How to do DTW of Excisable Item?

Dear All,
How can i do DTW of Excisable Item within the Item Master Template of DTW. As there is no column referring to Chapter Id within the Item Master DTW Template.
Please guide me in regard to this problem. As My client is having more than 5000 Excisable items in his old legacy system.
And now he wants to Import this excisable items in the new Legacy System i.e SAP Business One 2007 B PL1.
   Regards
Hitesh Parsawala

You cannot import Excise Information through DTW as these fields are not exposed via DI API.
We normally insist the client to enter the Excise information in Item Master manually.
Check this SAP Note: 1078102     DI - Expose Excisable field in OITM table

  • How to import Excisable items through DTW

    Hi Experts,
How i can import the excisable items through DTW,  In which column of Oitem Template i have to mention that Item is excisable or not.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Pankaj Sharma

    Hi Pankaj Sharma,
Not all fields are exposed to DI API.  Therefore you may not be able to upload all fields by DTW.  Excisable items might be one of unavailable field.
    Thanks,

  • How to Import  Excisable Item Details -  through Item DTW ?

    Hi All,
Throught Item DTW, How can import  the Excise related information in Item Master like - excisable item check, Chapter ID,Accesable value etc ?
    Rgds
    Swapnil

    Hi ,
i have one more solution to Import Excisable Item through DTW.
First Update Excisable field 'Y'  (SQL  Query ) then Create user define fields for excisable and then  import data by DTW  to these UDF's.
after that from SQL Query you can updates all excisable fields by  these UDF's.

  • Excisable items in DTW

*I canu2019t able to export *Excisable items in DTW for AR *Invoice. *Which template I have to take?

Yes it is possible to upload ar invoice using DTW
after creation of delivery-->outgoing excise invoice.
You can extract required information from Table -Delivery DLN1 using query generator like Base Entry,Base Line,Base Type as this details are must to filled
    in oInvoice - Document_Lines template.
Then you can ar invoice using  to
    upload datas using templates Documents,Document_lines
basic templates in DTW oInvoices folder.
As the solution mentioned in above 2 paras involves tedious process,it consumes much time.
Hence create ar invoice using document generation wizard easily.
Sales A/R --> Document Generation Wizard
Explanation for how to creating ar invoice from delivery
    using document generation wizard.
Step-1 Select option New Parameter set,Enter Set Name,Description.
Step-2 Select Target document option as A/R invoice,
Enter Reqd. posting & document date,
Selecat reqd. series name of ar invoice,Tick mark Items/Service - Select No summary option.
Step-3 Tick mark base document type deliveries,Enter delivery posting dates also select required series name
of delivery if you defined seperate series in delivery,
Tick mark Expanded selection creteria,Select option
document number mention from doc. no. and to doc. no.
    in sequence.
    Step-4 Select Option Consolidation/No consolidation
select option No consolidation,if you want to create ar invoice from delivery one-to-one.
Step-5 Click Add customers, add customers using
    selection creteria.
    Step-6 Keep Missing Data,Book Keeping,Inventory options
    as default.
Step-7 Select reqd. options as in Step-7,take back up and
    then proceed.
Step-8 It will show target documents and error & also warning messages in red.
Draw back of using Document Generation wizard,
you can create ar invoice from delivery for one posting date.
Suppose for example if delivery is created for various posting
dates(01/05/08,03/5/08,31/05/08 etc.,) but in ar invoice will
be created for posting date mentioned in Step-2.
    Hope it will solve problem.

  • How to add Excise item with out chapter id

    Dear all,
How to add Excise item with out chapter id?
Chapter id of purchae items will be known only after receiving Invoice/gate pass/delivery  chalan from supplier/vendor
To send a purchase order we need to create that particular item in the master, but with out assigning chapter id system is  not allowing to save without chapter id.
    How to solve this?
I am with SAP 8.8 and PL 10
    Thanks in advance
    regards,
    Kumar

    Hi Kumar,
Refer the book of chapter ID or find out on internet you will get the chapter ID.
Still if you not able to get  the chapter id then consult with excise advisory.
But you can add Excise PO until you have the excise details in Item master.

  • Importing excise details for an excisable item

I want to import the Items through DTW. But these items are excisable items. Is there any seperate template for it. The item.xlt template does not have columns to enter the data like material type, chapter ID,Notification availed srl no.Assesment value for excisable items.
    How do I do it?

This is really time consuming job to mark for 10,000 item excise details.
You can insist your client to mark the Excise Information as and then he enters a transaction.
Say for example your client is going to place a PO for 4 Items that are excisable, he can goto item master and mark excisable in Item Master and them generate the PO.
You can follow the same process for GRN/ Invoice/ Quotation/ Sales Order/ Delivery/ Invoice.
Over a certain period all your items would have been marked with Excise information.

  • How do we raise Incoming Excise invoice on Vendor1 and A/P Invoice on Vendo

    Hi All,
How do we raise Incoming Excise invoice on Vendor1 and A/P Invoice on Vendor2 for a single purchase order?
The Scenario:  PO is raised on Vendor2 for certain goods excisable and Vendor2 is not registered under Excise hence i cannot get Incoming excise invoice from Vendor2 or I cannot raise Excise invoice in B1 on the name of Vendor2.
    But
the same goods (which are excisable) were already supplied by Vendor1 to Vendor2.  So here the excise invoice is coming from Vendor1 and A/P Invoice from Vendor2 how this is actually handled in Business One?  How do we show the A/P Invoice amount due on Vendor2 and the Excise Passed from Vendor1?
    Thanks
    SV Reddy

    Hi Thanga Raj,
what you said is works only for payment consolidation.  where in a particular purchase two vendors are involved, the tax updates should go into relevant vendor master data.  in the above case excise is updated in the vendor1 account and RG23 also should be generated on the name of Vendor1.
Since you already raising incoming excise invoice on the name of Vendor1 you also need to raise A/P Invoice on Vendor1 (this is mandatory, from the goods receipt PO when you click copy to Incoming Excise Invoice and A/P Invoice the system automatically inserts "Vendor1")
but how do you update the Vendor2 account only for the A/P Invoice VAT portion.  Because in reality the VAT you are paying to Vendor2 since you need to raise the a/P Invoice on the name of Vendor2.  it is not actually happening in business one.  If you try to raise A/P Invoice on Vendor2 from this Goods Receipt PO, initially the system copies Vendor1 from GRPO and if you change and try to add the invoice on Vendor2 name, the system will ask you to create a serial number again if the item is excisable.  here the work is duplicated for the same item you already created a serial number while you creating the Goods Rectipt PO from Vendor1.
Any body knows any other scenario please help me.
    Thanks
    SV Reddy

  • Sales Return of Excisable Items

    Hi All,
How do we post sales return for an excisable item, where Delivery, Outgoing Excise Invoice, A/R Invoice, all three have been created?
When we post a Sales Return, it shows a message to create an Incoming Excise Invoice. But does not allow to create a Incoming Excise Invoice, says that IEI can not be created on the base of this document.
The credit memo also could not be created as it ask for creating an IEI first.
    Regards
    Rahul Jain

    Hi Rahul,
If you posted AR invoice return should be only done
thru AR credit memo and you need to mention
outgoing excise invoice reference no.in Excise Ref. # of
Accounting TAB of A/R credit memo before adding credit memo.
Incoming excise invoice will be created automatically.
Hope above answer will solve your problem.

  • Return of Delivered Excisable items

    Hi All,
user has made delivery for excisable item. Then created Outgoing excise invoice followed by AR Invoice.
Due to some reasons the material was returned by customer for which if i try to enter AR Credit memo based on the AR invoice it get follwing error:
"Enter excise reference number   [Message 140080010-9]"
Let me know how to complete the above step since it is required soon.
    Solution will be appreciated.

    Hi Prince.......
When you Copy AR Invoice to AR Credit memo just go to Tax Tab and enter the Excise Ref. No. there as its compulsory for Incoming material.........
    This will solve your problem.....

  • Downpayment for Excisable Items

    Hi all,
How to Create Downpayment Invoice for the Excisable Items basing on Purchase order or GRPO?  When I tried to do, I am getting Unbalanced Transaction Error. Pls revert me with solution ASAP
    Thanks

    Hi,
In Purchase A/P --> A/P Down Payment Request or A/P Down Payment Invoice.
In A/P Down Payment Request :
Based on Purchase order or GRPO you will create A/P Down Payment Request. In this document, you will see DPM field. In this field enter the Amount you pay for the supplier. Based on this A/P Down Payment Request you can pay the amount using Banking --> Outgoing Payments and pay the amount.
When you prepare A/P Invoice, You should prepare the invoice for the full amount(ie., without reducing the advance amount). While payment is made thru Outgoing payment it will show the Advance paid thru A/P Down Payment Request and A/P Invoice Amount. Select both the rows and make the payment. Automatically, the downpayment amount will be reduced and balance will be paid to supplier.
In A/P Down Payment Invoice :
Based on Purchase order or GRPO you will be creating the A/P Down Payment Invoice. In this document, you will entering the Advance amount in DPM field. Based on this payment will be made as explained above.
When you prepare the A/P Invoice, you will include the advance amount in the A/P Invoice in DOwn Payment Field. When you include the Down payment  in A/P Invoice, the total amount will be reduced from the advance amount and the invoice will be prepared for balance amount.
Note. : In both the Down Payment Request or Invoice you should use "Tax Exempt" as Tax Code. (ie., Tax should be exempted.)
