DES:- I know by using pivot and unpivot you can convert rows into columns and columns into rows but i don't know how to write the syntax?

How to display the color of time period and the legend in Calendar view?

Sorry to disturb you guys with a quite simple question.
I want to do a calendar view to display the period of absence for the portal user. I've setup the iView but it displays neither the color of time period nor the legend.
The problem is:
1) If I test with static legend (that is, I input the time period directly in the form instead of using data service),
 a) I could only define one time period, because it's impossible to map the out port of calendar to in port of form on defining the event as 'goto'.
 b) I can't see the color displayd while deploying although there is just one time period! Neither the legend. I' ve given the label and color of the legend and assigned the action as default in design board. Why it doesn't work?
2) If I test with dynamic legend following the chapter "Display Date on a Calendar" in the Modeler's Guide of VC;
 I assigned @RECORDNR to 'ID legend field', and used BAPI_ABSENCE_GETLIST as dynamic legend data service to edit the legend, and assigned the color for every ID. But neither color nor legend could kindly appear. What's the problem? Is there any error in the edit of entry list of the legend?

When you get an error with external tables (or sql*loader) look in the same folder as the data file and you should get a .log file and maybe a .bad file too.
The log file should indicate the nature of the error it has trying to load the data.

In order to analysis the result of "Learner response", we need known the “Question” and “Answer” description of each Quiz in a SCORM player.
Does Captivate return these information back to LMS?
For example :
I have created a quiz with one question.
Do you have a dog? ------->Question description
(A)Yes ----->Learner response
(B)No
After complete the quiz on LMS, Captivate will return the "Do you have a dog?" and "(A)Yes" back to LMS ?

We have requirement to build OA page with the data needs to be populated from one table and on save data into another table.
For the above requirement what the best way to implement in OAF.
I understand that if we attach VO object instance to region/page, we only can pull and put data in to only one table.

You can achieve this in many different ways, one is
1. Create another VO based on the EO which is based on the dest table.
2. At save, copy the contents of the source VO into the dest VO (see copy routine in dev guide).
3. commiting the transaction will push the data into the dest table on which the dest VO is based.
I understand that if we attach VO object instance to region/page, we only can pull and put data in to only one table.
if by table you mean a DB table, then no, you can have a VO based on multiple EOs which will do DMLs accordingly.Thanks

Use this method, we need to calculate the average height size of the text box in the tablix. For more details, please see:

Calculate the page height size of the tablix in Property windows.
Use the page height size divided by row number. We can get the average height size of the text box.

Thanks for many suggestions. I tried by providing the "Total" under "Calculate Results as" and also "Counter for all detailed values" under "Calcuate Single Values as", in the "Calculations" tab of the key figure, but i am unable to get the information. Again, i am providing the requirement below:

How to display the sort value in the selection screen in the report title? I have selected a value in the selection screen for sorting , but i need that values by which i have sorted with in the report title. Can you please throw some light on this!!

Hi Arun,
Try this.
1, Set one dynamic parameter,
2, Drag and drop that parameter into your report title.
3, Pass the value(sort value) dynamically from your application,
4, Cheers..
Other wise Try with Dataset, create a dataset and fill thev alue into that.. Then set the data source from CR designer. and darg and drop that data column into the report.

How to display the Default DateTime in the date field via sctipting i have a requirementy to show in one of the date field as next day's date with 9:00 a.m time stamp(2/15/2010 9:00 A.M) the data type of that field& column is UTC_datetime.please help i am getting.

Have a look at the function Today(), TimeStamp() and ToChar()
You should be able todo it with something similar to this:
Expr: "ToChar(TimeStamp(),'MM') + '/' + ToChar(TimeStamp(),'DD') + '/' + ToChar(TimeStamp(),'YYYY') + ' ' + ToChar(TimeStamp()+(1/24),'HH') + ':00:00'"
as a pre-default value.
