Hi,
I am unable to debug the jspx page on Jdeveloper Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.6.0, Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.6.0_GENERIC_111205.1733.6192.1, using Windows 7 OS.
When right click on jspx page , clicks on Debug option, it gives the following error:
Debugger unable to connect to local process.
[Server Instance IntegratedWebLogicServer is shutting down. All applications currently running will be terminated and undeployed.]
I also restarted the Jdeveloper, even re-installed Jdev but still the problem persist.
Any help is appreciated.

If the jspx page is not part of the adfc-config.xml the page can only be displayed, but the tags will not work as the adf life cycle is not involved. drag te page onto the adfc-config.xml (the unbounded task flow), right click on it and select debug from the context menu.
Main problem is : Weblogic server cannot be started in debug mode.
To check this, open the application navigator, select the integrated server, right click on it and select 'debug' from the context menu.
After a short time you should see some messages and at last you should see <Runnning> in the message log. Now the server runs (without any of your applications, but it runs).
If you done't see the 'Running' message you should see an error, which you should post here.

Unable to debug the application in Jdeveloper

Goto 'Application Server Navigator' from view menu. Right click in your intg server instance & debug it.
If it not solves the problem, go inside console of server instance & Activate any pending changes.
Last option to remove this instance & create a new one.

Generally the DBAs are aware of the OPP service log. They can tell you the cause of the problem.

OutputLabes, values in selectOneChoice are appearing twice in the jspx page

Hi All,
In a Jspx Page, there are two menu tabs. Each Tab has a PanelForm and each panelform has certain components.
By default the first panelform in the first tab will be shown on page load and while clicking on second tab, the second panelform will be shown.
The first panelform has three selectonechoices and three command buttons.
If i click on reset button, these 3 selectonechoices are set to null by backing bean.
Here comes the problem, after clicking on reset, if you click on second tab where the second panel form available, certain components like outputLabel and the values in selectOnechoice, are appearing twice on the page.
Can anyone suggest me how to get rid of this problem..

Thanks a lot for your reply, but i am using JDev 10.1.3.3. There is no panelFormLayout component and i am not using that component.
Even i am strange this duplicating of components and values in selectoneChoice occuring from past 2 days in the old file. I am wondering whether my file got corrupted by any sort.

How to remove the caching in the jspx page?

I have few links in a jsp page through which i can navigate to jspx pages. In one of the jspx pages there are few drop downs of whose options will be populated from database. when I select a value from the drop down (values are prepopulated in the drop down), then go to the jsp page and visit the jspx again through the link, (without closing the browser) the value which i selected previously is selected as a default value. Why this is happening? Is there anything to be set to remove the caching?

I have an application which uses JSP - only welcome page, ADF Faces, Spring, Hibernate technologies. The IDE I am using is NetBeans 5.5 bundled with Tomcat & JBoss.
The welcome page (index.jsp) consists of normal html anchors - hyperlinks (2 Numbers) which each hyperlink would navigate the user to 2 individual jspx pages.

Hmmm, I wonder if that window is hidden or off screen? Have you moved the pic window around to look under it?

Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions.

I have created a library folder, imported the colour swatch as just 4 colours as a mulib file. I drag the four colours on to the muse page in design view but that is as far as I get. Can anyone help? I don't know since I don't share anything. You'll have to peruse the help files and check the permissions and ACLs on the Shared folder. According to the permissions on the Shared folder everyone can R&W. If you want those to be inherited by everything dropped into the folder, add an ACL for
everyone allow read, write
Details in the manpage for chmod. The actual steps are left as an exercise.

PageMethod response returning whole page, unable to debug the server side method

Error while running jspx page from Jdeveloper

I'm trying to customize LegalEntityDashboard.jspx of finance common ear , but while running the page from Jdeveloper I'm getting below error,

Is that al what you see in logs? If there is more then please go through again carefully. There are certain serlvet and filter dependencies that are required to be commented out in the web.xml to be able to run it. I am creating a test application that application i am utilizing jheadstart API it is working fine but if I delete my application form my jdeveloper IDE nest time I am loading the same application my jspx page is not showing in code editor it is showing following error

Hello Prabeethsoy,
1- May be you just deleted the workspace file, but the contents of the project was still there.
Then, but re-opening or re-creating it, at the same place, could damaged JDev's setup.

Also, there is an extension that adds the option to delete a workspace or project
that you can get from the help->check for updates.
It's called "Remove Workspaces and Projects".
2- If the above doesn't work, can you tell me if your application can get opened
by the same JDev version on a different machine (or different JDev-Home)?
If so, then keep a backup of your <JDev-home>/jdev/system directory
and of your application then delete the <JDev-home>/jdev/system directory.
This will remove the .layout files and reset the layouts to the 'factory settings"
once JDeveloper is restarted.

Not able to see the tree on the jspx page after running

Hi All,
This is something strange.I am dragging the VO on the page fragment from the data control as adf tree. And I am using the panel collection as component for adf tree.
After running the jspx when I am moving to the fragment I am not able to see the tree.
However when I am running the AM it is working properly for the view objects and view link used to populate the tree.
Can anybody put some thoughts on this.

I am dropping taskflow as region . I am not using the switcher component.
On left side of the page the tree is visible now. but the taskflow is not refreshing on the click of the tree node based on the value of the node.
Please advice how to accompolish this now??

Take too much time to render the OAF page from JDeveloper

Hi Gurus:
It takes over 30 or 40 minutes to run a OAF page from JDeveloper, my JDeveloper is 10.1.3.3.0, and connect to the remote the DB server. I don't use the VPN. And one of my colleague in the same office take about 8 minutes to run a OAF page. It's painful to take too much time, Anyone can shed some light on this?
