How to dragdrop text of list elements in TextFrame.

hi,
i have a panel with list which implemented using TreeViewWidget. I want to add drapdrop functionality to list elements which are the tree nodes.I have written implementation for "IID_IDRAGDROPSOURCE" for tree node by referring sample "PanelTreeView". But the flavor "kPMTextFlavor" in my case is not working.Also the "IStringData" interfaceptr from dataExchangeHandler is getting zero.
Is anybody tried to drag static text with kPMTextFlavor or is any other flavor should be used and what about IStringData??

If the text is a static test, you can change it without any code.

If the text of the label/button is bound to a context attribute (dynamically set)- then you will need write some code in pre, post or overwrite methods based on your requirement.

This is painstaking work that I would like to avoid.

I am using a BSP application named CRM_IC, which is using "TextEdit" Element & i want to limit the text entered in it.
Is there any property like Maxlength in BSP as its there in HTML.

hi Abhay,
I think not is possible with bsp extension crm_ic.. I only see paramater of visualization, not content paramaters.
Try to find other bsp extension or if you requirement is mandatory try to develop it...

How to highlight a selected list element

Hi,
I have created a list and assigned it to page 0. It is displayed in the form of DHTML tree on each page
of the application. Then linked some page to each element of the list.
When I click on any of the element of list, it navigates me to the desired page.
Now, my requirement is when that page is displayed, the element on which I have clicked should be
displayed highlighted on that perticular page.
Please provide a solution.

DON'T edit the list you use! Believe me, bad things can happen if you do... :'(
I'm using: Pull Down Menu with Image (Custom 1)
-> Make a copy of the list template.
Open the copy and find following
Template Definition
- List Template Current
- List Template Noncurrent
Here you can set the HTML-Attributes of your list items.
I don't know... Maybe you could use bolt or underline...
I hope you are good in HTML. I learned is a week ago, so I'm no expert. ;)
Then you just have to use your new template list in the application.
"Current" and "Noncurrent" can be found, when you edit your list entry:
Current List Entry
- List Entry Current for Pages Type := Colon Delimited Page List
- List Entry Current for Condition := 1 <=== Your page number, where the item has to be "current"

How to edit text of UI elements in sap standard ABAP webdynpro component

Hi All,
I have a requirement wherein I want to change the standard text of mainly LABEL UI in travel and expenses ABAP webdynpro components. As per my knowledge we canu2019t change UI text directly by changing it in layout in enhancement. We have to do it via wdmodify view method and post and pre exits methods.
Can you please help me with the steps that I have to follow and code?

Create a Pre Exit method for WDDOMODIFY method of the view , and in that method code somthing like this.
lo_button TYPE REF TO cl_wd_button.
lo_button ?= view->get_element( 'ID of button' ).
lo_button->set_text('New Text').

Using a Site Studio 10R4 Dynamic List Element Definition

Hi All,
I've created and can use a Static List Element Definition > Region Definition > Region Template with no problems based off of the 10gR4 samples.
However, there is no example that I've found to utilise the Element Definition of a Dynamic List. I'm attempting to use the same sample code as provided for a Static List but having no luck displaying the results of the query...
Does anyone have some sample code used in a Region Template or Sub Template to show how we use a Dynamic List Element Definition please?
I noted from another thread in this forum that there are some iDoc calls to make which load the query defined in the Element Definition... I can't find any documentation regarding this either.

How to create dynamic list element in Site Studio designer?

I have installed the Site Studio Designer(10gR4).The dynamic list element that i have added in the contributor region executes a query to search and display all the files in a particular folder.In the contributor mode when i try to add/edit the dynamic list element it gives an error saying :

the emp_list displays the employee_name and return the employee_id
I need the following:
when_list_change , i need to put the label of the selected element in a text item :EMP_NAME_TEXT
I can put the put the element value easily when the user select an element

I need to put the label not the value

DITA + FM: How can I change the automatically insert text for the element info?

Hello,
when I insert the element info in a topic, FrameMaker automatically insert the text "ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:".
How can I change that?
I know how to change it for the elements result, postreq and prereq. I change the text format rules for the elements in the topic.edd.
But the element info has no text format rules and when I search in the topic.edd for the text "additional" or "info" I dont find something.

thanks a lot for your reply! I've found the code in the EDD on page 65.
"... is using the @type attribute value ..." - I have changed the values in the DTD (Structure\xml\DITA\app\dtd\commonElements.mod), but that didn't had any effect, not even after a restart of FM. I also changed the note attribute values in "dita-map.edd.fm" and "topic.edd.fm". Nothing. When I insert a note tag FM still inserts the original values.
Did I missunderstand something? Further tips?

How to control rendering logic of static list element defintion?

We are using 10gR4 version of site studio and are working with region templates and element definitions. We created a reporters static lits element definition which contains 3 columns (Name, About, Details) and added that to Reporters region template. Next defined a place holder defintion and associated region defintion and the region template fo reporters. Finally I added that place holder onto a article template. In the contribution mode for article we were able to add reporters rows (static list). BUt in the presentation of article I don't to see any listing of reporters. How could I control the display of static list element defintions from the region template forreporters? I don't see a way I could retrieve the individual rows and columns of static list and display the the results. The detail column of static lits just contatin a link to toher content item which is contributed through other region template. I would like to display the contents of that content items in line in the reporters template by making a wcm-place_holder service call for the embedded content items. How to achieve this?

How can I set the caption text of picture controls inside an array or how can I choose which array element is assigned using the array elements caption text property.

I have 8 picture controls inside an array and I would like to set the caption text of these controls.
I have used the property node of the array and used the array elements property caption text to set the text.
The problem is however that I set the same text to all the picture controls inside the array.
My question is how to set caption text of specific elements (Picture control) that I have so far only been able to access using the array elements caption text property.

Some more help
1 You could use the caption of the array and place it in front of the selected picture and update that using property nodes.
2 Like Norbett said if you use a cluster of pictures then their caption can be updated individually.
