How to create dropwdown list box values and checkbox in screen painter.
Hi Experts,
I need to know the creation of dropdown list box values and the checkbox to use in screen painter.
I have 3 values to insert as:-
INR,USD,EUR
if user selects INR/USD/EUR, then it will store into the table field.
And also want to know the checkbox functioning in screen painter, i.e. what should we write in PBO/PAI.
I have found some sites to get knowledge, but didnot found anything that relates to my questions.
So please help me!
Thanks,
Deepanshu
Hi,
For dropdown list box in Screen create a input field and choose Drop down by index.
To populate the values write the logic in PBO as follows
TYPE-POOLS : VRM
DATA : field_id TYPE VRM_ID ,
values TYPE VRM_VALUES,
value LIKE LINE OF values.
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT
MODULE list_fill_100
MODULE list_fill_100 OUTPUT
SELECT f1 f2 f3 FROM tab WHERE condition.
value-KEY = f1.
value-TEXT = f2
APPEND value TO VALUES
CALL FUNCTION 'VRM_SET_VALUES'
EXPORTING
id = 'i/o screen field'
values = values.
ENDMODULE.

hi everyone i would like to ask a suggestion about Frank's example on How-to create dependent list boxes in a table -Frank Sample ...
i want to extend this example for 3 dependent lists... including locations, departaments and employes....
this the ListboxBean java that Frank is using in his example.... and this is only for locations and departaments tables and it works ok... i want to add the third list for employers wich is dependent only from departaments list.... as i am not good in java i would like to ask u a suggestion on how to develop the third list in this java class ...

Thanks in advance :0Hi,
I think that all you need to do is to look at how I implemented the dependent detail for querying the Employees select items
Then you make sure the DepartmentsVO and the EmployeesVO have bind variable to query them according to the pre-selected value in their respective master list

How to create a list of value using date?
We need to create a list on a report. The list consists of date. I have tried several times, but no luck.
Hi Charles,
I guess you have a user-parameter in your report and you need to define the LoV for the user parameter, so that the user can select from the LoV. In such a case you get REP-0782 if the datatype of column does not match the LoV of the parameter. Eg, if you have a query like
select * from employees where hire_date < :p_hire_date
And you want to build an LoV for hire_date, do the following:
1. Go to your user parameter > Property Inspector > Datatype > select "Date". If you select Character or Number, you will get REP-0782.
2. Now double click List of Values, choose "Select Statement" and type something like
select distinct hire_date from employees order by hire_date asc
If you don't want to use a Select Statement to build the LoV, you can write a static list of values, and even in this case Step 2 above should avoid the error REP-0782.

OCS2007R2 - how to create a list of users and meeting policies assigned to them?
Hi all
is it possible to create a list of users and policy assigned?
For example
UserA Default
UserB High
UserC High
UserD Medium
and so on?
Thanks in advance! You can try to use the Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Resource Kit Script LCSEnableConfigureUsers
The LCSEnableConfigureUsers.wsf script automates enabling and configuring users belonging to the local Active Directory Domain Services domain.

How can I get a list of values (one or more) used in the WHERE filter of stored procedures and functions in SQL Server?
How can get a list of values as shown (highlighted) in the sample stored procedure below?

LenfinkelHi LenFinkel,
May I know what is purpose of this requirement, as olaf said, you may parse the T-SQL code (or the execution plan), which is not that easy.
I have noticed that the condition values in your Stored Procedure(SP) are hard coded and among them there is a date values, I believe some day you may have to alter the SP when the date expires. So why not declare 3 parameters of the SP instead hard coding?
For multiple values paramter you can use a
table-valued parameter. Then there's no problem getting the values.
If you could elaborate your purpose, we may help to find better workaround.

How to Create a DropDown Box in a Selection Screen.
Hi,
I have a question. i.e, How to create a dropdown box in a Selection Screen. Could you please assist me.
Thanks & Regards
Sathish Kumarhi satish,
The following can assist u to create a drop down ....
Drop down list box can be created in a dialog screen(SE51) as well as selection screen.
The sap list box allows to select a value from the list but we cannot enter our own value in the list box .The value list that will be displayed consists of two
fields TEXT field of TYPE 80(C) and internal KEY field of TYPE 40(C).
In screen painter to create a input/output field into list box we use
'L" as a value for dropdown attribute for the i/o field.
In screen painter to determine the type of method that will be used to fill the value
list we use the attribute value list.
If it is blank the value list will be filled by the first column of the input help assigned to the screen field. This input help can be defined in the ABAP Dictionary, on screen using SELECT,VALUES screen statements or in event POV (PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST ) and the input help that will be passed to the field should consists of 2 columns ,the key column is filled automatically by the system.SAP recommends value list field should be blank.
or
The value can be 'A' meaning that the value list will be filled in the event PBO(PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT) or before the screen is displayed. In this method we use function module VRM_SET_VALUES to fill the values and pass it to the i/o field.
If a function code is attached to the list box the selection of a value triggers a PAI
otherwise PAI will not trigger.
Example
Dropdown list boxes

Wondering how to create a text box with variables...
Hi everyone,
I was wondering how to create a text box, that at the beginning of the presentation, the audience fills in regarding what they think constitutes the role they have been chosen for.
I would like that same box to then appear at the end of the presentation, with the text they typed in at the beginning, so they can reflect on what they think now, and what they thought then. I understand this is done using variables, but i'm not 100% sure.
I hope I've worded this okay! This screenshot shows the properties panel, Style tab for the TEB. I relabeled it to My_TEB, used the X button to create a user variable v_choice that will replace the generic Text_Entry_Box_1/
This is the properties panel of a Shape, I went in Edit mode (double clicking)to make the Character section appear, where you find the X button. It opens the dialog box 'Insert Variable' and you can choose the var associated with the TEB. The Maximum Length will define how many characters will be displayed, the value of a variable has maximum 256 characters. -

My spreadsheet data is as follow

Singapore 680123
Singapore 680124
Singapore 680125
Indonesia 155123
Indonesia 155124
Indonesia 155125
Indonesia 155126
Thailand 333123
Many Thanks,
HariantoHi,
I am detailing the complete steps below:
In the combobox select the entire range of Country while seeing the records from the Combobox, Xcelsius will automatically show the unique values in the selection.
After that in the "Data Insertion" section for Combobox select the "Insertion Type" as "Filtered Rows" (please click on the question mark beside this option and it will show how the selection works).
In the source select the postal code, in the destination select the range which will be used as a data source for the list box.
This will resolve the concern. Please remember to select the question mark beside the "Insertion Type" option, it explains the working in specific details.
Best of luck.

How to use dynamic list box in survey builder?
Hello,
Could someone give me a little bit of thread? How to use dynamic list box in survey builder?Hi Liu,
Dynamic combo boxes::A combo box is dynamic if it references a document property for which a value set is defined in the configuration (System Administration ® System Configuration ® Content Management ® Global Services ® Property Metadata ® Properties ® Parameter Allowed Values).
At runtime (when you open the creation form) the system reads these values from the configuration and displays them in the dropdown list.
If you link a combo box for which list entries already exist to a document property with a value set, the system asks whether you want to delete the list entries. it is recommend that you accept this suggestion and delete the list entries from the XML Forms Builder. Otherwise inconsistencies could arise between the entries in the XML Forms Builder and the value set in the configuration. This can cause errors when saving.
