How to create new Sheet in Excel file and write into it

Hi to all, my requirement is this:
I have an excel file (.xls) with multiple sheets (three sheets for precision: sheet1, sheet2 and sheet3).
I must create in the same excel file new sheet, say sheet4, read data from sheet1, sheet2 and sheet3 and write them into sheet4.
How to realize this in SSIS?
Expecially, Is it possible to realize this in SSIS?

You need to create the sheet with the required metadata. There's no use creating blank sheet.
Also metadata has to be fixed using a sample sheet prior to start of the package for setting the mapping. You may create a excel template for this purpose to just set the mapping at design time.
At runtime pass actual excel sheet path for ExcelFilePath property of the source to point to correct file.
Also the create table statement should include the same metadata info (columns)

Hi, well it works fine! I have used a sample sheet prior to start of the package for setting the mapping.
Next at run time pass actual excel sheet path for ExcelFilePath property of the source to point to correct file.
However I have set also ValidateExternalMetadata properties of the Excel Destination to false and DelayValidation properties of the package to true.
Now my problem is the following:
I stored the three sheets name (sheet1, sheet2, sheet3) in the Object type user variable through a script task and the foreach loop loops through the three sheets stored in the variable.
Now, I want that at each iteration the CURRENT VALUE of the Object type user variable is mapped into another user variable wich in turn is given in input to the Excel Source.
Resuming:
-) I have to copy the content of three sheets (sheet1, sheet2, sheet3) of excel file into another new sheet, sheet4.
-) I stored the three sheets name (sheet1, sheet2, sheet3) in the Object type user variable.
-) With a foreach loop container I loops the three sheets stored in the Object type user variable.
-) Within a foreach loop container I have a Data Flow Task that transfer data from source sheet (sheet1, sheet2, sheet3) into destination sheet, sheet4.
-) PROBLEM: how to change dinamically at each iteration of the foreach loop the name of source sheet? In the destination excel Task the sheet is always the same at each iteration, sheet4. But in the source excel task the name of sheet musts change at each
iteration. In particular at the first iteration the name of the source sheet must be "sheet1$", at the second iteration "sheet2$", in the last iteration "sheet3$".
How to change sheet name dinamically at each iteration?

How to create "time sheet" bar chart?

Hi Experts,
I am using Crystal Reports 2008 and I would like to ask the steps to create a time sheet liked bar chart with following information:
Imagine I collected the CPU usage of a computer every 30 seconds.
In the report layout, X-axis should be the time of date. Such as 00:00, 06:00, 12:00 and 18:00. Y-axis should be the exact date. Such as 2009/05/01 to 2009/05/31. Highlight color should be applied to identify the usage. Such as <30% is gray, 30~70% is blue and >70% is red.

I tried to use bar chart template but crystal report sum up the total duration, not the exact time. When using Gantt chart, it almost fulfilled my requirement. But the bars of same date is not aligned horizontal, just like stairs.

Xls. sheet for Master data upload

Hi Can any body suggest me or send me the sample, how to maintain xls. sheet Template of particular fields for Infotypes 0,1,2,7,8 etc for the purpose of data upload.

You can look into the Standard Business Blueprint Templates - Data Transfer Tool of SAP....and get an idea...
Check this Note 1060029 - SAP Best Practices for HCM US - Variants, Misc, LSMW ...
You will find files for infotypes and you can set up your templates based on these....
Other way is to
Go to SE11 >> Enter the Infotype Number PNNNN (with NNNN being the Infotype)...
It presents you with the structure.......Copy that structure and you can create your excel sheet with that template....

Creating Style Sheets for Existing Text

Can I get some advice on what would be the easiest way to create and apply style sheets to a document that was layed out w/o any? My Art Director layed out a dozen pages of actual type w/o any style sheets. It's a pretty basic layout with Headers, Sub-heads and body copy. There are no "space afters" applied to any of the hard paragraph breaks after sub heads, and nothing has style sheets applied to it. All text has Basic Paragraph applied. I know how to create style sheets based on what he created, but then how would I apply to the rest of the pages w/o having to physically format it all? Thanks for any help with this.

Your initial response was laden with typos and sarcasm, as is your second. If you dont want to be bashed then practice what you preach. Again, and for the last time, if you dont have an answer to a question you should refrain from posting.
No "space after" does not mean that it is shift-return! The space is depending on the settings of the Paragraph (Style) in Intends and Spacing. And sorry, a lot of people here mean with the same words different things.
And yes, send your Art Director to a training, because when smeone uses shift-return instead of properly paragraphs he has not enough knowledge to do word processing.

How do I create multiple sheets in an xls workbook email attachment?

I've been looking at report BCS_EXAMPLE_7 to see how to attach an excel document to an email but I don't see how to create an excel workbook with multiple worksheets. The example creates one workbook with one worksheet. I'd like to have multiple worksheets in the workbook (one for each time bucket in the report).
I'm guessing I need to insert something into the binary_content but I need some help finding where to start.

Execute one report save it in the workbook, then you can goto the tools and click insert query, like that you can add how many queries you want. then right click on the reports goto properties there in the interface tab click the check button for refrsh all the queries. finally save it with the option save existing wrokbook(beacause you already save the first query in the workbook)

...says to find the icon of the pad and pencil:
in the View > Toolbars > Formatting menu. But it's not there. IN addition, the options in the formatting toolbar only become clickable if the cursor is in the text of some topic. I think the directions must be pointing me to the wrong place.

I found it,
Just type the first 2 date and select both of them, Click on the little white button that appears at the bottom right and drag it down... All the following dates come.

I am creating a service entry sheet from the PO but I am getting an error of u201CPlease maintain services or limits Message no. SE029- Diagnosis(You cannot enter data until the PO item has been maintained correctly) u201C
The document type of the PO is standard NB, account assignment category is Q- (Proj make to order) and the item category is D(service). Then I am trying also create a PR using account assignment category is Q- (Proj make to order) and the item category is D(service) but still cannot proceed, a message asking me to enter a service entry number. What I know the process is create a PO(maybe based from PR) then post the GR then create a service entry sheet in ML81N but I cannot proceed. Just creating a PR or PO using those mentioned account assignment and item category and getting an error of need to enter a service entry sheet number.

Transaction Code : ML81N
1)To open the respective Purchase Order, Click on the u2018Other Purchase Orderu2019, then enter the Purchase Order No.
2)Click on the u2018Create Entry Sheetu2019 icon(3rd Icon on Top-Left)
3)Give Short Text (e.g. R/A Bill No. 1) and top service entry sheet number also generated.
4)Click u2018Service Selectionu2019 Icon on the Bottom of the Screen.
5)For the 1st Time, when we are making Service Entry Sheet for a respective Purchase Order, we need to u201CAdopt Full Quantityu201D by clicking the Check box next to it, then Enter. (*For the next time, no adoption is required, just continue)
6)Select the respective Services by clicking on the Left Hand Side, then Click u2018Servicesu2019 (Adopt services) icon on the Top.
7)Give the completed Quantity, then Click u2018Acceptu2019 icon(a green flag on the top)
8)Save .
9)Service Entry Sheet is SAVED and account posting made.
