How to display records based on current month and last month???

i have a query that want to display the data for current month and last month. when i try to view the reports, all the data/key figures is return all in 0.00.
i modify the variables for this current month and last month but still the results is the same. i could not see the data. any advise on how to modify the variables for this current month and last month? i am thinking my variables is wrong.
for the current month variable:
the type of variable is characteristic value, processing by customer exit, reference characteristic is calendar year/month.

Hi,
If you install the variables from BC correctly and they are in active state, you can use them directly use them. check for this month the total values at info cube is ZERO or some value. as you told you are getting ZEROS for your input.and check the data at cube level based on your query design, apply all restrictions, fileters and see do you get any data at cube level and compare with report.

Which Time variable should use compare this month with last month

We want to calculate the increaed number of employees according to one action reason e.g. Entry to company compare with last month. In this case we have to use time variable in BEx query designer. Now can see 0calmonth has serval variable available.
1) Should we use [0CMLMON] for last month and use offset for this month like [0CMLMON]-1 or [0CMLMON]+1 or use variable [0RSTTCM1], which variable should we use for this month and last month? Do we need to create variables by manually?
2) Then using calculated KF to calculate the increaed number of employees, is this logic correct? If it is wrong, please info.

Hi,
For the comparison of last 2 months data, you can use two Restricted Key figures with reference to 0CALMONTH and it is better to use only customer exit variable for both RKF's.For the Last month use offset value as -1.

Hi Ajay,
If you have more than a year data in your database then your formula will return wrong results. ie. If your data consist of 2012,2013,2014 data then below formula will return all 8th month data irrespective of year. So, you need to check year also here
month({PROBSUMMARYM1.OPEN_TIME})=month(currentdate) and
Year({PROBSUMMARYM1.OPEN_TIME})=Year(currentdate)
Now add Abhilash second statement in OR so, your formula should look like :
(month({PROBSUMMARYM1.OPEN_TIME})=month(currentdate) and
Year({PROBSUMMARYM1.OPEN_TIME})=Year(currentdate))
OR
Date({PROBSUMMARYM1.OPEN_TIME}) IN [DateAdd('d',-7,Maximum(LastFullMonth)), Maximum(LastFullMonth)

How to display the index of current desktop when enable multiple spaces

I was using 10.6 before and used to using Spaces and puts applications into different desktops.
Now I'm using 10.8 and I know that the Spaces has been integrated into Mission Control.
The problem is, I can see the current desktop on the top bar in 10.6, but in 10.8 I cannot see it so I usually forget where I am.
Does anyone know how to display the index of current desktop?

Brute force - - I have written the number of the Desktop directly onto the wallpaper picture I am using for each Desktop (easy to do with Preview).
All Desktops are using different wallpaper photos, so they are easily recognized by the color scheme, and in the upper left corner is the number.

You have to implement a page breake yourself.
Simple scenario would be to store a page number into a session:
session.setAttribute("page", selectedPage)
every time user clicks on a next page link
When displaying the record read the page and display only those which should be on the page
Integer selectedPage = session.getAttribute("page")
if (selectedPage == null) selectedPage = 1;

Parameter for Current Month and Previous Month

I'm trying to create a parameter for current month and previous month based on the ex_date, but not sure what i'm doing wrong.

I created a second dataset below for the values in the parameters.

Once I preview it I get "Conversion failed when converting date and/ or time from character string" I changed the data type to "date/Time" but that did not make a difference. The date is convert (varchar(10), ex_date, 101) so looks like
11/12/2014.
I've also tried expressions like =month(now()) to pull current month with same error so i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong. Any ideas?

i tired this real simple report
in the first dataset - my main report query - select name from sysdatabases where month(crdate())=@month
in the second dataset - select month(getdate()) as Month1
in the parameters - choose int data type and available values - select the second data set
in the first data set- add this parameter..( i am assumming you know this, since you have done)
in the preview you should get the drop down with current month number - 3
and if you run the report, it will display the database names that were created in march. remember we are no checking year, so will get all that were created in march across the years.

I have a request where the user parameter is calender year month (YYYYMM).I need to show the records of both the entered month and previous month.
For ex: if the user enters 201107, I need to show the records of 201107 and 201106.
Also,I am not using dashboards.

No, I don't see this as a solution. A session prompt can only be overridden by using a Request Variable, but they are found in Dashboard prompts which you have excluded as a solution. Therefore, any session variable you set would be "hard-coded" eliminating end-user interaction. Sorry.
You will need to deploy dashboards for this. I will also add this: eliminating dashboards really restricts the power of OBI because it makes it difficult to implement interactive reports such as the one you are building. Perhaps you should use this example as a push to consider adding the value of dashboards to your environment.

Hi,
I just started with Java3D last week.
I assume you mean drawing polygons with outlines (wireframe) in one color and polygon face filling with another color. If so, I've got the same question! (I usually think of "contour" to refers to plotting surface intensity of independent data like temperature or elevation, but I don't think you mean this.)
The only solution I've found so far is to make two shapes with the same geometry.
Here's an example - an outlined and filled cube. I made it using a generalize class DualShape which is two shapes with the same geometry, but one filled and one as a line.
It works, although I can't say I understand the setPolygonOffset(), knowing what value to set. Without the command, the depthbuffer can't consistently decide which should be in front between the fills and lines so it looks bad.
I certainly think it would be nicer to do both internally, like:
pa.setPolygonMode(pa.POLYGON_LINE || pa.POLYGON_FILL);
And then have setFillColor and setLineColor for each.
I don't know why they don't allow this - maybe OpenGL can't do it like this so Java3D follows.
If anyone has any better ideas I'd like to hear about it.

What you describe would be possible by recording your video, then removing the audio from it and adding audio from GarageBand once the video is in iMovie (I presume here that you are using iMovie for your video production. Other applications may need different methods.)

You can open / Initialize previous period with MMPI transaction, however, using this T-code please go through <b>OSS note 487381</b>, the main contents as as follow:
Before you start period closing with initialization, you must be aware of the consequences of period closing with initialization.This note describes the possible data inconsistencies that might occur if you carry out the initialization in a productive system.The resulting inconsistencies are not to be traced back to a system error but they are a result of the period closing program with initialization
The initialization of the posting period to a previous or to any posting period may lead to the loss of the information of the inventory balances of the previous periods.The book value of the current posting period is taken as the basis also for values of the previous period in this case.
If you want to continue working with this new posting period, in addition you should execute report Z_DEL_HIST_ENTRIES attached so that history entries greater or equal to the new posting period will be deleted.
