%n is always enabled for scanf. You don't need to do anything special, just go ahead and use it.

Did you open Automator and just look around?
Actions are listed in the left pane.
You drag them into the workflow on the right in the order you need to process the items that you want.
If this is a on-off requirement, just make a Workflow. If you plan to use it often, make it an Application.
If you want to select the contacts you want to export, use a get Selected action. You'd then select the contacts in Contacts App before running the workflow.
I'm not on a Mac to take screenshots, so you'll have to look at Automator's help or google for more info.

After you enable

Format specifiers for spreadsheet to string

I have used the format specifiers many times before with no problems but this one has stumped me. I scan a delimited spreadsheet string and convert it to string array. I then write to a string table. I would like the format to be X.XXE+N. I have tried several of the examples to no avail. One would think that %.2e should do the trick, I sure can't make her work. All previous posts regarding format specifiers make sense to me, but do not seem to apply to this. Does the "spreadsheet to string" act differently than other conversions? Thanks for any help!
I have included my prototyping trials. (LV7.1 on XP)

That is not really what I wanted to hear though, that I would have to change the way I'm doing it, not just change a specifier. That is going to take at least 1 more function to "wire-up". Sarcasm is so hard to pen!!

It appears that the formatting library does not support int64... ?
I just found the solution: use FmtFile ( file_handle, %d[b8], counts )...

Completely agree once again. This was promised for the spring of this year and we are now in July, I put up a request for this a little while back and mac_helbu asked on this forum why I would want a client breaking a design by giving them the ability to edit and change font styles etc. Clients want and should be able to change formatting on any modern site, this is not the 1990’s.

How do you set a default format property for a formula defined in the AWM?

Is there a way to define a default format property for a formula that I create in the AW?
For example, if I define a formula in AW I can assign it a datatype of decimal. But what property do I need to add if want that formula to by DEFAULT always display a certain way, regardless if I use the Discover Plus with OLAP option or OracleBI Spreadsheet Addin?
Example: want to display it by default, in the AW cube, as being associated to a format of 00.0000 or 00.0000% or $###,##0.00 etc. This way, no mater what tool I use to view the cube, it will by default inherit my default format (set in the AW).

Okay, but if I use the out-of-the-box products Oracle provides (ie: Discover Plus with Olap, and the OracleBI Spreadsheet Addin) I still dont understand what my solution is?
The only other solution we tried was to create formulas using AWM template files. The issue here is trying to find out what property syntax needs to be added to the XML code, so that my formula, by default, is associated to a certain formating style (ie: 00.00). And then when you reference that formula in those out-of-the-box Oracle products, it displays as expected.

How to get iPhone Safari to format text for its screen

My wife loves her iPhone, but there's one thing that's very frustrating: Safari likes to format pages so that only a small portion fits on the screen, and you have to scroll left and right to read the text. If you use a "pinch" to shrink the window, the font size also shrinks so that the text becomes unreadable.
I've tested this with a few very simple HTML pages that I've created, just text with a few andtags, and nothing with a width= or size= attribute. We still have the same problem. Safari doesn't seem to want to wrap the text at all; it either displays a page at a tiny font or in a readable font with most of the text off the screen.
I've also tested these pages with assorted other browsers, including Safari and the other dozen browsers I've installed on this Macbook Pro. All of them automatically wrap the text to fit whatever size window I use, including some very tiny windows. Also, the browser on my G1 "google" phone handles the pages just fine, using my default font and reformatting automatically when I rotate the phone to landscape format so that the text fits within the window.
The only browser I've seen this problem with is on the iPhone. found the Settings screen, looked through the Safari settings and didn't see anything relevant.
Any ideas what's wrong here? Or is the iPhone's Safari just flakey for simple text?

The pinching gesture is used to zoom in and out on a page. It's not resizing the window.
OK; I obviously don't know the right jargon. That's why I posted on a general discussion "support" forum rather than looking for a more technical one; I was hoping that my incorrect n00b terminology could be tolerated enough for people to try to understand the problem and point at some clues.
To try to explain it in different (and probably still not correct) terminology, Safari on the iPhone acts like it's formatting the text of even my simple HTML text pages for a large physical "page", and giving me a choice of how I want to view it. I can zoom out and see the whole piece of text, but the font is so tiny that it's unreadable (even with a magnifying glass . Or I can zoom in, in which case the screen becomes a small window that shows only a small portion of the text, and I have to pan left and right to read it, because the "page" width is now several times the screen width. Both choices make for slow, difficult reading.
I don't see this behavior in any other of the couple dozen browsers on 4 or 5 machines. What they do is respond to a change in the "window" size by reformatting the text so it fits within the window's width, scrolling off the bottom if there's too much text. This is easy to read, because vertical scrolling works well on all of them, and there's no need to pan left and right while reading a line of text.
This was pretty much how HTML and browsers were originally intended to work, with the browser doing line wrapping as needed to fit the available screen width. The screen as a window into a much larger page is seen much less often. When it is seen, it's mostly because the web designers included lots of "width=" attributes to force the page to be some minimum width, typically much wider that any smartphone's screen. But my test pages don't do this, and all other browsers successfully format them to be readable even in very narrow windows. Our iPhone's Safari doesn't seem to do this formatting; it formats the text for a width wider than the screen even when there's no formatting information in the HTML.
The obvious question is: Can the iPhone's Safari be persuaded to use more common scheme of doing line-wrapping to make the text fit into the visible screen?
The G1's browser has an especially impressive demo of how it could be done. If I rotate that gadget, it reformats between portrait and landscape mode on the fly, and the text is always line-wrapped to fit the current screen width. So a paragraph that takes, say, 7 lines in portrait mode will switch to 4 lines as I rotate it to landscape mode, with the same font size. The iPhone has the same sort of switching, of course, but it "reformats" the text by changing the zoom factor, which isn't nearly the same thing. And for some of my test pages, the text runs off the right margin in both portrait and landscape mode. I have no clue why it chooses a "page" width that's so much wider than the screen, sometimes 4 or 5 times the screen width, but that's what it does, and it's very hard to read.
So is there a way to tell it to stop doing this, and use line wrapping like other browsers do to fit the text into the visible screen width?

After a little experimenting I have DONE IT !!!
In the folder "Program Files " "Adobe" "Premiere CS6" open the text file called cuda_supported_cards.txt.
Add your card to the list and hopefully it works.
Open a new session of Premiere, Goto "Project Settings" "General" and under Video Rendering and Playback "Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration" should show as active.
Now I am going to tackle After Effects.

How to enable a printer which was offline for long time?

Hi,
One of our printers has not been used for a long time and was set to be permanently offline. Due to the need of printing, the printer was enabled. It is powered on (and can also be disabled and enabled) but is unable to print.
Is there anything in SAP to check to see why it is failing to print?
I have tried to check the status of this printer with other printer which is working fine. There is no difference in between their settings.
The spool requests are waiting to be printed. I would like to check the ip addresses of the printers. Is it possible to find them through SAP. My O/S is Unix.
Please help me to find the IP addresses of printers attached through SAP and I will try to check them first.

Hi Vijay,
Check SPAD -> output devices
Check thats the printer is properly setup and it been handled by and active spool server, check that the printer ip-address is correct and the right method is in place.
You can find the ip address of the printer by doing a ping <name of the printer> in a command prompt.

Yes, two phase commit is enabled.
No, depending on what you want, automatically updating records from one server to other servers is likely a very bad idea, as Oracle has documented facilities for that.
You have amongst others
- Materialized views
- Oracle Streams
Those solutions definitely scale much better as your approach, as they are asynchronous. In your approach the master server will slow down as a result of updating slaves.
In distributed databases 'push' approaches are to be avoided and 'pull' approaches to be preferred. Which is exactly what materialized views and Streams do.

I have to download pfd, instead of waiting the user for complete download of the page, first I need to display first page, and then in the background I have to download the rest of the document. Which is byte serving. I try to implement byte serving (fast web view for pdf) for pdf files in Tomcat 5.x it is not working. The same functionality is working in other servers.
I have not done any coding to use byte serving in the other servers, simply I enable byte serving for pdf using the adobe.
