How to do partial clearing for noted items?

Good day,
One of our client's requirement is the partial clearing/reversal of noted items. When i access F-04 (Post with Clearing), the amount of the noted item once selected, is not reflected in the amount shown in the lower right part of the screen, thus i cannot create partial, residual or difference posting for such items. Are there any workarounds? or standard transaction which can address this requirement?
Thanks.

Good day,
Thanks for the helpful answer.
But does this mean that documents will just add up because instead of creating a partial clearing, we create another document? is there any way of linking these two documents? by use of reference or something? so that when the client views the documents, he will know the history of the documents?
thanks. also, im assuming that for example the noted items are "cleared", we have to reverse all the documents created for that particular noted item?

  • Partial clearing for noted item

    Hi
    I have created a bank guarantee (BG) given to customers as  a noted item.
    When receiving payaments from customer (after invoicing is done to customer), i need to clear this BG (noted item). This clearing of noted item needs to be done for partial amount. But in clearing screen, partial amount field and residual amount field is greyed out for noted item line. Let me know how to clear noted item partially.

    Hi,
    The functionality you required is not available in SAP standard system.
    Noted item is only a note, it is impossible to do partial payment or residual payment when you clearing it with an  invoice together, so the amount field is greyed out.
    Recommend you to consider to use alternative reconciliation account functionality, but this is real FI document  with debit and credit , not noted item.

  • How to avoid duplicate posting of noted items for advance payment requests?

    How to avoid duplicate posting of noted items for advace payments request?

    Puttasiddappa,
    In the PS module, we allow the deletion of a component pruchase requisition allthough a purchase order exists. The system will send message CN707 "<i>A purchase order already exists for purchase requisition &</i>" as an Iinformation message by design to allow flexible project management.
    If you, however, desire the message CN707 to be of type E you have to
    modify the standard coding. Doing so, using SE91, you can invoke the
    where-used-list of message 707 in message class CN, and to change the
      i707(cn)
    to
      e707(cn)
    where desired.
    Also, user exit CNEX0039 provides the possibility to reject the
    deletion of a component according to customers needs e. g. you may
    check here whether a purchase order exists and reject the deletion.
    Hope this helps!

  • Clearing of noted item

    Hi guru
    How to clear the noted item ?
    Thanks
    shivaji

    Hi guru
    here i am giving you the details of the configuration we did.
    I have done the configuration as follows for Letter of Credit:
    1.created a G/L a/c - Reconciliation a/c type
    2.maintained the spl. g/l indicator-L as a noted item in OBXT
    3.maintained the L/C in TC-57 as a noted item which created one line item as credit to vendor
    4.In TC-F-53 we entered spl. g/l indicator L under open item selection & while clearing the open item, it cleared the liability originally created for vendor.,but not the noted item.We have checked it in TC-FBL1N the same noted item appears as open item.
    Now how to proceed.

    Hi ,
         I created noted items in F-57 for posting of Post Dated Check to Vendor.
        How can i print for Noted items.
    In FBZ5 , we can print checks for Paying Document number.
    any one suggest answer.
    Regards

    Purna,
    This is not possible in standard SAP. SAP has provided only two options for this. The one which you explained and the other in which you define the percentage of usage probability.

  • How to set partial delivery for Purchase Order line item

    Hi Team
    We have created a PO for 100 quantity along with 25% over delivery tolerance.  We have done 5 GRNs totaling for 95 quantity.  when we try to do another 10 quantity, system not accepting the GRN.
    I want to set the partial delivery for this line item.  Please help how to do this.
    regards
    Ravi

    where did you check the underdelivery tolerance of 0?
    the PO is the place to check, changes in material master will notz effect existing POs.
    if you removed the delivery complete indicator and the item still does not show up in MIGO, then set the "propose all items in MIGO settings"
    if it still does not show up, then you might have other restrictions like confirmations , last goods receipt etc.
    the error 'Document does not contain any selectable item" is often discussed in this forum, you will find numerous threads that list what you have to check.

  • How To create Library Functions for Validate Items

    Hi all,
    My form Consists data block blk_user with two items
    username and password
    Both user name and Password are required Fields.
    When user left these items Empty To show Alert
    I Created Below Procedure and Called in Form_Level ON-ERROR Trigger.
    PROCEDURE pcd_io_alert IS
         itm_name VARCHAR2(20);
    BEGIN
         IF Error_type ='FRM' AND Error_code = 40202 THEN
         Message(get_item_property(NAME_IN('SYSTEM.CURSOR_item'), PROMPT_TEXT )||' Should
    Not Be Empty');
         SET_ALERT_PROPERTY('ALT_IO',ALERT_MESSAGE_TEXT,
              (get_item_property(NAME_IN('SYSTEM.CURSOR_item'), PROMPT_TEXT ))||' Should Not
    Be Empty');
         itm_name := Show_alert('ALT_IO');
    RAISE FORM_TRIGGER_FAILURE;
         END IF;
    END;
    It working fine.
    Could You Tell how to call or create this procedure as Library functions and call the created library in form To SHow Alert. Actually I want to create library functions to Validate and Show Alert Mesages.
    Regards
    R.MaheshBabu.

    Hello,
    Could you give Some examples or links related to how To create and call library functions For validate Items..For creation you already created one procedure and you called on error. So for creation and call it is clear. Now you are talking about validation for items. It depends on your requirement. As you check validation in items's triggers you can also check validation in function/procedure of library. You can use parameter to pass values and check the validations. And you can create the procedure/function in library like this...
    PROCEDURE My_Proc(Parameter_Name IN DATATYPE) IS
      Variables Declarations...
    BEGIN
      -- Here check the validation on the passed value.
    EXCEPTION
      -- Exception Handling part...
    END;
    FUNCTION My_Proc(Parameter_Name IN DATATYPE) RETURN DATATYPE IS
      Variables Declarations...
    BEGIN
      -- Here check the validation on the passed value.
      RETURN <ANY VALUE>;
    EXCEPTION
      -- Exception Handling part...
    END;
    Is it Possible to use system variable ':system.cursor_value' while creating PL/sql library functions?Yes, because it is clear as you used for CURRENT_ITEM like NAME_IN('SYSTEM.CURSOR_item') so you can use SYSTEM VARIABLES.

  • Change Documents - FB02 for Noted Items

    Hi
    I posted one customer noted item (with TCode F-49) for bank guarantee. There are two fields BSEG-MSCHL and BSEG-MABER.
    Now i have defined drop downs for the same.
    While posting transaction, user selected wrong items from dropdown and saved the document. Now in FB02, i tried changing these fields, but these fields are not appearing only.
    I checked in Rules for changing document line item. These two items are there in the list of fields allowed to change. Inspite of this its not appearing.
    Let me know the reason why these fields are not appearing in FB02.

    Transaction type field is empty.
    There is a tick in FIELDS CAN BE CHANGED.
    In stipulations for changing, only following is ticked:
    LINE ITEM NOT CLEARED
    In stipulations for changing, following are unticked:
    Posting period not closed
    Customer Debit or Vendor Credit
    No invoice related memo
    No credit memo for down payment

  • How to create production order for multiple items having common raw materia

    Dear all,
    We are running a sheet metal fabrication company at Vadodara Gujrat.
    Please guide us how to create single production order for multiple items using single raw material??
    For example, We want to produce baby shirt(item code AAA001), shirt with full sleeve(item code AAA002), shirt with half sleeve(item code AAA003),shirt slim fit (item code AAA004),shirt loose fit(item code AAA005) from single raw material say(item code XXX001).
    Right now we have to create 5 production order to produce above 5 items of single sales order  in SAP B1 though it is made from single raw material which is foolishness and time consuming too. (Please also note that to produce any finfish good item, raw material required for that item may vary every time in our process.)
    Kindly guide us how to solve the problem.
    Thanks.

    Hi Rupesh Gorashiya,
    This is possible through MRP for that you have to put Sales Order first and Run MRP Wizard
    MRP Wizard Put Multi Production Order as per Item Taking in Sales Order just click it on and execute.

  • How can i decide candidates for line item dimension?

    1Q): we have many infocubes out of all these infocubes, i have to decide which infocubes are the candidates for lineitem dimension? How to do it? Please tell me the technical specs how to do the analysis to find out the candidates for line item dimension?
    2Q): if i have the small dimension can i combine all these dimension in to one dimension? what is the benefit of doing this? how to find out which dimensions are small?
    <u>Pizzaman i like to hear from you on this topic</u>. Thanks to SDN Community. i appreciate your help. Again Thank you.

    The process of figuring out what you might want to create as a line item dimension can vary a bit, it can depend a lot on your exisitng level of domain expertise (how well do you know the data in question). If you are familiar with the data, I would recommend you just take an initial guess at what you believe could be line item dimensions.  If you are not familiar witht the data, you might want to examine the source more to understand the cardinality of different characteristics and identify any relationships between characteristics.
    I really encourage people to just go ahead and model it and load some data and review, rather than agonizing over developing the theoretically perfect model on paper before they start. You learn a lot more that way.
    Any of the SAP rules of thumb, are just that, general rules, not a pronouncement from God.  There are always extenuating or unique circumstances that might warrant disregarding the rule, e.g. if the InfoCube will never become very large, maybe some of the concerns just are not worth your effort.
    With every release of the Oracle (and the other DBs too)Oracle keeps getting better at data warehousing and star schemas. Oracle 10i is supposed to have made handling bitmap indices much more efficient, which is on of the  factors influencing the decision to create a line item dimension.
    There are other threads on SDN on line item dims that provide more technical detail and can help answer you first question
    As far as 2Q - generally, it's better to have several small dimensions than one larger dimension. But having said that, combining a few <b>very small dimensions</b> into another  slightly larger (<i>but still small</i>) dimension is a good idea. It keeps the number of table joins down which will improve query performance. You would do this with characterisitcs that have very few values, e.g. yes/no indicators.
    e.g.
    You have 8 characteristics that all of which have only two values. You put them in one dimension, and the max size of the dimension table is still only 2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2 or 256 rows.  If you had these characteristics in other much larger dimensions, it's not hard to see it causing those dimensions to double, perhaps creating hundreds of thousands of dimension table rows to be created.
