How to deploy a simple .jar (containing Helper classes) in Weblogic?
Hi,
I have created multiple .jar files.
1) MDB.jar containing all my MDB classes.
2) Bean.jar containing all my Session Bean classes.
3) Utility.jar containing remaining Helper,utility classes.
I had deployed MDB.jar, Bean.jar by using Weblogic Console, under 'Deployments'-> 'EJB Module'. How can i deploy Utility.jar ? First of all, do i need to deploy Utility.jar? Only EJB JARs need to be deployed?
If we do not deploy a non-EJB JARs, how this code will be available and is executed?

I'd recommend you deploy these 3 components together in an EAR file. THe utility jar file could go in APP-INF/lib, or you could reference it via manifest class-path entries.

Hi All,
I am running a test on WIN 2K pro Japanese system. When I deploy an ejb bean with
using Japanese character in the Java src code and also in ejb-jar.xml file, some
exceptions were thrown.
I am thinking that the weblogic cann’t pass ejb-jar.xml which is encoding as UTF-8
but with Japanese character. Could you please let me know how to configure the
Weblogic to solve the problem or to encode the ejb-jar.xml differently?

select ejb modules
Click deploy new ejb module
a browse will come, browse and find the applicaiton folder where u have kept your ejb
Select that and click deploy..
Error msg or successful message will come in the console window.

If you are used to working with ant then you can very well use eclipse to deploy your web service.
You would usually have the ant script in the source root working directory. From eclipse if you select the build file from the navigator view and right click you will see a run ant option in the pop up menu.
Select that option and you would be able to see each targets with a checkbox select option. So define each target maybe one for wsdl2java conversion, one for compilation and one for deploying your web services. You can either make all of them run by having depends option on or you can run them individually as it takes your fancy.
I am not sure about debugging a web service yet.

How to deploy a sbconfig.jar of alsb in weblogic server 9.2 automatically?
I tryed to use the %Domain_Home%\user_projects\domains\ALSBDomain\autodeploy folder, and found that it only accepts war and ear file.
So do anyone have a solution?
Thanks.sbconfig.jar is a proprietary format jar that cannot be deployed into weblogic like standard ear/war/rar files. Only OSB API will understand this jar. So you you should use http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e15022/app_config.htm#i1012336 for deploying into OSB

OIM 9 - How do I add a jar to the classpath in WebLogic?
I have a custom Scheduled Task that I am trying to add and it references a 3rd party library. I placed this 3rd party lib in /ext and restarted the server, but whenever I try to save my new Task, I get a ClassNotFound error for the 3rd party task. I don't know where I can add it to the class path.
I start OIM via the /bin/xlStartWLS.sh which has no classpath's defined. The only file that has the OIM jars is the xlStartManagedServer.sh, but I don't see where that's getting called.
Any help would be appreciated

Arrangement of jar containing main class
Hello all,
usually it is required, that that jar file (let me call it "main jar"), which contains the main class (by which the application is entered), has to be the first jar in the order of the jar files within <resources> of the jnlp file.
Now if a patch of the "main jar" is created which doesn't contain the main class, where has this patch jar to be arranged in the jnlp file? Because it is a patch jar, usually it must be arranged in front of this main jar, that it is read before the main jar to load the patched class correctly. On the other hand it is required, that the jar with the main class has to be the first ...
Therefore again: Where has that patch jar, described, to be arranged?

I placed the SDA file in the JSPM inbox directory and the JSPM could not detect this file as hotfix. I am getting the following error, it looks like i need to use the Netweaver developer stuido to deploy the SDA files.

Add helper class public parts as used DC in EJB DC

I have created a JAVA DC project containing the helper classes.
For this helper classes i have created a Jar file.
I have also created two public parts
1) with an option Can be packaged into other build results (e.g. SDAs)
2) with an option Provides an API for developing/compiling other DCs
Now i want to use these public parts in my EJB DC.
I have added the API public part in my EJB DC as build time design time and run time.
Now when i am getting java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: for the class defined in JAVA DC helper class.
Can you help me in resolving this?

1) I have a java DC containing helper classes and an EJB DC referring to it.
2) Now to access this EJB DC, I have created a java command bean DC.
3) And I am using this command bean Java dc in my WebDynpro application.
4) Now for deploying the helper class, I have created a library project.
5) To this library project I have added the SDA and API public part of helper class as used dc.
6) I have added this java library file as used DC in WebDynpro DC and in EJB DC.
7) I have added the library reference to the WebDynpro DC for J2ee server component library DC As pg.comaptsc~dc_aptjl
8) When i checked in Visual admin i could see the Assembly (SDA) helper class jar file.
In my helper class files, I am getting this warning.

Now in my webdynpro DC when I refer to the helper class through the EJB, I get this error.

Dear Experts, I have WD ALV table where user edits values in the cels using dropdown by key element. Then after edit he saves whole table. When value is changed in dropdown box the roundtrip to server occurs and it takes noticable time for every cell
