How to define a second view-handler (decorator)
Hello,
I'd like to implement the ViewHandler decorator proposed by Adam Winder to accomplish authorization.
http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=502322
Besides, I use myfaces and Tiles, thus already having a Viewhandler defined
How do I decorate the Tiles View-Handler?
I don't know if this would be correct...
<application>
<view-handler>org.apache.myfaces.tomahawk.application.jsp.JspTilesViewHandlerImpl</view-handler>
<view-handler>my.package.myViewHandler</view-handler>

Jan
Hi Surya,
As a starting point you should review the SAP Help on the subject, this will explain the steps required to get a catalog up and running.

Cost Component Structure - expand or further second view
Hello experts,
I have a cost component structure with 40 elements. Now I need 5 further elements, but without changing existent variable / fix components.
One idea is to build a 2nd component structure as "cost component split". But how I implement a second view, what are the steps watching the other structure in customer calculation, or CO PA?
Thanks for help!
Regards JuergenOh yes, I forgot about the Limit... You can check for any available OSS notes.,.
As far as I know, the upper cap is 40 and SAP does not allow more.. It makes sense to me that having cost components more than that is difficult to handle
Can you think of revamping your CCS?

How to get different value in second view of webdynpro?
hello guys,
In ABAP webdynpro I am trying to create one application having two views.
One view contains input field and another view contains table control.
In module pool if one screen contains input field then second screen display the details in table as per the selection criteria in first screen,same way here in first view what ever I will enter as per the selection details should get display in the table.
Now I have created the application and now I am executing the application.
Here in first view in input field I am entering the selection criteria and when I am nevigating to second view it desplaying the details what I want in the table but now I am having one more pushbutton to nevigate to first view again and I am trying to enter the value but this time in the second view in the table it showing me the same details what there was in previouse details.
Can anybody please help me out?Hi
YOu can use it in WDDOINIT Method associated with the VIEW just go to attribute tab and
IF_FLIGHT_VIEW double click on this Interface you will get all the methods.
Don't worry about all these methods.
Use Web Dynpro Code Wizard to get the required Declarations ( Hope you did it already) .
your element instance combined with the method Name.
For reference take the help of WDR_TEST_UI_ELEMENTS.

Hello, I use mail, my version is (uname -a)
Darwin Igors-MacBook-Pro.local 11.4.2 Darwin Kernel Version 11.4.2: Thu Aug 23 16:25:48 PDT 2012; root:xnu-1699.32.7~1/RELEASE_X86_64 x86_64
and I want to define my message font to particular font, f.e. arial. I've read some manuals and noticed, that there is way:
-Open Mail
-Preferences (from mail menu)
-Font & Colors tab
-Message Font
but as far as I understand, this way defines our font view and not actual font of sent message, because when I compose message and send it, my recipients, despite the fact that message was sent in HTML and not in plain text, have my message displayed in their own default fonts.
So I sent one message to my another mailbox and viewed the underlying HTML code to see this two portions:

first portion was my text, and I see no HTML tags to define font. After that comes my signature, which is heavily formatted and contains default font, so my recipients see it exactly how I want.
But what about message text? How can I define it to be displayed upon arrival to my recipients' mailboxes in exactly that font I need?If I understand your request...
MIME-encoded mail clients will usually send both plain text (or base64-encoded plain text) or rich text (or probably base64-encoded rich text, but I haven't seen that) and also as HTML, and an arbitrary mail client might display the text or might display the HTML. And then there's whether the HTML will be rendered the same, and that's far from certain.
HTML moved various parts of the viewing and rendering details from the perview of the provider or the presenter or author along to the viewer. This is a large shift from what went before, and from what the expectations of the producers were. Fonts were one of those details that moved to the client, too. Not all fonts exist everywhere, and font fallback and font overrides are common. I regularly override the sizes of some messages, and various clients allow that and allow overriding the font choice for one that's more readable. (This change gets into trusting the HTML reader to configure their client for what they prefer, and sometimes for what they can see and read.)
Put another way, the viewer can and will select local fonts and font sizes and such, and may or may not honor the sender's requested fonts.
Formatted HTML itself — such as the Apple Mail.app stationery — is somewhat problematic in general, as client rendering differs. Apple's stationery works well among Apple clients, but can be rendered differently with other clients.
ad for your case, I've been able to set the sending font — brute-force ⌘A in the text area — by changing the font within the compose window. But whether an arbitrary mail client can or will honor that is an open question.
If you really need to set font or page layout or related formatting within a document, then create and attach and send the message as PDF. This is what PDF and Postscript and similar formats are intended to do; to provide the classic producer-defined document viewing. Text will render more or less the same, though you can encounter oddities around line wrapping and line endings and related, and particularly with some mail servers and mail gateways.
If not attaching a PDF or such, then you're going to have to live within whatever your mail client and the receiver's mail client happen to implement. That's the way mail (doesn't) work in a heterogeneous network. -
How to define different styles to different levels of hierarchical titles?
With difficulty, I found how to define a style for hierarchical titles, i.e.:
1. First level
1.1. Second level
1.1.1. Third level
etc.
But all levels will have the same character parameters (font, size, etc).
What I would like is, e.g.:
1. First level
1.1. Second level
1.1.1. Third level
In MS Word, it is easy: you define a different style for each level. In Pages, I found no way to do this, and no clue in the user's manual.
Is it possible (I guess it should be), and if so, how?
Thanks
ÉricYou need to use the Styles Drawer. Go to: View > Show Styles Drawer. To define a Style, highlight the formatted text then click the plus sign at the bottom of the styles drawer. To delete a style, secondary click on the style and choose Delete Style.

How to define BPC architecture?
Hi All,
Iu2019m a BI and BPS consultant and Iu2019m doing a prototype for evaluating BPC for Sales Planning and I need some help.
Process flow as:
a. Extract sales from COPA (amount and quantities);
b. Copy Actual to Budget version;
c. Create new customers;
d. Delete old customers;
e. Calculate the seasonality of sales & and adjust budget;
f. Load & adjust prices
g. Load & adjust sales costs
h. Calculate Net Revenue
i. Calculate costs
My file format is as given below:
Account|Category|Time|RptCurrency|Entity|Customer|Product|Amount|Quantity
Questions:
1- There is a specific KF to load quantity or I should use another account? If so how do I load the unit measures?
2- I tried to load my file in u201CEuru201D but I received an error. The upload only finished OK when I changed the currency to u201CLCu201D. There is any trick?
3- In customer dimension, I add the sales org. attribute but it didnu2019t work out because a customer can have more than one sales org. There is any way to define a compound key for a dimension?
4- Where can I find relevant documentation about BPC?
Thanks for reading my post.
Regards, FredHi Shyam!
Thanks for your answer.
1. I followed your suggestion and load the data twice (one for amount and another for quantity) but I still have de unit measure problem (KG, TON, etc.). Any suggestion about how to handle this situation?
2. Yes is easy for me to convert LC in any other currency after the data load. But the problem is that I must load data in multiple currencies (EUR, USD)u2026
3. No it didnu2019t work out. Let me give you an example:
Customer Sales Org Distribution Channel
100001 AX01 1
100001 AX02 2
When I tried to process dimension I received the following message u201CMember ID must be uniqueu201D. Any other idea about how to define the compound key Customer and Sales Org?

How to Print the whole view content from a button on the View Layout
Dear All,
Good Morning All
I am New to WebDynPro.Solution needed Urgently
How to take print whole view content(lay out) in
webdynpro application.i.e whatever it may be tablecontent or label or inputfield .
Could you send the coded part briefly step by step from the beginning itself i.e
i put the button in the view lay out below the printed parts(label or inputfield) name like show preview .
Now my Question is what should i write in show preview function to take the print in label fields in the webdynpro view lay out
B'cos i am new to webdynpro.Help me
Thx in advance
Regards
DhinakarWeb Dynpro by default does not provide the option of printing the view content.
However still you have a round about way of doing it. Create the an html page similar to the Web Dynpro page. Store the code into a String variable.
String html="<html> ....<scripts>window.print()</scripts></html>";
bytes[] source=html.getBytes();
try{
byte[] b=new byte[1];
IWDCachedWebResource res=WDWebResource.getWebResource(b,WDWebResourceType.HTML);
String url=res.getURL();
}catch (WDURLException e) {
// TODO: handle exception
Now open the url in a new window and that would print the content of the html page.

How to define ABC class field in the Customer Master Sales tab
HI All,
can any one let me know how to define the new ABC class in the Customer Master Sales tab like below.
u2013 A (> 6,000,000 )
u2013 B (> 1,000,000u20136,000,000 )
u2013 C (> 100,000u20132,000,000 )
u2013 D (< 100,000 )
can any one let me know how to define and path in IMG.
Thanks in advance.
kumar reddy.In my opinion, you don't have any such std table/view to update ABC Classification field. You might need to update relevant infostructure based on your requirement, such as sales, invoiced, etc..
Try with following, based on your requirement:
MC(A
SIS: Customer,Inc.Orders - Selection
MC+A
SIS: Customer Returns, Selection
MC+E
SIS: Customer, Sales - Selection
MC+I
SIS: Customer Credit Memos - Selec.

How to restrict access to views for some users in the app?
Hi SDN!
I have an WD application wich embedded in the portal. Appication has 2 iViews (and 2 pages respectively). These iViews consist several views connected with each other (e.g. one view provide list data, second view is add/edit form for this data). I need to restrict access for some users for view with add/edit form. I can't make separate page for this view.
What I've done:
1) create yet another UIContainer for this view in main window and embed view to this container. It was be done for create separate iView for form.
2) in the portal I create iView for this form but don't embedd in any page.
When I try to call my form from list data (that is one iView from another) I get exception:
<b>com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException: duplicate usage of view .MyCarRentalAddCity</b>
Is there a way to get needed functional?
Thanks,
LevHi,
do you need to remove the IView from the portal menu or do you just want to make a View container in your WD application invisible if the user doesn't have the rights to see it.
If so, you could create your own roles on the app server:
You need to create a new class that extends NamePermission like:
import com.sap.security.api.permissions.NamePermission;
public class ApplicationAccessPermission extends NamePermission {
* @param name
public ApplicationAccessPermission(String name) {
super(name);
* @param name
* @param action
public ApplicationAccessPermission(String name, String action) {
super(name, action);
Also, you have to create an Action.XML file that looks like this:
<BUSINESSSERVICE
NAME="com.vendor.administration">
<DESCRIPTION
LOCALE="en"
VALUE="actions view usage"/>
<ACTION
NAME="View Permission">
<DESCRIPTION
LOCALE="en"
VALUE="Show view"
/>
<PERMISSION
CLASS="com.vendor.utilities.ApplicationAccessPermission"
NAME="ShowView"
/>
</ACTION>
</BUSINESSSERVICE>
If you have created these to files in your packages, you can access this function like:
IUser user ;
try {
user = WDClientUser.getCurrentUser().getSAPUser();
if(user.hasPermission(new ApplicationAccessPermission("Show view"))){
wdContext.currentV_UIElement().setViewVisibility(WDVisibility.VISIBLE);
}else{
wdContext.currentV_UIElement().setViewVisibility(WDVisibility.NONE);
}catch (WDUMException e1) {
wdContext.currentV_UIElement().setViewVisibility(WDVisibility.NONE);
e1.printStacktrace();
You have to bind the ViewVisibility attribute of the context to the View Container you want to hide.
The applicationAccessPermission you defined in the XML File will be visible in the UME Manager of you J2EE engine. With this action you can create a new role and group that you can map to the users that should see you view.
But, the exception you get is because you have embedded one view twice, which is not possible.
Hope this helps.
