How to enter text on a drawing in pages
I want to make a triangle with horizontal lines across and text inside. Kind of like Mazlows (sp??) hierarchy of needs pyramid. Is there a way to draw a shape, then write text over it?
I'm able to make a triangle, however, everytime I attempt to place a line or draw a line over the triangle the triangle either diappears or they are just lined up next to each other.
Thanks.
My first thought was to use the triangle shape instead of creating a triangle from lines. In Pages you can write not just in the text boxes but also in the Shapes. You can change the colour from standard green to white or what you like. You can change the triagle form by dragging a corner or tilt but press the Cmd button and drag a corner.
Read more about it in Chapter 7 in the Pages User Guide, downloadable from your Pages Help menu.

How to enter TEXT data using rules files
Hi,
How can i enter text data using rules files?
Thanks,
AIf you are talking about planning members with a text data type then it is not possible to load the actual text string using a load rule, essbase just stores a numeric value and the text string relating to that numeric value is stored in the planning applications relational tables.
If you want to load text directly then you can load data through the planning layer, more information available at - http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/hp_admin/ch05s02s01.html

How to enter text into text box in Pages '09
When I manually select a text boxes in Pages, I can paste text into them. I can move from text box to text box using System Events to keystroke tabs but have not figured out how to get Applescript Editor to make the pastes. I am trying to use Applescript Editor to enter text into a pages document that is formatted for labels.
I have downloaded template U-0089-02_P.doc from Avery, 14 boxes displayed in two columns of seven rows.
Once you have clicked in the upper left box, the following script should enter text into every box, from left to right and top to bottom.
tell application "Pages"
activate
tell application "System Events"
keystroke "Box 1"
keystroke tab & tab -- to go to the next column
keystroke "Box 2"
keystroke tab -- to go to the next row
keystroke "Box 3"
keystroke tab & tab
-- and so on
end tell
end tell
The problem is that I don't know how to enter the upper left box from the AppleScript Editor. -

How to enter Text or Date Value?
Hi, I am using Planning 9.3.1 and tried to enter text or date value into account
which is defined as text or date, but I can only type numeric value into the cell.
Is there anyone who knows the reason why I can't type in text or date?
Thanks.
Regards,
JerryYou need to set the Evaluation Order to make this work. Once you tell Planning which dimension has priority (Account) the date format should work in a form. This is accessible through the Administration->Dimensions menu pick in the rightmost tab.
Without that evaluation priority, the data just displays as a number.
Once set, you must enter data in a format that mirrors your system locale or Planning application default/user preference. You will not be able to enter a whole number.

How to display text on last but one page
how to display text on last but one page
Hi Preeti,
If u r working on a smartform then click on th window go to the condition tab there
at the end u will find events click on the the event on which u want to trigger the
print.
If u r working on a script then create a text element and call this text elemtn at
the end of processing of the main window, this will make sure that thetext element
is triggered only at the end.
I hope that helps u , if not pls let me know.

Using Photoshop Elements7 / How to enter text on Photo
I have a photo with around 75 people in it. I am attempting to identify each one with a number, by placing a number on each one, then at the bottom of the photo entering the number and name by the number. End result being able to tell who each individual is by the number on them. Can this be done and if so how do I do it.

This is a 2 step process:
Go to Image>resize canvas size and extend the canvas to give you additional room for the text. From the drop down, select inches or % in the vertical axis, then click on the anchor point.
Access the horizontal type tool, and type identifying numbers over each subject, and then in the canvas extension. Each will be on its own layer, so you can position with the move tool.
I added an option which you may consider. Access the custom shape tool, and there is a library called "talk bubbles." You can place a bubble pointing to each subject and type the number as illustrated in the screen shot above (3).

How to enter Text in the iView
Hi,
i would like to create an Text-iView. The Text will be entered by me. What template should i use?
Thank you
Catalin MusatHi Catalin,
Put your text into some KM HTML or text document or use XMLForms within KM. Then use the KM navigation (for XMLNews) or KM docs iView (for all three suggestions; for XMLForms, it depends what you want to show).
Hope it helps
