How to create an InDesign Grep Expression to specific words

I have a long list of congratulations wishes all following a certain pattern. How can I create a grep style with the following sequence:
Congratulations to [name] upon.....
The first two words of the paragraph are always: Congratulations to
Followed by: name
Followed by: upon.... (then continues with the rest of info)
There's a general paragraph style to the paragraph, let's call that "body". A character style, let's call "bold", should be applied to the first word, then skip the word "to", apply the "bold" character style again to the name (however long that may be), and stop at the word "upon". Keep in mind that the word "to" is mentioned again later on, so I wouldn't want to use an expression with all words "to", unless can be specified only the first instance.
I'm new to GREP, but have figured out so far that the following will give me the applied character style to the first word: ^Congratulations

Similar as before, but now I need both names [after the word "to" and after the words "son of"] to have the style applied, in addition to the word "Congratulations".

Try with function module SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1. using this you can send express message to sap office.

From what I have seen Excel can not handle 999 999 999.00. You can use 999999999.00 and then format it as you want in the xls bt you can not have values like 999 999 999.00 coming from publisher output and have functions on the values in Excel

OK, just go to the Hyper editor, go hyper/create hyper set.
It'll probable create a volume CC7 hyper set, select the hyper set you've just created by clicking on the name in the hyper editor, a set of parameters will appear to the left, then just change the number to 11 as in this pic:

I hope you meant it when you said any and all suggestions would be appreciated. This is kind of for listed bullets, but you seemm well versed that you could play with this to make it work.
First, you want to set your text and apply some general bullets. You can make a new paragraph style if you’d like to set your indents for personal preference. Off to the side, place your graphic you want to use for the bullet.
Next, select your bullet text and convert the bullets to text. Now it gets bouncy, but follow slowly and it may work for you.
Copy one of the general Bullets to the pasteboard. Then, Find/Change, pasting the bullet text character in the Find what. Go back to your document and copy the logo or graphic to your clipboard. Make sure it is formatted to your bullet size and colors, etc...
Go back to your open Find/Change dialog and select the Change to (special characters for replace) to clipboard contents, formatted. From there, you can select and tweak things such as text wrap.
Just one FYI - When you try to select all in your text box, the graphics used for the bullets will NOT be selected in the links pallette.

Hi,
If the requirement is on a small scale and u have only a few no of users (To Restrict) and only a few forms, what i did was
1.Get the curently logged in user.
2.Check if he is a restricted user.
3.Check if the form opened is a restricted form for the user.
4.Then on the form load or on the ITEM (UID 1) make bubble event to FALSE and show msg that the user is not supposed to make the changes.
This is what i did as mine was limited to only some forms...:)

I have a simple Runbook with the following details:
Initialize Data: (First Name, Last Name, Login Name, Deparment Name) --> Create User: Name:(Domain), Common Name, Display Name, First, Last Name, SAM Account Name (From Initialize Data) --> Enable
User: Distinguished Name --> Add User to Group: Group Distinguished Name, User Distinguished Name
Active Directory Management Pack in place and the Prerequisites Configurations are added Too (Configuration User Name, Configuration Password, Configuration DC, Configuration Default OU.
The Runbook is Synched with Service Manager, Request Offering/Service Offering and published to the portal.
When I filled the 4 required values (First Name, Last Name, Login Name, Deparment Name), the Runbook will kick off and the user is created in Active Directory.
The user is placed in the Default OU which is predefined in AD Prerequisites Configurations in Orchestrator.
I need to add another Required Value to my Request Offering (SR) called User Level Enum List (Low, Medium, High).
I need to place the user in a Specific OU based on the Level entered from SSPortal, If the user is Low, then Create the user in this OU, if the user is Medium then create it in this OU, etc...
How can I do this in Orchestrator? What I want to modify in my runbook to accomplish this task?

HOW TO CREATE an excel column or chart on word office 2011*

I can't create the right format on Excel Word 2011. on the X axis i want to put years (1970-2050 but in 20 {1970; 1990; 2010}). Under the years, i want to put "census from 1970 until 2010. on the Y axis i want to put 10, 30, 50, upto 105). I have tried over and over, i can't do it. I need someone to teach me. I have looked on youtube, and the intruvtion it says, i do, but my excel sheet continues to do it wrong. I typed all the X axis on the left and the Y axis on the right, then i reversed it (x axis on the right, y axis on the left) both my colums ended up the same.

The problem is that I do not know how to assign it to the text in Smart Form because the Editor is MS Word and not the normal Editor.

I have created a smartstyle and also a characterformat for the barcode. This is not the problem.
I call the layout via HRFORMS. The Form Builder for Smart Forms is called and the Editor for the text nodes is preset and is the MS Word editor. This cannot be changed. I tried different things also in the settings. The normal text editor cannot be called.
I choose and enter the field that I want to convert into the barcode &wa_barcode&. I do not work with standard texts (SO10). The text field is a normal text node in Smart Forms. The character format that applies converts the number in the variable field into the barcode.
In the MS word editor I have only formats that are in the office environment (arial, ...) I do not see the formats that I created in smartstyle also when I assign it in the output options of the text node.
So maybe I have to work like this for now. Swich between HRFORMS and SMARTFORMS when working with barcodes. In the Smart Forms transaction it is the normal editor where I can see the paragraph/ character formats from smartstyle.

How to create PDF from text file with specific layout?

I wanted to create the pdf from text file in specific layout - Landscape orientation and JIS B3 Page size while at Adobe Acrobat Pro.
In past, I could do a right click on a text file (desktop area) and select print to print out the document into .pdf BUT only if I set the Adobe PDF to Landscape and JIS B3 Page size BEFORE. And I could only do 15 text documents at once.
I wanted to see if I could do the create the pdf from text file with specific layout in Adobe Acrobat without having to go to Control Panel to preset the Adobe PDF to specific layout at every time. I would have to set Adobe PDF back to normal layout after I'm done with these pdf print outs. I do lots of pdfs in normal layout. Sometimes I would forget to do that.
So, How do I do that?

No such luck. It would output the contents in letter size even in JIS B3 Page layout at MS word.
Is there a script or action where I could set the orientation and page size before creating PDF on these text files?

Hi everybody, I am trying to implement a custom image gallery. It has a very distinct design though, It supports drag and drop reordering. Each item has a button on the left and a thumbnail. The drag and drop should happen only when we drag the thumbnail
and drop on the + buttons. I tried a lot of ways but none of them seem to work properly. The design of the list view is as the image below.
the first item in the list view looks like this. a button and a thumbnail and the last item looks the same but instead of a thumbnail it has an icon. When the add button is clicked a open file dialog appears and we can insert a thumbnail when the add button
which is on the left and right of the thumbnail is clicked. When the add button at the end is clicked it adds a thumbnail at the end. How do i implement something like this ? Any help is much appreciated.

And also could you describe in which part you have problem?
If you don't know how to add a image to your listviewitem, please try check VisualTreeHelper Class, use it to the specific element you need and then add the element, like a image to it.

Hi Barry, Sorry that was a typo. What i meant to say was we can insert a new thumbnail when the + button which are on either side of the thumbnail is clicked.
There are two problems that i am facing.
How do i do drag and drop by dropping on to the + buttons? Drag and drop should not work when one thumbnail is dropped on to the other. Multiple thumbnails can be selected and dragged and dropped to reorder. The + buttons should not be dragged nor
selected.
Dragging the last "add thumbnail" should not be possible. It has to be there always at the end. And user should not be able to select, reorder or delete it.
I have a class which holds the thumbnail and i am setting the observable collection as the item source of the list view. i do not have any problem in showing the thumbnails.

How to create a form by using an existing Word document.

Just installed Adobe XI Pro. Now trying to create a form from an existing word file. After choosing my file I cannot click on the button (Current document). Error message appears: An unexpected error occurred. PDFMaker was unable to produce the Adobe PDF.

Try starting with the file opened in Word and creating the PDF from there. You can either use PDF Maker (Acrobat toolbar in Word) or print to the PDF printer. If that works, you can open the PDF in Acrobat and ruun the form wizard to automatically add the fields, or add them manually.

Grep expression for specific search within Brackets

I did a search and found many topics for searching within brackets, but wasn't able to find anything to search for specific characters/quotation within brackets.

For the Brackets and words within, i use:     (\[).+?(\])
and have it them to a different font.
For my project i need the quotations to be a different color and nothing else.
These are the ones i'm trying to add to an expression:      '|"|;|,
Any help is very much appreciated. I've been trying many arrangements with no luck. Thanks!

It's not possible to search for your punctuation inside parentheses only. (FYI, that needs a positive lookbehind of variable length, and that's not possible.)
But the hint to get it done is right there:
function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}
For the Brackets and words within, i use:     (\[).+?(\])
and have it them to a different font.
Simply search for your set
only in that particular font.
