How to encrypt a mail attachment

hi, anyone know a module i could use to encrypt the attachment of a mail that i must send to receiver system?
i must encryt the attach and the mail.
for mail encrypt i'm ussing S-MIME protocol.

I don't think you'll be able to achieve that with just standard modules.
You'll have to develop your own.
And for the encryption part, check Digital Signatures and Encryption API.

How can I read mail attachment for making it to the payload?

Hi everybody,
in the following my scenario:
I have an incoming message with attachment by the mail sender adapter using PayloadSwapBean (because of other messages I have to use the bean). I want to send this attachment by using the mail receiver adapter to fix E-mail-address keeping the FromMailAddress, the MailSubject and the FileName
without the metadata as additional attachment.
I have found a thread where it is explained how to handle "payload as mail attachment and dynamic filename" by java-mapping. So far so good. My question is: How can I make my attachment to be the payload? How can I read the attachment by java-mapping?

internal table and sending it as a Mail but not able to send whole as an attachement Bcoz tht 90 columns
length is more than 255 characters which my OBJBIN not allowed to send so its automatically get truncated ..
How to solve this problem . Please help or sample code for this issue .

How do I print Mail attachment without saving it first

I'm new to Mavericks. With Mail in Lion, I could scroll to the bottom of an email and double click on the icon for the Word doc or pdf attachment to open it, then hit command P to print it. With Mavericks, it appears that I have to first "save" the document somewhere and then open it and print it. Is this correct?
In most cases, this is an extra step that is unnecessary.
Right now, the attachment displays (opened) within the email, but I don't want to print several pages of an email when all I want is to print the attached doc, for instance, an attached invoice. Also, I can't tell what kind of document it is without saving it, which I don't like. I've tried to find a way around this in preferences but no luck.
I guess what I'd really prefer is to go back to the old Lion version of Mail, or something that approximates it more closely. Do I need to just get over it and realize that I'm going to have to save every attachment if I want to print it or is there a workaround of some sort?

Hi tbirdvet. Even though the content of the attachment now displays as part of the email message, I tried clicking on that portion of the email and, sure enough, the "attachment" popped up in Preview, just like you said. (I kept looking for a Word doc icon or a pdf icon to double click on, but they're no longer found at the bottom of the email or selectable from a drop down menu.)

How do I open mail attachment without having to save first

I have an iMac with Maverick 10.9.2 and mail version 7.2. I am trying to switch over from my laptop to using the iMac exclusively. The laptop mail version is 4.6. In that version, when I receive an email with an attachment, there's a little icon of the attachment that I can just click on and open it. In the new version (7.2), there's no little icon. Instead, if i click on the attachment, it just shows a file name and I'm forced to choose to "save as" before I can open it. Is there a way to set up my preferences so i can see the icon and click to open without saving?

Open a message that contains attachments.
Then hover your mouse over that line that separates the body of the message from the "To, From, Subject Line." On that line in the center, you are given a few options. Trash, Reply, Forward, and the attachments. Click on the attachments and down at the bottom of that list. You can select the "Quick Look". With the list, you can click on each attachment directly and given an option to download it.

Two computers, how to encrypt/secure mail on both?

Apologize if this has been answered before. I have two computers: a laptop and a desktop, and I use Apple Mail on both. I would like to send signed/encrypted mail from both. I got myself a Thawte personal certificate and installed it on my desktop machine. So far so good, have had no troubles signing/encrypting mail through Apple Mail on the desktop machine. I now want to do the same for my laptop.
Do I need to get another unique certificate from Thawte or can I somehow copy the certificate on my desktop to my laptop? I wish to use the same gmail account on both machines so I don't think a second unique certificate of the same email address is possible. Anyone do this before with success? Thanks for any help.

You can just download the certificate(s) from the Thawte site again on your laptop, then import it into Keychain Access and set it up that way.

How to Print a Mail attachment that is a Word document?

I'm working on a community project and other members of the group are sending their work which they have printed on Word on their PC as attachments to an email. I can open and read the documents, but am not able to print them.
I get a popup from Microsoft telling me I have to purchase Office 2004 if I want to print these out. With Text Edit, AppleWorks, iWork already installed, why should I have to purchase another product?
Is there any alternative?

Hello and welcome to the Discussions.
While in the message with attached xxxxx.doc file, control-click over it, and choose Open With, and then choose Pages. While you may get an occasional font substitution, you will be able to print. Same, but choose TextEdit.
Apparently you have allowed OSX to choose the demo version of Office that came on your (new) Mac to open these documents. This will only last for 30 days, I think, and you should probably remove it, to avoid confusion.
However, did you buy iWorks, or is the version installed more than a demo of it?

Have you upgraded to Yosemite? Then you could send the attachment using Mail Drop.
You can use Mail Drop to send files that exceed the maximum size allowed by the provider of your email account. Mail Drop uploads the large attachments to iCloud, where they’re encrypted and stored for up to 30 days.
If you have an iCloud account and you’re signed in to iCloud when you click Send, Mail automatically sends the attachments using Mail Drop. Mail Drop attachments don’t count against your iCloud storage.
If you don’t have an iCloud account, or if you’re not signed in, Mail asks you whether to use Mail Drop (select “Don’t ask again for this account” to always use Mail Drop).
If a recipient uses Mail in OS X Yosemite, the attachments are automatically downloaded and included in your message just like any other attachment. For other recipients, your message includes links for downloading the attachments and their expiration date.
You can turn Mail Drop on or off for an account. Choose Mail > Preferences, click Accounts, select your account, click Advanced, then select or deselect “Send large attachments with Mail Drop.”

How do I email an attached pdf file to stationary templates in mail.

How do I email an attach PDF file using the stationary templates in mail on lion.
I attached the PDF but when try to send it I get back a dialog box that sez:
"This message cannot be sent because it uses stationery and contains attachments that are not images. Messages with stationery cannot contain attachments that aren’t images. You can cancel and return to editing the message or remove the stationery in order to send." My choice is to cancel or remove stationary.
Is there a third party solution? Any suggestion?

But generally it is never a good idea to send e-documents as email attachments. Better use a file sharing service (Acrobat.com, Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, ..), upload the document, then send the shared download link via email.

Mail adapter - how to get rid of attachment

Hi XI Forum,
I want to send a simple mail notification to a user, that his/her data has passed through XI. In that connection I don't want the default behaviour of the mail adapter, which is to attach the message payload to the mail.
In other words - I want to send a mail with NO attachment.
How do I accomplish that ?

Change the Message protocol to 'XIPAYLOAD'. Make sure you uncheck the 'Keep Attachments' checkbox. This should send the email with the xml message in the body of the email with no attachments.
If you do not need the xml message in the body, you could use 'Mail Package' by checking the Mail Package checkbox. In this case, you need to have a mail package xml created with email id, subject and content (that could be custom text). For more instructions on how to do this, refer to Michal's weblog:

How to convert Mail attachment file Tab Delimited file to XML.

Hi PI Experts
    I have XI scenario: MAIL XI SAP (ABAP Proxy), the process is
1.     XI will receive tab delimited file as attachment in mail.
2.     XI will convert the tab delimited file into XML, then map to the target structure.
3.     Target will be posted into ECC through ABAP Proxy.
Can anyone help me how can I convert the attachment file (i.e. Tab delimited file) to XML while configuring the sender side.

I just grabed what I answered from another thread. It should work.
Processing sequence as follows:
1. localejbs/AF_Modules/PayloadSwapBean Local Enterprise Bean swap1
2. localejbs/AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean Local Enterprise Bean tran1
3. sap.com/com.sap.aii.adapter.mail.app/XIMailAdapterBean Local Enterprise Bean mail
Module Configuration as follows: Fill the XXXX part with your info.
swap1 swap.keyName payload-name
swap1 swap.keyValue MailAttachment-1
tran1 Transform.Class com.sap.aii.messaging.adapter.Conversion
tran1 Transform.ContentType ext/xml;charset=utf-8
tran1 xml.conversionType SimplePlain2XML
tran1 xml.documentName XXXXXXX_Mail
tran1 xml.documentNamespace http://XXXXX.com.au/XXXX
tran1 xml.fieldSeparator \t
tran1 xml.processFieldNames fromConfiguration
tran1 xml.structureTitle rows
Once you set up the above configuration, you will get one record at a time.
Create a souce message interface like the followings:

Write a UDF function to remove the TAB space
