How to Edit a custom HCM form directly after Employee selection?

Hi All,
As per the requirement, the Manager should have a tab in Portal called "Forms and Processess"  and on click of that he should see a Page with few hyperlinks . Each hyperlink is the name of a HCM Form.
So,  the Manager will click on one of them to start a particular form. ex. One time payment
After clicking, he should have the Employee search result having Direct reports under STEP "Select Employees".. But the next STEP has to be "Edit" instead of "Select Process" and the Form "One time payment" should directly Open for him to work on.
Please help me providing the relevant information and the approach. Let me know if you need any additional information.

we do have selection of employees or search and you can choose a form?
If you want to change it, then only option is WD ABAP Iviews custom
But i still didnt fathom the need of teh approach above, does the standard doesnt meet the requurement? Please check it

  • Custom HCM form integration with ESS

    Hi,
        Is it possible to integrate a custom HCM form(Accident reporting) with ESS.
    There are 12 services available in the homepage framework for ESS HCM forms. Does this mean that we can only integrate HCM forms related to these services with ESS?

    Thanks Bala, I have created a new service for the custom form. Which iview should i use to display the form.
    I tried the approach of copying the start process iview from HR administrator business package and linking it to the service. The iview is not displaying the form.
    Is this a valid approach or do we have to use webdynpro+adobe forms for ESS since there is no start process iview in ESS?

  • Custom Workflow for custom HCM form - reg

    Hi,
    We have a custom form designed and having a workflow for that. We have developed the workflow like any other workflow for appraisals for example or in SD. But here while test run of process we are getting error saying 'Work Item not found' though the work item is present in SWI1.
    We have below steps.

    Importing form container
    User Desicion (Approve/Reject)
    If approved update database.
    Can any one correct me if am wrong.

    I was going to comment yesterday and did not. I think I will chime in anyway for what it is worth. As Claudio mentioned, editing PDFs is not really recommended. If you have downloaded a government form, there may be some implications if you actually tried to change the form (to make it look better) and it could be rejected. I remember some time back I has a passport or visa form I think where the size of the field entry was rediculous. I lived with it and the limitations.
    The form was also restricted from editing, that would have made it a bit more difficult and might have invalidated any submission. I do not know if there are any legal implications of making such changes, but there may be some aspects of the form not being accepted if you try to change it.
    If you are talking about no fields available, you might want to recheck the source of the form to see if they have one with fields included (the IRS used to have forms with and without fields). If the form allows adding fields and that is the issue, then simply select the TOOLS>Advanced editing and use the form tools you need. If the form is locked, it is probably best to print the form and start using a pen.
    Another option in the latter case is to print the form and then fill is in using a word processor, playing around with the placement of the text until the two line up. Then you just print the form and then reprint the text on top of it. That used to be the method folks used.

  • How to link a custom ADF form to BPM workflow

    Hope you are doing well.
    I've a basic knowledge on BPM, but had to start off with a project.
    My scenario is as below.
    1. User A clicks on a task in his BPM Worklist which should trigger an email to the same guy with a link in it (which is an ADF form to create a new row in a db with some values)
    2. Now, A clicks on the link send to him on Email, which opens up an ADF form where he provides all the details, along with the reviewer name(say, B, typically his manager, but he has to provide it, not derived automatically using getManger()) and submit.
    3. Now, this action should trigger an Email to the reviewer that he has provided in the form(step 2) where he can either approve or reject, with comments.
    4. Once B approves, A has to get a notification email saying the row has been created.
    The row that gets created in a db is a WS operation (createProject(with all the details))
    I'm seriously confused in designing this requirement.
    If I start the workflow with a Initiator pattern, just a click on the task should send an email to himself...How can this be done?
    How do we get in the ADF form that is in a seperate prj in to this workflow?
    How do we capture the values from the ADF form in to the BPM workflow?
    Would some one throw some light on how do we capture this scenario

    Hi Tom Daria,
    This should work in SharePoint workflow 2013 task form.
    You can follow the step in the article you provide to custom the task form page, I tested it with the step, it can successfully bind the custom form page to the task content type.
    In the form page approve button event, you can add the logic to redirect to another page. In the workflow, associate the workflow with the custom task content type that will use the custom task form.

  • How do I lock a PDF form field after it has been completed by a user?

    We have a problem with privacy on our downloadable Pdf Forms for customers, they are required to complete personal details within the Pdf Form Fields and then must be processed by our account team.
    But we would require customer completed forms to be disabled from any third party or employee tampering with the entered details.
    Once the data has been input into the form provided online and saved and sent-on it needs to be read ONLY from then on!

    It depends how secure they need to be. You could include a script in the form which sets the fields to be read-only when the form is submitted, but that can easily be bypassed (and may not be respected by third party PDF applications). Search this forum topic for examples, it's been asked many times before.
    If you have Acrobat you can flatten a form, turning the fields into regular page content, but that's not possible in Adobe Reader X. While the flattened page can no longer be edited in Reader, it can still be edited in Acrobat via the touchup tools, so for complete security you would need to apply encryption to the flattened PDF (via a certifying signature or DRM).

  • How to Hide buttons in HCM forms

    Hi Experts,
    In "Transfer" forms, with out filling mandatory fields if I press button "Check and Send" then I get a extra button called "Continue". When I click on "Continue" it takes me to the next page without asking me to fill mandatory fields. Here I want to hide that "Continue" button.
    Like wise in "End of Probation & Short Term Contract" forms, with out filling the mandatory fields if I press button "Check and Send" then I get a extra button called "Forward to Expert". In my case I want  to hide "Forward to Expert" button also.
    Please help me to fix these issues.

    You do not need to add this field to your list. In the view V_T588MFPROPS (SAP delivered), this field is set as mandatory. In configuration, you must maintain the view V_T588MFPROPC (Customer area) and make sure the field is not set to mandatory. This will override the SAP delivered setting and the error message will be not be displayed.

    I am particularly interested in how the PDF form can be used for data collection. The above overview hinted that we could use an Adobe server to deliver our data to us.     I am also interested in ways the PDF forms could be paired with our PDF tech docs. Could we insert a boilerplate form into each of our docs, for instance? Could we point our readers to a form that resides elsewhere on our website? Could the form be made to appear when the reader closes or navigates away from the tech doc?

  • How do I stop custom MD form button refresh?

    I've added a custom button to my master-detail form. It invokes a JavaScript function that calculates the totals of the columns of textboxes on the screen. But when the button is clicked, it refreshes the screen. This means that it loses all the totals when the screen finishes refreshing.
    I found that the button automatically adds doEvent() to the end of the JavaScript, causing the refresh. How do I stop it from doing this???

  • How to edit text in a form edited in LCD / Acrobat 9?

    So I have a few minor edits to a form that was created in LCD 9 and Acrobat Pro 9.  Apparently this seemingly simple task is now impossible with the latest versions.  When I try to edit it in Acrobat XI I get the message "This form cannot be edited in Acrobat" but I have no way to edit the text in LCD.
    Are users of forms from release 9 really stranded?

    I may still have a version of AA9 available to play with. If so, I will try to check things out and see if there are alternatives. Of course, you could recreate the form in Acrobat XI (that is where printing to a new PDF or extracting the info would be useful). You could also try Forms Central that is part of XI. It may be that Forms Central can deal with a LCD form, never tried it (but I tend to doubt it). If you did not use any of the fancy features of LCD forms, you might be better off just transferring it to AcroForms in XI.
    OK, I opened an AcroForms file in Designer for AA9 and saved. I then opened the file in AA9 and was surprised that I would edit the text of the form. When I went to edit the form fields it took me to Designer as would be expected. I played around in Designer a bit and could not find a way to edit the text, but the text could be edited in AA9. I think this is what you had described.
    I then opened the LCD form in AA XI and found the same result that you did. I was not able to edit either the text or the forms. However, I was able to export the form with most fields to DOCX. The result was pretty good for the form I was working with (suggesting it had reasonable tagging -- but that may also have been done by Designer, I am not sure). There were a few form fields that did not seem to come out, but most did on the 4 page form. I then used PDF Maker to create a new PDF and the result gave most of the form fields, similar to the docx file. It may be that this conversion process might be the most useful, unless you possibly have a form with dynamic fields that is unique in Designer.
    Hope that at least clarifies a few things for all of us and gives you some ideas. You might find additional input from the folks in the forms sub-forum.

    Yes, there are a number of things you can do. With JavaScript, you can show/hide fields, set fields to read-only, set the focus to a field (thus bypassing sections or pages), etc. So you can implement a type of skip logic, it's just not as easy to set up as with a form created in FormsCentral. Still, there are techniques you can use to simplify things, particularly using heirarchical field names which makes it easier to control a group a fields.

    Based on the selected item on the dropdown, the background changes and certain fields are activated. There are only two fields associated with a particular selection, but it could be as many as you want on as many pages as you want. You can implement a multisection form using a single PDF page this way.

    Ignore the red slider if it appears.
    This will reboot the phone, no data should be lost.
