside another table.
    The data storage is not supported in that manner.
    If you need multiple fileds based on a single line entry then , first figure out the relationships between these tables.
    Then create a second table with a part of the primary key as the first and a unquie primary key to be defined for adding all the rest of the entries in the second table.
    Also maintain the foreign key relationships between these tables.
    This is the way to have multiple entries for a single line of a table entry.

    I have a table which has columns and data as follows
    Year               Description          Trans.Amount                Trans.Count
    2009               ATM                     1000                               50
    2010               ATM                     5000                               200
    2010               POS                     1500                               100
    If I build a report and fetch the data for year 2010, report will display ATM and POS transaction amount and count.
    Whereas, for 2009 there are no POS transaction, report will display only ATM transactions.  But user needs the POS also to be displayed in the report with 0's for trans.amount and Trans.count.
    Could you please guide me how to achieve this, if it is possible

  • How to create new users inside of a zone...?

    So I've set up my first zone, got it up and running and logged into the console as root. It responds to remote connect protocols (ssh, telnet, etc) however since logging in as root is generally frowned upon I was going to create myself as a standard user within the zone but can't. The useradd command fails because there is no local home directory for that user and whenever I try to create one the command fails with the error "operation not permitted" or something like that. What am I doing wrong? Yes this is a sparse zone so most everything is inherited but that's about where I lose what's happening.
    Any help on this would be great as I have lost too much sleep over it already.

    The issue may not be zone related. You are probably trying to create home directories under /home which is normally automounted.
    Try putting the home dir somewhere else or taking /home out of /etc/auto_master and rerunning automount

    This is a simple AND criteria with two componets. one looking for a Review Activity (TypeConstraint='CoreActivity!System.WorkItem.Activity.ReviewActivity') which is related to the targetting CR by Contains Activity ($Context/Path[Relationship='CoreActivity!System.WorkItemContainsActivity';
    Context in this... context means the CR targeted by the view) where it's status (/Property[Type='CoreActivity!System.WorkItem.Activity']/Status$) is In Progress ($MPElement[Name="CoreActivity!ActivityStatusEnum.Active"]$). The other is filtering
    for the target change request's status ( $Context/Property[Type='CoreChange!System.WorkItem.ChangeRequest']/Status$) is In Progress ($MPElement[Name="CoreChange!ChangeStatusEnum.InProgress"]$). 
    You could convert the second criteria to point to SRs and SR status values, and then use the similar text for the first criteria. i'd recommend
    Anton's Advanced View Editor (or
    the free version) to do the criteria adjustment.
