How to embed PDF document to a view in WDJ?

Hi， experts，
I have a PDF document for helping user to use a software product. I want to embed it to a view through interactiveform in web dynpro for java so that other users may read the PDF document. I don't how to implement it?
Do you give me some hint?

One quick question, where have you stored the PDF? is it in MIMEs folder ?
You have 1 of these 2 options to choose:
1. Get the PDF data in Byte format, fetch the absolute URL and display it in an iFrame UI Element.
2. Set the property of Adobe Interactive form UI elemets property -
mode = usePDF Mode (This mode value does not change the original PDF document. The data source and the template for the creation of the PDF document are ignored)
pdfSource = Path to the context element containing the PDF document.

Assuming that you can open one of the "documents online" in Safari (or other web browser) on your iPad/iPhone,
Tap the PDF document that is displayed in your web browser. This makes the toolbar appear.
Tap "Open in..." in the top toolbar.
Select "Open in Adobe Reader" to open it in Adobe Reader for iOS.

you will have to concatinate your report output with the static PDF document. in reprots 10g you can create a cusotm destination that could implement this functionality.
out of the box, reports does not provide the ability to add static content in PDF to reports' generated PDF output.

How to embed JavaScript in a DynPro View?

I hava a standard DynPro application.
I would like to add a link UI which by pressing it will activate a JavaScript function. Can someone please show me how to do it and ingeneral how to embed JavaScpript in a DynPro View?

This (protocol javascript:) probably works in current releases but in future releases it will be disabled by default for security reasons.
The set of allowed URL protocols will then be configurable in the J2EE server.

Any updates to the OP's question? I'm with a large government agency, and we're moving away from GoodReader for reasons I can't go into here, and the ability to add user-defined bookmarks within the app is a mandatory feature for the document reader we select. I have the latest version of Adobe Reader (11.6.1) installed on my government iPad, and the ability to add user-defined bookmarks still seems to be missing. Does Adobe have any plans to add this feature, or is it already present and I'm simply overlooking it?

Have you tried FOXIT? I think there is a trialversion. I tried Adobereader 2.5 but there is still no option to print.

How to embed pdf in a doc

I am trying to develop a training document that shows colleagues how to read a particular report. I was wondering if there is a way to take a snapshot of the report and embed it in a standard word processing document. It is in a pdf format and the word processing doc that I am using is the Mac version of Word. I have an OSX iMac 10.8.5 Version.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You may also want to consider doing your whole training document as a PDF document, as opposed to a Word document. A PDF document can viewed more readily on different devices than a Word document, and it has the advantage of having a stable viewing format on all platforms, i.e., page breaks and margins will be viewed the same way. PDF is an acronym for Portable Document Format, as the name implies, it has those advantages. That's why people use it on the web instead of a particular word processing document.

I have created a button on my PDF document to open another PDF file in a new window. I want to sent this PDF to my client who will then mass email it out. My problem is that I want to embed the second file so it goes where ever the parent PDF goes and will open without file location errors, and not rely on both files being sent.
I have read somewhere that this happens automatically if you attached a sound or movie clip??

I have also tried packaging files together, but it still seems to look of the external second file.

Reader XI & IE10 - how to force PDF's to be viewed in READER?

I have NO Adobe add-on installed in IE10. Updgraded from Reader 8.1 to Reader XI. Under Reader 8.1 there was an option in settings to force PDF's to be opened in READER instead of IE. Cannot find that option. Went to Settings / Manage-Add-ons to disable Adobe PDF there, but it's not installed, so can't disable it.
Any ideas on how to force PDF's to be opened in READER instead of IE10?

I do not quite understand your initial comment. You write that you do not have the Adobe Reader add-on installed on IE10, yet PDFs open in IE?

Here am trying to set the PDF document initial view by the Acrobat SDK with C#.
Here I am show my screen shot which properties I want to set.

Because it won’t work I do’t known, and there is no clear samples in the SDK reference document.
So please give advice and clear sample code/syntax to meet above needs which are marked in red box.

How to creat pdf documents with printing restrictions in Aperture

Hi,
I wondered if it is possible to create a pdf document made up of 9-12 image per page contact sheets, to send to clients that restricts the client to open and view only i.e no printing allowed.
Photoshop allows this, however i would like to create /correct versions in aperture and then create a pdf [with the above printing restrictions applied, simply to save time.
the way i work in photoshop is to export approx a 500 to 1000 jpegs [ per client] in aperture to a folder which I then open with Bridge- create the contact sheets and then create the pdf document with printing restrictions applied.
is there any way for me to make this simpler, especially just using Aperture?

just been reading about terminal on another thread.... Spinning beach ball,,[page 2 of Aperture discussions].Apparently there is a command line explained there that can help speed up Aperture. I tried it but Had a problem when trying to type in my Password... It would not let me type anything....So I canceled the proceedure. [ knowing my luck I would cause some irrepairable damage to the machine].
Think I need to do a lot of reading up to get up to scratch with folk using this discussion Board!!!
With regards to the pdfauxinfo- is it complicated to get running, or does it run straiaght away in automator?
