How to create rules in business rule composer?

for
1.Id type cannot be null
2.Id type = Identity Card then
Insured_Id length should  equal to 13.

Create a new
version of vocabulary.
Right click on vocabulary to create a new definition.
Select the appropriate type of definition. May be in your case it from Xml Document Element or Attribute
Create another definition for
Insured_Id length. I assume it’s an element name to which you want to set the value as 13. Not that you want to set the property- length of the element to
Insured_Id.
Publish the
vocabulary.
Then create a condition as similar to the image shown below.
Also I would recommend you to go through the BRE-tutorial to learn about creating
vocabulary and rules.

  • How to get rid of Business Rule in JhsModel: JHS-00128 Allowable Values req

    JHeadstart 10.1.3.2
We are using FlexItems in our application.
The JhsModel implementation, shipped in Jar file jhsadfrt-10.1.3.jar, contains the underlying ADF BC objects for the FlexItem functionality.
When we try to create (or remove) a FlexItemDefinition of type Dropdown List, we are stopped by the error: JHS-00128: Allowable Values are required for this Item Display Type.
We do not want that - we have a UID that does not allow editing of master and details on the same page. Therefore, we will never be able to successfully create a dropdown list item since we cannot in the same transaction create the allowable values as well.
How could we disable this business rule - or remove it altogether? I suppose it is implemented somewhere in the jar file that contains the JhsModel project. What is the recommended way of disabling this constraint?
    thanks for your help
    Lucas

    Hi Lucas,
This error is raised if the number of allowable values is zero and the allowable values query of the flexitemdefinitions entity is 'empty'. You could write a (temporary) dummy allowable values query in the flexitemdefinitions entity in order to save the master, and then once you've input the allowable values in the details page, remove or reset the value in the allowable values query attribute of the flexitemdefinitions entity.
    Hope this helps,
    Regards,
    Ibrahim

  • How to create variables in payroll rules

    Hi Experts,
Can you please let me know how to create variables in payroll rules and how to assign values to them.
Please share some documentation on this topic.
    Thanks so much,
    Uttama

    Hi Vijay,
Variables can be created for -
    Char Values
    Texts
    Formula elements
    hierarchy and its nodes
    For Characteristic Values -
These are used to be filled by user in the query selection screen
1.In the filter tab of QD, select the characteristic for which you want to create a variable, right click - >Restrict
    2.Select variabes from drop down
3.Click Create new variable and then define its properties like "Processing By",Settings in Details tab etc and save it
4.Move it to the right side and click ok
Now you have created a variable and used it as a placeholder for that characteristic for which user can enter the value to act as dyanmic entry.

  • Issue with creating/Launching a Business Rule

    Hi All,
I'm using Hyperion version 11.1.2. When creating Business Rule in EAS console, we can't use admin user right ? Is there any specific reason for that ? I've created one other user called "BRadmin" and given admin privileges to all areas. I've logged in EAS console with the new user ID BRadmin and under "Business Rules" i'm trying to create a new Business Rule BR1. In the associated outline area when i'm trying to select "Select outline" no applications are showing under planning and the planning applications are available under Essbase node. For Business Rules, i should select Planning Application under Planning node right ? Why it is happening. I'm unable to select the Planning application from Planning node and due to this, i'm unable to see the Business Rule in Data Forms in Work Space. Pls. advice

I did Stop the following services, planning, EAS, hyperion RMI.
& Started them up RMI, EAS, Planning. After this have you logged in the planning application, before selecting business rules in EAS?
    1. Have you selected Calculation module as Business Rule during outline creation? if not select Calculation module as BR.
    2. Right click on the business rule node and select refresh user list.
    Cheers..!!!

  • Check which data records have been updated or created by the business rule.

    Dear all,
Is there any way to check which data records have been updated or created by the business rule?
       For ex:
When I run a data package which execute some standard store procedure and the log shows :
    Executing SPRUNCONVERSION  'LEGALAPP', [ACTUAL], [GGGG],'GLOBAL','SPSCOPE_42412','SPLOG_125272'
    SPRunConversion Version 2.06
    20071200 - 210 Rows Calulated
    20071200 - 84 Rows Updated
Anyway to see the data content of "84 Rows Updated "?
    Best Regards,
    Jeff

Yes each aplication has 3 fact tables:
FACTWB:Real time storage, when you send data it is stored here and this is linked to the FACTWB partition in OLAP which is a ROLAP partition to enable real time updates of the data.
FAC2: Short term storage. If too many records are in the FACTWB the aplication becomes slow because these records need to be queried by the OLAP engine everytime new records are send to the database. To clean up te real time storage you can do a lite optimize, which will move the FACTWB records to the FAC2 partition. this lite optimize can be done even when users are in the system.
FACT: this is the long term storage. When your reporting is finished you can run a full optimize to clean up both FACTWB and FAC2 tables and store it in the FACT table. This contains all your historical records.
Evertime you run a reort, SAP BPC is looking at all 3 partitions and combines the data of the 3 partitions to present the correct value in your report. Remember that BPC is posting differences in the WB and not the final values. So if you have for example a record with 10 in the FAC2 partition and you send 12 to the database for that intersection, BPC will post only 2. When running a report it combines the 10 and the 2 which makes 12.
Hope this makes it more clear.

  • How to create a new Business Unit

    Hello,
    I have problem.
    Can anyone tell me
1 : How to create a new Business Unit, New Company from Jd Edwards screen means webpage.
2 : Can i find the User Defined Codes means UDC in jd edwards screen.
    Thanks,
    Shakti Prasad Priyakumar.

First, let me confirm that you are on JDE World, and not JDE Enterprise One/One World. They are very different environments. JDE World is normally a green screen, IBM Client Access based system.
If you are on a JDE World menu and you have the proper security access, just type in UDC on the command line and hit <ENTER>. You hopefully are in a test environment when you do this, since it sounds like you have very little knowledge of JDE. The UDC screen will come up. If you know the system code and code of the UDC table you want to look at, you can key them in and bring up that table. Otherwise, do F5. That will let you search by system code and see what table codes are available in each system. If you are not sure what UDC table you need, you can look at the JDE data dictionary for the data item you are interested in and that will tell you the UDC table, if the data item is UDC based.
As for setting up new business units and company, get to the main general ledger menu. Don't remember the exact path, but you want to get into the setup/define menu for general ledger accounts. There will be separate options there for maintaining companies and for maintaining business units. You want to play with this in a test environment before you do anything for real.
    Hope this helps a bit.

  • How to view or Edit Business Rules in SOA Composer

    HI,
We have a requirement to use Business Rules with OSB. We have OSB 11.1.1.5 installed in Clustered environment. Installed SOA composer patch on top of OSB 11.1.1.5. I have createed and deployed the sample Business Rules WAR/SAR targeted it to Admin Server. I could able to open Business Composer URL. Though unable to see any Rules. Nothing is available in Composer. I have privilege as "Admin".
In Server --> Deployments --> Composer war is active.
What else I need to check to view the Business Rules in Composer! Please let me know quick remedy to overcome!
    Edited by: 945206 on Jul 10, 2012 2:51 AM

Don't know much about SOA Composer (sorry - you've hit the BPM forum), but you should be able to see the business rules from the Oracle BPM Composer. If you've installed BPM, go to http://xx:####/bpm/composer and you'll see business rules after poking around a little. Let me know if you need more help finding them.

  • How to make multi-tenant business rules

    hi'
I want to write tenant specific Business rules in multi-tenant application, please give me some tips of making multi-tenat business rule.
I know how to write common business rule for all the tenants.
    thanks
    Yatan

I'd suggest using Flash Media Interactive Server if you wish to make this type of application and use Flash as the interface.  I can't give you the details on exactly how to implement it, but using Remote Shared Object and FMIS would serve as the basis.  I believe that the package comes with examples of Shared Objects that can serve as a simple basis from which to proceed.  After that you might want to see if you can find an available whiteboard app that can be leveraged to do as you wish.
I apologize in advance if using this type of solution is a non-starter, I've been using FMIS locally and have plans to eventually implement something similar to this type of drawing app as well.

  • How to add access to business rule in calculation manager?

    Hi all,
I would like to add access to each business rule in calculation manager. Is it the same method used like in 9.3.1? I can't find any document talking about that.
    Thanks
    Gary

    Hi,
I thought it goes on the rule security, so say you had two rules in a ruleset, if you give access to both the rules to a user then the user will also see the ruleset.
If you gave access to one of the rules then the user would not see the ruleset.
    Ok?
    Cheers

  • How to create the roles and rule

    i buddies,
here i have small requirement, but i am confusing to do that as i am new to OIM. my requirement is
    1) i have to create 2 roles named a and b.
2)then i have to create one rule which states that these two roles can'be the same in that organization.
3)after that i have to create one user and i have to assign the first role i.e a.
4)if i assign the second role ie b to the same user , it should not allow me.
to accomplish this task what is the work flow i have to create ? please tell me the steps...
    Thanks
    Balu

First create 2 user groups called Group A and Group B.
Create the group membership rules for A and B which will instruct oim to evaluate group membership rules when a user is created in OIM.
for example: If user's cost center (on the user form) is "AAA" then he should be assigned to Group A. this will be your group membership rule for group A
Then for constrcuting the group membership rule for Group B you can say,
if user's cost center !="AAA". This will ensure that any single user in the system will not be a part of both groups at any given time, depending upon this attribute called cost center.
you can then define access poclicies on the groups/roles which is used to auto-provision resources for any member of that role/group.

  • How to create a new business group in production instance?

    Hi All
How can I create a new Business Group in Oracle Apps in a production Instance where there wont be any HRMS responsibility. Do I need to create a new Business Group through Inventory responsibility ? Any documents about this issue?
    Thanks and Regards
    M.A.Rahman

why do you need to create a new business group? To implement HR? If so, linking a HR responsibility to your user, is one of the few steps to go anyway.
How you did it on the test environment?
Why not link a hr resp to your user temporarily, and disable it later.
I'm always afraid to answer this kind of questions, since the real requirement is not described.

  • How to create BPEL Guided Business Process

I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.3 with the updates for BPM Studio.
I created an application with a SOA project with a SOA BPEL Process. When I opened the BPEL process, I can't find the "Activity Guide Properties" icon to open the "Edit Activity Guide" window to setup the "Activity Guide" as per the documentation:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e15176/soa_activity_guides.htm#insertedID7
I looked through everywhere on the BPEL process screen and the menus but had no luck to find a way to open the "Edit Activity Guide" window.
Anyone knows how to open the "Edit Activity Guide" window within the BPEL process ?

I believe the documentation for createing a BPEL Guide Business Process may be incorrect
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e15176/soa_activity_guides.htm#CJAHCECC
Incorrect #1: there is no "Activity Guide Properties" icon anywhere when the BPEL process is opened.
(I am able to open the "Edit Activity Guide" window by clicking the "Activity Guide" node under the "BPM Project Navigator")
Incorrect #2: There is no "Expose as Activity Guide" check box in the "Edit Activity Guide" window
My hypothesis on setting up a Guided BPEL process is to set the set the BPEL process as the root process in the "Edit Activity Guide" window.
This is based on how a Guided BPMN process is setup.
However, the drop down listbox for the "Root Process" is empty even there is a BPEL process created in the project.
As a result, I can't set the BPEL process to be the root process of the "Activity Guide".
I am pretty sure there is no way you can create a Guided BPEL Business Process following the instructions in the above documentation link.
Hopefully, I'll hear from some BPM guru from Oracle who can point out how to create a Guided BPEL Business Process using JDeveloper 11.1.1.3 with plug-ins for BPM Studio.

  • Calc script, Business rule and business rule macro

    Hi John,
Can we use calc script , BR sequence and a BR macro against different databases at a single go.
In one calc script or BR sequence or BR macro itself can i calculate 2 databases

If possible could you not start every post with my name, there are lots of others helping on this forum and they provide excellent answers
Calc Scripts run against one database.
Sequences can contain multiple business rules, in the launch variables you can set the database to run against for each rule (outside of the planning application though)
Macros are called from a business rule and are run against the database the calling rule is being run against.

  • How to create 10-up business card design with adobe... perfectly designed business card guidelines

each side of the page has to be equal so the prints can be cut.
    2 x 3.5 cards
also if you guys have any options for printing my first business cards and cutting them myself i would be very grateful
i am very good with photoshop and generally all computer programs. if you need more details feel free to ask.
    thank you.

You can print with multiup, but the pages generally are scaled a bit and that is probably not what you want. A lot depends on how you created the business card. The classic way is to use something like WORD an create multiple copies on the screen. Avery has templates for use with their card stock. Doing this with Acrobat is not a typical workflow, but might be able to be done if you play around with the multiup printing or such, but I would not depend on it.
