How to create reports online on the fly using meta-data.

We have dataset and blank report. How can I create report design on the fly ? so that it will able to display report dataset.
Can someone tell me it is possible or not ? or some reference links....

How to create reports servers with the same name in two nodes in Reports

Greetings
We are migrating Oracle Application Server 10g (9.0.4) to a better hardware infrastructure with high availability. We want to provide 2 new Oracle Application Server 10g (9.0.4) in High availability and we want to avoid modify the existing forms and reports code, but the code is looking for a specific reports server name when calling reports, but I couldn't create the same reports server name in the both oas machines, I could create the reports server in only one node. I want to create a reports server with the same name in both nodes but it is not possible. I know that there is a procedure to do that in 10.1,2 (Note 437228.1, How to Create Two Reports Servers With the Same Name in the Same Subnet) but I couldn't find the equivalent procedure in 9.0.4.
Anybody kwows how to create a reports server with the same name in two nodes using 10g (9.0.4)

I applied the patch 4092150 on my oas 9.0.4.2 and I modified my rwnetwork.conf file changing the port to 14022 by following the note "How to Create Two Reports Servers With the Same Name in the Same Subnet? [ID 437228.1]" but I am facing the same error rep-56040 "server already exists in the network".
When I run osfind command I get the following information (My reports server is senarep and I want to create it on SNMMBOGOAS10):

Iam new to this forum. I need a solution for the problem iam facing in building my site. Ihave groups and briefcase section in my site. I allow users to upload files and pictures.
When they upload pictures i need to create thumbnail for them on the fly.
Is there any taglibs or java source to do this from JSP or servlets.

However, if you want to create gifs/jpegs and save them to the disk it depends from where you want to create the images. It is different if you are creating from another image or just drawing one from scratch etc.. But in the end you will probably need to use one of the imageencoder classes and write the result to the disk with the file io classes.

How to create content based portlet in 10g using JCR Data Control.

I have created a webecenter Application (portlet,content repository,jsf ) in jdeveloper 10.1.3.4.
and created a DatacontrolRepository connection for conent server , so inside the data control pallette I get all the methods such as search, AdvancedSearch,getItems.
Now I am trying to drop the getItems() method return value from JCR data control as a Table inside my JSR 168 standard portlet which i created.
But I am not able to see any of the content in my portlet.
If I drag the same method getItems() on to my jspx page ( inside my ViewController) its working as expected.
Please guide me how can get the content on portlet.

You can loop throgh query records whit an implicit cursor (which automatically manages the open cursor, fetch and next record):

If I understood you right, you are thinking far too complicated.
So, when you click a button, a new object shall be created and stored. So basically you write a listener to your button that contains a method like this:

}Maybe what got you confused is the object's name. Remember this: variables and field names DON'T exist anymore at runtime! They are just meant to help you when programming. If you want Mr. Brown as a customer, you have to provide a field in the customer class for the name. If a field is required for the existence of an object, you usually write a custom constructor for it, which accepts an according parameter.

You need to create a user table within your application that maintains their privileges. If you have LDAP you could use this for authorisation otherwise the table would handle that as well (store passwords etc). Your reports etc would then be filtered on information from this table.
Check out some of the sample applications to see how authorisation and access is implemented (Online store is one). The how-to on the issue tracking system should also have some useful pointers.

Could you please explain, how to create reports different ways and different object.
Ex:- 1. CKF and RKF
       2. Variables ( Characteristic, Formula and Text Variables )
       3. Structures and cells
       4. Exceptions and Conditions
      5. Processing types and details
Please provide every objects one examples, how to create flexible in reports in BI 7.0.
