How to Enable Payment Terms in the Advanced Preferences?

Hi,
We are working on JDE E1 8.12 release, We have a problem that sales order preferences setup is not giving the required result. In the setup we linked Item Group (SRP1) and Customer with payment term. Output of this setup is have different payment terms in SO details (F4211). Right now system is taking same SO header (F4201) payment term. I checked all the setup is okay....can anyone help me to solve this problem.
I've done the following :
- Activate the advanced preference schedule ADVPREF in constants
- Set up the advanced preference definition DETAILS with a preference hierarchy of PH and type of advanced preference 02
- Set up the detail for an Item Group and Customer
- Activate preference profiling in P4210 on Preferences tab.
I had a issue - missing data columns with P4072 (Advanced Preferences Detail Revisions). I already could add a preference line via P40711 (Preference Values Maintenance) and I could add values, payment terms, but still is not giving the required result
Thanks & Regards

Hi
There are as many options for that
You can go for
1)MASS t code
2) LSMW  (by recording)
3)BDC (by recording)
and the most easiest way is by doing the MASS tcode
goto MASS and enter the object type as BUS2032
execute now select the sales order haeader data and execute and now enter the sales doc from and to range and execute now all the sales dox will be displayed
and from the menu click on select fields  and select the terms of payment
now select the terms of payment row and enter the new values  and click on carry out new changes

  • Payment Terms in Vendor Advance payment & automatic set off aganist invoice

    Dear Team,
As on 01.08.2014 there is advance payment made to vendor is Rs.10000 and the payment terms in vendor master 30 days and as on 16.08.2014 the vendor invoice has been raised for Rs.15000/- and the payment terms is same 30 days. According to the payment terms in the vendor invoice the net due date is calculated as 15.09.2014. Since already the advance payment is rs.10000 then how we can tel the system to consider this also and then calcuate net due date for the invoice raised as on 16.08.2014. Please suggest.
We suggested client to enter manually 0000 payment terms at the time of invoice. But they are not convinced.
Kindly check & do the needful
    Regards,
    Babu.

    Hi Babu,
You have to clear the advance through F-54 and here you have to provide the invoice doc.no. under the relevant invoice-invoice. Then system will consider net due date of invoice for advance also.  I have attached screen shot for your reference.

  • Wrong Payment term in the Invoice

We have a problem with one of the vendor Invoice creation. We are getting wrong payment term in the Invoice.
We have payment term A in the vendor master both company code and Purchasing Org. We have the same payment term A in Purchase order and Contract.
But when we create invoice using MIRO for the PO we are getting Payment term B. This is happening for only one vendor.
We know that it can be corrected at the financial document level but want to know how this payment term B is pulled up from cause i checked all the options but nowhere to find from where it is coming.

    Hi Aparna,
    Check the following:
In MIRO, if you use PO reference to create the IV document, terms of payment will not get copied from vendor master, the terms of
payment will come from the PO.(if you have the invoice entered without reference to the PO, then the terms of payment are copied from vendor.)
So when you change the the invoice party in MIRO, new payment terms will not get copied from vendor master, they will come from the PO.
Please review SAP Note 322430 MIRO: Proposal logic for terms of payment Payment terms are only adopted from the vendor master record Without reference to purchase order
You enter an invoice without purchase order reference by adding a G/L account line or material line as a first item. If the terms
of payment key does not contain any value, this is copied from the accounting view of the vendor master record.
    Thanks

  • How to create payment terms in AP Supplier Interface

    Hi Folks.
May I know How to create payment terms(for ex:45 days) through AP Supplier Interface.
Kindly suggest me the exact column name in interface.
    Regards,
    Raj

    Hi Raj,
To populate the terms information, you use the ap_invoices_interface.terms_name or ap_invoices_interface.terms_id fields. This assumes that the terms themselves are already created.
Currently there is no functionality to add new terms through the supplier interface.

  • How to Create payment term for -Net Due 1st Day of Second Month Following

    Hi,
We need to add a payment term for "Net Due 1st Day of Second Month Following Delivery". We need this to be in the system as soon as possible as we just were told of a change in terms for our client effective May 1st.
Kindly advice me how to select the dates in OBB8?
    Thanks
    Supriya

    Hi Supriya,
In OBB8, create a new payment term with the following settings -
Default for baseline date = No default
    Payment terms/Term 1/Fixed date = 1
    Payment terms/Term 1/Additional months = 2
This payment term will ask you for a baseline date on document entry. You can give the delivery date as the baseline date. If required, this date can be changed after posting the document also.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to pull payment terms attached to customer, Invoice, Agreement

    Hi All,
Could you please help me how to pull the payment terms attached to a particular Invoice, customer and agreement.
    Thanks for your help,
    Prathima

How do make the sales order pull from the Sold-Tos record instead of the Payer's record.
As you already indicated system copy the payment terms from the customer master payer, next priority is SP.
in the sales order manually you can change it to SP payment term.
or one more thing you may consider that if you want all the time determine the payment term from the SP then don't maintain the payment term in Payer customer.
We have 2 Sold-Tos with the same Payer.  The Payer gets a discount with will apply to both Sold-tos since the payment terms are getting pulled from the Payer.  When sales order is created, payment terms get pulled from Payer and both Sold-Tos gets a discount.   But we only want to offer discount to only one of the Sold-Tos but the other sold to doesn't get a discount.
Are you really sure about the above statement? i have never seen in one sales order two Sold to party's, confirm your statement once again.

  • Payment terms to the PA.

    Hi
I need to bring the characteristic : Payment terms to the PA.
How should I do it (step by step please...)

    Hi
The only way to transfer billing document number directly to corresponding CO-PA characteristic is an assignment in table TKEZU.
At the point of the billing documents creation (when the profitability segment gets determined) only structures KOMP/KOMK will be provided by SD; so you need to assign the desired KOMP/KOMK-field to the corresponding CO-PA characteristic in table TKEZU. TKEZU can be maintained with SM30.
In your case in think it will be KOMK-BELNR
Once you get BELNR, then bring ZTERM from TABLE LOOKUP VBRK Table

  • How to search a term in the source code

    Hello ,
How to search a term in the source code. I have selection screen , on which a program name will be given and term to search. How can I proceed to know whether this term is available in the source code of the program
    Thanks and regards,
    Satya

    Hi naga,
    1. one option is to retrive the source code of the requried program,
into internal table using the syntax READ REPORT (just see f1 help on it)
READ REPORT prog INTO itab [MAXIMUM WIDTH INTO wid].
    2. Then we can loop / search the internal table for the required term.

  • How to define payment term - Net due 45 days after month end

Anyone have experience of payment terms such as "Net Due 45 days after Month End"?
I'm trying to define payment terms where the amount is due X days after month end.
Terms such as 10 days after month end are OK because I can set "Months Ahead" = 1 and "Day of Month" = 10
However, I can't exceed a value of 31 in the "Day on Month" field. I could assume that a month is 31 days and therefore set "Months Ahead" =1 and "Day of Month" = 14. However, this won't always be true (depending on the month) and it will impact aging buckets.
Anyone encountered this before? (These payment terms seem to common in France and Denmark)

    Hi Supriya,
In OBB8, create a new payment term with the following settings -
Default for baseline date = No default
    Payment terms/Term 1/Fixed date = 1
    Payment terms/Term 1/Additional months = 2
This payment term will ask you for a baseline date on document entry. You can give the delivery date as the baseline date. If required, this date can be changed after posting the document also.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to default payment term from Site level

    Hi All,
When creating an Order, the payment terms are defaulting from the defined defaulting rules.
As per the defaulting rules, it is supposed to pick as following seq..
    1 Related Record - Invoice To.Payment term
    2 Related Record - Ship To.Payment term
    3 Related Record - Customer.Payment term
    4 Constant Value - TBD
Now, as per the rule, it is picking the Payment term from Invoice to level. If there is none defined then it is picking from the Customer level as we never define at Ship To level.
Now my question, is there any way we can implement to pick the Payment term from the Site level when Invoice To payment term is not defined.
Please let me know if any additional info is required.
    Thanks.

  • Not allowing changes to payment terms after the AR document is released to accounting

    Hi,
Anyone know the best way to not allow a user to change the payment terms after the AR document has been created in AR? This is affecting aging because users are changing the payment terms without permission. What is the best way to control that?
    Thank you.
    AK

    Hi A K
Frequent change in payment terms is something business should introspect. Payment term is decided and agreed upon with customer/vendor during the initial stages.
However from IT perspective, it can be controlled keeping some system controls.
    1. Limit the Customer master change transaction to very limited users or to a manager. There should be internal approvals by management for business to make a change. Bring this into force.
    2. Regularly run the customer master change reports and provide the trend to management to restrict or limit the changes.
    3. Use Change Message control for master data by providing necessary warnings or error messages when master data is changed.
    4. In  the sales order level, there is every possibility to change the payment term. Based on the user authorization get the payment term field greyed out and provide change access to accounting or to a specific user upon approvals. This is a bit complex process but I feel this brings up controls and stops the process from exploitation.
    5. Also activate 'Sensitive fields' KNB1-ZTERM for payment term field in customer master. This brings up another layer of confirmation of change by other users.
    6. Another back route, not recommended in all cases, is to subsititute the required payment term during accounting document posting.
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks,
    Sekhar
