How to dump the heap in caps 5.1.2

i'v send "kill -e processid" on linux and using "sendsignal.exe processid" on windows xp,but the server don't has any response.
i've commented the "Xrs" option.
anyone can tell me why and how?

Current version of ACS system is 5.1.0.44
Primary ACS is also working as log collector.
I have downloaded the patch 5.1.0.44.6.rar.rar, so i belive i should rename it to 5.1.0.44.6.tar.gpg.
so if i want to upgrade my ACS system:
I will have to do following steps:
de-register secondary ACS from primary and take the backup of secondary ACS
update the patch using repository.
finally i will have to upgrade the primary ACS.
I would like to know what is the difference between installing / updating  patch and  Upgrade the ADE-OS version which is shown as second step in cisco.com site.

  • How to set the heap size in adminstrative console

    Hi All,
    Please let me know how to increase heap size in weblogic Adminstrative console.
    Regards
    Madhu

    The answer to this depends on whether you're trying to set the heap size for a manager server which is managed by NodeManager, or the admin server.
    First click on "Lock and Edit".
    If the former, go into "Environment"->"Servers", then click on the server you want to configure. This should start you on the "Configuration"->"General" tab. Now click on the "Server Start" tab. Find the "Arguments" field. Assuming this is blank, put something like the following in the field value:
    -Xmx1536m
    Then click "Save", then "Activate Changes". When you restart the managed server the next time, it should use those new settings.
    If, however, you're trying to set this on the admin server, you can't do this in the admin console at all. In that case, go into $DOMAIN_HOME/bin and edit the "setDomainEnv.{sh,cmd}" script (".sh" if on Unix/Linux, ".cmd" on Windows). Find the line that sets the "MEM_ARGS" variable, like the following on Windows:
    set MEM_ARGS=-Xms256m -Xmx512m
    Change this line to whatever you want, then restart the admin server.

  • How to dump the complete MainDocument to a CLOB field?

    Hi all,
    is it possible to dump the complete MainDocument to a CLOB field?
    That is, starting from <?xml version=1.0> to the last closing tag?
    I have thought of two possibilities here, but I am unsure how I can actually implement them:
    1. Use a JDBC receiver to make an "INSERT INTO myTable myCLOB <MainDocument>".
    2. Tell the message mapping to simply dump the whole source message that was passed to the Integration Engine into this CLOB field.
    I am currently favoring option 2, but I have no idea yet how you can access the source message from inside the message mapping. I guess there is a system object that holds it... can you help me there?
    Thanks and cheers!
    Stefan

    Stefan
    1 . Receiver JDBC adapter expects data for the INSERT to be of a particular format.
    <root>
      <StatementName>
    <dbTableName action= “INSERT”>
        <table>realDbTableName</table>
    <access>
    <col1>xml payload from Source</col1>
    </access>
    </dbTableName>
    </StatementName>
    </root>
    Write a java or XSL mapping that will create an output of this format where the entire XML paykload is copied between COL1 . You will have to rename the fieldnames according to your table strcuture.

    Regards,
    Niranjan.D

    Locate opmn.xml on your instance. In file locate section relevant for container you use (i.e. "home"). In next line you can see tags where startup parameters are set. You should add following parameters (this will set heap size on 512Mb)
    -Xms512m -Xmx512m
    For detailed explanation I would recommend you to check following link:
    http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25221_03/web.1013/b14431/troublesht.htm

  • How to increase the Heap space of Jdeveloper for about more than 512 MB?

    When starting JDeveloper, the application within JDeveloper is throwing the error message:
    "could not reserve enough space for object heap"
    and a windows popup with the following error message:
    "Unable to create an instance of the Java Virtual Machine Located at path: ..\..\jdk\jre\bin\client\jvm.dll "
    To resolve these issues, i know that adding the following in ide.conf , jdev.conf will help.
    AddVMOption -XX:MaxPermSize=512M
    AddVMOption -Xmx512M
    AddVMOption -Xms512M
    I have got 10 GB of RAM in my desktop machine and virtual memory of 15 GB (page size). I am not able to increse the heap space of Jdeveloper for about more than 512MB. This is really frustrating..I had to restart my jdevloper after 3 or 4 deployments.....Has anyone tried success in increasing the heap space in jdeveloper for about 2 GB?
    Regards
    Prasath.C

    Yes, i know that -XX:MaxPermSize has nothing to do with Heap Memory. I Just pasted all my configuration settings to know if some thing or the other has caused the issue.... After hearing few people who increased the heap space to more than 512m , i played with those settings again and figured out few things...Mine is Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4, 64 bit Windows 7 environment, 64 bit Java/ JDK.
    First, i was deceived by one suggestion in forum that, keeping max and min heap memory to same size always will yield in good performance...From that time on wards, i was always increasing both and was never able to move more than 512m..But this time, i kept the min memory as constand and kept on changing the max memory ..
    Jdev.conf
    AddVMOption -XX:MaxPermSize=512M
    AddVMOption -Xmx972M (I was never able to increase more than this size, though i have around 10GB RAM, if not Jdev doesnt startup)
    AddVMOption -Xms512M
    Ide.conf
    AddVMOption -Xmx2048M (here i was able to increase)
    AddVMOption -Xms512M
    But even then, i was not seeing my changed settings at the time of deployment...
    starting weblogic with Java version:
    java version "1.6.0_21"
    Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_21-b51)
    Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 17.0-b17, mixed mode)
    Starting WLS with line:
    C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\JDK160~1\bin\java -client -Xms512m -Xmx512m -XX:MaxPermSize=512m -Dweblogic.Name=DefaultServer ..........
    Then i changed again into
    setDomainEnv.cmd of my default domain
    set USER_MEM_ARGS=-Xms512m -Xmx2048m -XX:MaxPermSize=512m
    Then i stared my deployment...this time i could see a real boost in deployment...and my page was launched in a fraction of minute..
    tarting weblogic with Java version:
    java version "1.6.0_21"
    Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_21-b51)
    Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 17.0-b17, mixed mode)

  • How to increase the heap space size -is there any parameter to pass to JVM

    I created a memory buffering module which can be use to buffer log records and write to hard disk.disk writing is done by a separate thread so the main application won't be delayed. and memory for new errors are allocated dynamically. when i test this it gave this exception Exception in thread "Thread-62" java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space then I test 100,000 of log records at a time and sleep the thread for 1 second to let the garbage collector do its job this works fine. but when i increase the log records count further it gave the above error. so i want to know whether is there a way to give the heap memory size to the VM as a parameter before running it.

    How do I find those heaps and chunks corrupted and how to fix it ?
    Any tips will be very usefull
    Regards

    The only way to "fix" the corrupted memory is to login to MetaLink, use the ORA-600 lookup tool to see if there is any info on the particular ORA-600 you encountered. If so, find out if there is a patch or workaround available. If the lookup tool doesn't turn up anything, open an SR and work with Oracle support for resolution.
    As far as the corruption that has already occurred, well, if it's only in memory (which is the most likely case) then there's really nothing you can do to fix it. If it caused on-disk corruption, then you'll need to restore/recover from a recent backup.
    Hope that helps,

    Hi,
    There is a requirement where the date should be 22-JULY-2008.When i used the date +%d-%B-%y i get the result as 22-July-2008.How can i convert it to
    22-JULY-2008.I tried a lot to get the results in this format but could not succeed.
    Can anyone suggest ?

    I am totally confused
    1) This is a forum discussing problems with downloads of Oracle products
    2) This seems to be a question about Solaris shells or some Oracle product running in Solaris shell
    If it truly is about the Solaris command 'date' ... Sun spends much money creating and maintining manuals and pages in manuals. You might get an adequate answer from http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/816-0210/6m6nb7m46?a=expand (scroll down and click on the 'date' link)

    Managed to find the anatomy of choice command in batch file to introduce delay:
    Choice command in DOS is used to select menu items.
    Here you can use with below syntax in OS command before processing in second interface, sender file adapter
    choice /C:a /D:a /T:2>nul
    Where 2 is the delay in seconds and keep rest as them.
    I tested on windows XP on dos command.
