I wanted to know how can I display the version number of my own project, the adobe air version, the flash version, the operating system, the processor, the ram installed of the users system in a label.

In the end it worked for me as well. Once I uninstalled any previous version and any version that I tried to install and didn't work, then installed the 2.7.1 the Advent Calendar that I wanted to show animation worked. I know, a small thing, but I really wanted it to work.

I´m developing an APEX application that displays Flash videos on a html page.
I could display the video, but without the flash control bar (PLAY, STOP, PAUSE, SOUND VOLUM, etc).
I´ve created an HTML region on a page with de following code:

How to display Flash Content uploaded in Admin Console

I have created a flash content in the admin console.Flash file is uploaded to a binary property.
I have to display that flash file in the JSP.
Normally , a Image can be displayed in the JSP , with following tag,

SrinivasThere is no wlp tag to display flash image. You have to use HTML object tag for this. Just google it and you will find lot of answer how to include flash file in your JSP.
Either you pass a path to your repository or save the file somewhere on you local drive and use that path.

I have installed the Adobe Creative Cloud and I have installed Adobe Flash Builder 4.7 (64 Bit). It seems that the latest, stable, version of the Adobe AIR SDK is 16.0. However, the Flash Builder that installs from the Creative Cloud installs version 3.1 of the AIR SDK. Why is this? Part of my intent with purchasing the Creative Cloud was to be up-to-date with the latest applications and libraries. This seems like a severe oversight at best, or a poor decision. This is 2015. That SDK is over 4 years old. Why doesn't the latest builder ship with the latest libraries?

How to display flash controls on top of an external application?

We have an external application which is running on top of the Flash player. Is it possible to display the flash controls( like button) on top of this external application?
Example: Flash player is running a swf file and we also displaying an output video on top of this flash player by an external application. Do we place a flash textbox to display the video filename over this video display?
ThanksI'm afraid you cannot do that.
You have two distinct ways of achieving what you want:
1. You load the video inside the Flash application (provided it's in a supported format) and then you have all the freedom to overlays whatever Flash component you want on top of it.
2. Depending on the technology and platform with which the external application is built you can instatiate multiple Flash player controls inside of it and place them under and over the video in order to achieve what you want.
The first solution is the best approach as it will work across platforms seamlessly and you just have to use one technology/language (Flash/Actionscript) to do it. If the video is not in one of the supported formats you can check out Flash Media Encoder that is bundled with Flash Pro.

You can find the 2.7.1 version at Archived Adobe AIR runtime, SDK versions. The next version of AIR available was 3.0 and we are currently on 3.1. Did you have software which is referencing a 2.7.4 version or does 2.7.1 work?

I tried using devactivated function of flash.display.STAGE.
I used following addEventListener:
STAGE = this.parent.stage;

It worked for me but only when device is connected to development environment in debug mode. When I create my release build
it is not working.

My macbook air (version 10.9.4) display flickers, has random tabs and windows opening, and there are random ads almost everywhere. All this happens when I am using safari. What can I do?
1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
Don't be put off merely by the seeming complexity of these instructions. The process is much less complicated than the description. You do harder tasks with the computer all the time.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you're having any kind of trouble with the computer, you may be at higher than usual risk of losing data, whether you follow these instructions or not.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. As I wrote above, it changes nothing. It doesn't send or receive any data on the network. All it does is to generate a human-readable report on the state of the computer. That report goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. If you prefer, you can read it yourself without disclosing the contents to me or anyone else.
You should be wondering whether you can believe me, and whether it's safe to run a program at the behest of a stranger. In general, no, it's not safe and I don't encourage it.
In this case, however, there are a couple of ways for you to decide whether the program is safe without having to trust me. First, you can read it. Unlike an application that you download and click to run, it's transparent, so anyone with the necessary skill can verify what it does.
You may not be able to understand the script yourself. But variations of the script have been posted on this website thousands of times over a period of years. The site is hosted by Apple, which does not allow it to be used to distribute harmful software. Any one of the millions of registered users could have read the script and raised the alarm if it was harmful. Then I would not be here now and you would not be reading this message.
Nevertheless, if you can't satisfy yourself that these instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
4. Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed:
☞ Copy a line of text in this window to the Clipboard.
☞ Paste into the window of another application.
☞ Wait for the test to run. It usually takes a few minutes.
☞ Paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page.
The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. You don't need to copy a second time. Details follow.
5. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode, under the conditions in which the problem is reproduced. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
6. If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. If you can't log in as an administrator, test as the affected user. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this section doesn’t apply. Don't log in as root.
7. The script is a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, though you may not see all of it in the browser window, and you can then copy it. If you try to select the line by dragging across the part you can see, you won't get all of it.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
8. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
9. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "Syntax error" or "Event not found," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
10. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
11. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
[Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report the results. No harm will be done.
12. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with the words "Start Time." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
13. When you post the results, you might see an error message on the web page: "You have included content in your post that is not permitted," or "You are not authorized to post." That's a bug in the forum software. Please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

How can I download an old version of Flash?
The newest version of Flash broke my billing system back
office. The developers of this billing system are based overseas
and are extremely unreliable so I cannot depend on them to fix this
in a timely manner. It could be 2 days or 2 months. I just don't
know.
In other words, the newest version of flash broke the program
I need to do my job. I need to rollback to a previous version as
soon as possible.
I found a file on this forum called "fp9_archive.zip" which
contains old versions of flash. However, everytime I try to install
any version besides 9r124. I get this error:

If you are a Flash developer and require a previous version
of Flash Player for testing detection schemes, refer to "Archived

The following may help you solve your problem.

If you previously installed a later version of Flash Player

Uninstall all previous versions.
Before you install Flash Player for any Windows browser,

Note: All applications must be closed before you run the
Flash Player uninstaller. Quit all running applications, including
all Internet Explorer or other browser windows, and all Instant
Messenger clients. Check the Windows system tray carefully to make
certain no applications which might possibly use Flash Player are
still in memory.

Safari 1.3.2 is the newest version for Mac OS X 10.3.9. You need to upgrade to Mac OS X 10.4 to get a newer version; a G3's maximum OS is 10.4.11.

Flash Player version 10.1.102.64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users. However, this Flash version won't work for many videos on Facebook, YouTube and other sites. Adobe's latest version, 10.2.x or later, is only for Intel Macs. Adobe will not provide a newer Flash version for PPC Macs.
The message requesting that you download Adobe Flash Player takes you to Flash Player requiring an Intel processor. Doesn't work on a PowerPC processor. I found a hack, installed it & it works with Firefox, TenFourFox & Safari.
Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.

I have a similar problem than sam6sam had except that I'm on Safari. After the Mountain Lion security update I did last Friday, I had to update Flash. I installed .149, deinstalled, restarted, reinstalled .149 about 2 dozens times and it didn't work. Yesterday I saw that you had .167 and thought "finally they will have fixed this issue". After doing the same deinstall restart and install routine another dozen time, I give up!

It looks like it's installed. When I go into System Preference Flash Player shows "Plug-in version 11.6.602.167 is installed.", yet when I want to see a flash video it tells me that I don't have the software and need to install it. My Safari Preferences allow for Pop-up and Enable Plug-in. My "open 'safe' files after downloading" is clicked.
I've search all of Adobe, Apple and other geeky website's "help" area, and nothing I tried worked, including the "sudo" commands in the terminal (the answer to this one is "command not found").
I'm really frustrated by this. There is certainly something that I overlooked, but I cannot figure it out. Help!
