How to create an Array which holds numbers ?!?!

I must be going mad...
I just write:
var directio:Number=1 //or any other number
var someArray:Array=new Array( 1, 0, -1, 0);
var deltaX:Number = anyNumber*someArray[directio];
trace (deltaX);
and this returns NaN !!
I tried even creating a numeric variables and then put them
in the array: the same result
What am I doing wrong?

Never mind. It turned out to be a typing mistake

e.g. create html region, just say you give the region static id: floating-region, make it hidden by adding attributes: style="display: none;"then do like: $('#floating-region).dialog();

To create a single object is simple:Object o;
o = Class.forName("TestClass").newInstance();But how do I create an array of objects, when the class of objects is known only by name? (Can't use Object[] because even though an Object[] array can be filled with "TestClass" elements only, it Cannot be casted to a TestClass[] array)

Yes, you need to create a new instace for each slot.
LinkedList[] ht = new LinkedList[size];
for(int x = 0; x < size; x++)

For this my plan would be,
-create an array variable , load all the values(from DB) into the array
-pass the array to each branch in flowN activity based on the index

I created my string array like

I am able to add values to my array variable named as "arr"
When I use the following code snippet, it gives my the value of the entire list.
<%ora:getNodeValue(bpws:getVariableData('arr'))%>
But when I try retireve values one by one like <%ora:getElement('arr','/client:string_array/client:input',[0])%>, its giving me error.
Guide to get throu' this.

I have a certain iView, let's call it "myiView" which sits inside a certain Role, let's call it "myRole".
At the Homepage of the users I have KM navigation iView which shows a certain folder. I would like to create inside this folder a link to "myiView", this way when users will click on this link at the Homepage they will be redirected automaticly to "myiView". I remember reading once something regarding internal links perhaps this is solution but I'm not sure. Can anyone please show me how to create such link which redirects to another iView at the portal.

       I am designing a solution for a problem and have a unique requirement. I need to create a structure which can hold a field where dynamic table data can be stored. Let me illustrate with an example :
My structure ( say Z_output_struc ) will have the fields
Table_name Table_Data
My function module will have a table type of the above structure, so in effect ,my output can have multiple table names and related to each of them, there will be table data of that table name. The issue is how do I configure this in DDIC ?
I tried creating table_data as "Type ref to Data" but was stuck inside the func module when I tried to transfer data to this.
Any pointers as to how to think about this differently ?

Hi Girish,
you start directly from the ref to data. You assign it to a field symbol and cast this to the type of the destination of your select. So you can directly add the reference to the cache:

i wrote my native method like this:

the result is that i got a array which has ten elements and all the elements are 0.
it seems the value of the array never be chenged.
how can i do? where is the mistake? how can i get the correct result?

Not quite clear what you are trying to do.
o You create a java in array, which will be initialized to zeroes.
o You then asked to access that array (as p), but you didn't pass a pointer to a boolean so it can tell you whether p points into the java array, or is a separate memory area.
o You assigned a bunch of int values to p - not p[0], p [1], ....?
o You returned to java the original array.
Here's some (untested) code that will likely work:
jBoolean isCopy;
jintarray array=env->Newintarray(10);
jint* p=env->GetIntArrayElements(array,&isCopy);
for(int i=0;i<10;i++){
p=i;
if (isCopy == JNI_TRUE)

How to create an array in if/else or case structure without 0's ?

Hello,
I've been trying to do this for a while now.
I only managed to think of this in three ways:
1. (What I'm doing right now Create the array by going through a for loop, which populates the array by auto indexing. It populates with correct number if true and with a '0' if false. The idea was to delete the 0's later on in the code. This however seems highly ineffective.
2. Make use of a shift register, which automatically adds the correct number to an array. The problem is that the array will keep growing and growing and at the very least would tremendously slow down my program. At worst, it would crash.
So, my question is: How do I create an array that if a comparison is true, it puts the element in and if not it does nothing ?
I've attached a PNG snippet of my code.

Can I create an array of vectors in Java ? For instance I want to have an array of days in a year, an on each day there are several things to do, and I don't know this up front, so I want it to be a Vector holding the things_to_do object, some days might have nothing to do, so there should be null or an empty vector for that day. So I came up with something like the following :
Vector<Things>[] Days_Array=new Vector<Things>[365];
But Java doesn't allow this ?

Opps , I forgot to ask, although it compiled successfully, but it gave me a warning : [unchecked] unchecked conversion
I wonder if there is a way to fix it without turning the warning off, what I meant is : Am I missing something that caused the warning that I should add to the code, I don't want to turn off the warning. For instance how can I make the "conversion" checked ?
