How to edit text of UI elements in sap standard ABAP webdynpro component

Hi All,
I have a requirement wherein I want to change the standard text of mainly LABEL UI in travel and expenses ABAP webdynpro components. As per my knowledge we canu2019t change UI text directly by changing it in layout in enhancement. We have to do it via wdmodify view method and post and pre exits methods.
Can you please help me with the steps that I have to follow and code?

Create a Pre Exit method for WDDOMODIFY method of the view , and in that method code somthing like this.
lo_button TYPE REF TO cl_wd_button.
lo_button ?= view->get_element( 'ID of button' ).
lo_button->set_text('New Text').

I am working with Flash PRO CC v. 14.0. to convert my Flash website to HTML5 / javascript
I have converted a file to the HTML5 Canvas
I am very happy that the new Flash Pro has the feature to convert to HTML5 canvas
HOWEVER:
In my original .FLA file project I use only one font: Copperplate Bold. I use several sizes of that font within the project / scene
In the original file for all text I use static text, Letter spacing, AntiAlias, AutoKern and single line (Linetype)
- none of which the HTML5 canvas seem to allow / support?
How do I maintain the FONT look that I have chosen in my original FLASH project, after I convert to HTML5 canvas?
Is there a way in the HTML canvas to maintain the FONT look that I want?

The device font destroys the LOOK of my Copperplate Bold font.

WARNINGS generated when I convert the original file into an HTML Canvas:
Warnings generated while copying/importing in 140827a HTML test.fla:
* AntiAlias is not supported in HTML5 Canvas document, and has been converted to DeviceFonts in an instance of Text.
* AutoKern is not supported in HTML5 Canvas document, and has been removed in an instance of Text.
* Frame Scripts have been commented
* LetterSpacing is not supported in HTML5 Canvas document, and has been converted to 0.0 in an instance of Text.
* LineType is not supported in HTML5 Canvas document, and has been converted to MultiLineNoWrap in an instance of Text.
* Some artwork contains Hairline stroke, which is not supported in HTML5 Canvas document, and has been converted to Solid.
* StaticText is not supported in HTML5 Canvas document, and has been converted to DynamicText in an instance of Text.
New HTML Canvas Document created.
NOTE: So far the only way I have been able to maintain the font look is to convert the fonts to .png files
This is painstaking work that I would like to avoid.
Even then I still get a WARNING when I test my scene - (no doubt because I left the original FONT text in guide layers)

Filters are very expensive and are not updated once applied. Cache as bitmap is automatically enabled when a filter is applied. This can prevent animations from updating. (2)
Content with both Bitmaps and Buttons may generate local security errors in some browsers if run from the local file system.

How to edit text in the yellow text box of a URL-link?

My current challenge is the following:
- I´ve made a marked text a hyperlink. But when I rollover it, a yellow text box appears and shows the entire URL.
Now, I want it to show a custom edit text.
example:
the link is: www.domainpage.com/home/subfolder/page1234/sweet.html.
the yellow text box SHOULD SAY (example):
"Sweet" tattoo
How do I rename the text in the yellow box?

If you can't change the necessary text box to reflect the title you want you can add the title via an HTML snippet and the following code:

I was going to comment yesterday and did not. I think I will chime in anyway for what it is worth. As Claudio mentioned, editing PDFs is not really recommended. If you have downloaded a government form, there may be some implications if you actually tried to change the form (to make it look better) and it could be rejected. I remember some time back I has a passport or visa form I think where the size of the field entry was rediculous. I lived with it and the limitations.
The form was also restricted from editing, that would have made it a bit more difficult and might have invalidated any submission. I do not know if there are any legal implications of making such changes, but there may be some aspects of the form not being accepted if you try to change it.
If you are talking about no fields available, you might want to recheck the source of the form to see if they have one with fields included (the IRS used to have forms with and without fields). If the form allows adding fields and that is the issue, then simply select the TOOLS>Advanced editing and use the form tools you need. If the form is locked, it is probably best to print the form and start using a pen.
Another option in the latter case is to print the form and then fill is in using a word processor, playing around with the placement of the text until the two line up. Then you just print the form and then reprint the text on top of it. That used to be the method folks used.

How to edit text box in Acrobat XI, created by prior versions of Acrobat

Hi, I'm having a difficult time trying to figure out how to edit a text box that was created in an older verison of Acrobat and used to fill out a form.
In my case, I've added text boxes over pre-existing text using an older version of Acrobat.
When I try to click on the text box, however, it seems to pick up on the pre-existing text and not allow me to edit the text box that I created in the past.

Try to edit the text with the 'Add Text Comment' tool which resides in Comment pane. The text used to fill the form may have been written as annotation, hence when you are trying to edit those with editing tools, original text is being edited.

Editing text in photoshop elements

I would like to edit text in a band promo poster created in photoshop. When I open the file in photoshop elements, all I see is the main photograph of our band, I can't find the text. Any suggestions on where to look ? All I want to do is change our gig date and location information. Thanks, Tom R.

Thanks for the message. I followed up with the company who sent the file. They used photo shop to dress up our band picture, the rest of the poster (text, etc.) was done using In Design. I didn't know this. What I received was just the photo shop portion, so only one layer with picture. I need to get a trial version of In Design to see if I can figure out a work flow. However, I cannot seem to edit text within the PDF. If I try to export to Word, the resulting doc looks completely different, not to mention its missing the graphics.
All I wish to do is change some basic text in the PDF... just change a "9" to an "8".

You can not edit the content within Pdf file by using Export Pdf But with the Acrobat.

How to edit text in MS Word HEADER using bookmarks?

I've been using the ActiveX calls to edit text in Word docs for a while. I assumed there was no trick to doing it in the header of a Word doc, but there seems to be no way to get into the header via LabView ActiveX calls.
Regretably, Word also makes this tricky. I found these VBA hints:
Bookmark, Go to Bookmark:
(This method does not work with bookmarks in Headers/Footers)

I have been using the first one and I was hoping one of the last three would be simple to implement, but there does not seem to be a way to do any of them via LabView.
I do not have the reports tool kit, but I have seen nothing to indicate that it is possble with that either.
So, is it possible to edit the headed of a MS Word doc?

I'm also not happy about word and LabVIEW and I hope that there will be much more improvement with the open document format... right know I have to use a word document template .
However, here is a code I use to fill bookmarks even in the header. I found that somehow the bookmark vanish after manipulation and you have to add it again.

How to edit text in a PDF on an iPad

Away from my iMac, I am trying to edit text on a contract PDF on my iPad. Have not been able to do so in any app I've found. Any suggestions?

PDFs are not meant to be edited (except minor edits such as adding a word or changing spelling).
Adding paragraphs and such is not accomplished very easily, even with Adobe Acrobat Pro.
If you want to change something, change the original docuemnt then print it to PDF.

If the Created boxes are side by side, use Tab or paragraph format (right aligned). If the second box is at the bottom of the main window use new-line command and create a text element and all the same using print program

Useful function modules are:
RS_PRINT_SELECTIONS
RS_LIST_SELECTION_TABLE (Generates list according to values in selection table(RSPARAMS))
RS_REFRESH_FROM_SELECTOPTIONS (Current contents of selection screen)
Function module RS_REFRESH_FROM_SELECTOPTIONS can provide the input for function module RS_LIST_SELECTION_TABLE.

How to call a RFC of a remote system from an ABAP webdynpro component

I am a newbie in ABAP Webdynpro.
I am working on a requirement where I have a webdynpro component on ECC system.I need to call a RFC located on CRM system from my webdynpro component on the ECC system.
How do I do that ?? Please help.

Calling RFC from some other system is same as local except the difference is that you have to give destination name while calling.
And the regarding the method of calling it depends on your FM.
if it is big RFC with complex structure, you can create the service call for it with destination given as RFC desitination.
if it is simple straight forward RFC you can directly call it.
for creating RFC service call call use this method
1. Starting the Wizard
To start the wizard, position the cursor on the Web Dynpro component to be edited in the object list at the left margin of the
workbench window. Open its context menu and choose the entry Create->Service Call. The wizard is started and leads you
through the creation process.
Press Continue.
2. Choice of Controller
On the second dialog window of the wizard, you can choose whether the service call is to be embedded in an existing
controller or whether a new controller is to be created for this purpose. Service calls can only always be embedded in
global controllers u2013 that is, in the component controller or in additionally created custom controllers. It is not possible, to
embed service calls in view controllers.
a. Select radio button Use Existent Controller
b. Do not change the default entry for component: <CC name>
c. Enter for controller COMPONENTCONTROLLER
d. Press Continue.
3. Service Type and Service Selection
a. You now select, which service type should be used for this service call. Select radio button Function Module. Fill the
destination here. Press Continue.
b. Select the service: for Function Module enter <RFC name>. Press Continue.
4. The Required Methods and Context Elements
On the two subsequent dialog windows, default values are listed for giving names to the context nodes and attributes
required by the service call as well as to the required methods. The proposed names are based on the names of the
embedded service, but you can change them as required. However, heed the respective notes in the corresponding dialog
box.
a. Adapt Context: Select from Nodes/Attributes . Press Continue.
b. Specify Method Name: leave all entries as provided: Component: Controller: COMPONENTCONTROLLER Method: EXCUTE_ Press Continue.
5. Completing the Choice
When you have confirmed the last dialog box, the generation is triggered. Afterwards you now have the required methods
and contexts at your disposal for using them within your Web Dynpro component.

How to find the ABAP Webdynpro Component Name in the Portal IView(WDA)

I got one ABAP Webdynpro IView in portal , when i opened the Iview i got the Application name of ABAP Webdynpro in the properties of the Iview but i could not able to find the component name .
Please let me know how to find the component name of WDA , as i already got the Application name of component from Iview i.e WDA_ED_RDF ( this is applicaiton name found in the portal Iview for ABAP Webdynpro)

Right Click on any UI Element in Portal->Go to more field help->TEchical Information. You can see all the information about component, application, ui elements etc.
