How to execute Transaction Using JCO

Hello Developper;
Is it possible to execute Transactions using JCO API's or not ?
If yes, can you please provide me with a snippets, from conecting to executing the Transaction and then getting the result.

I really don't understand the use of JCO if you to use it in the same SAP Box. As JCO is basically to have some front end applications without SAP GUI Client,

How to execute transaction GL25 in the background

In GL25, there is no option to create a variant and/or to execute in backgorund.
Therefore, is there a way to run a rollup in background/batch job?

There is no direct option from the screen. You can schedule a job using SM36 , give ABAP program anme as SAPMGLRV
But not sure if you can save a variant to execute this.

we have created a batch file say a.bat and in that batch file we have given the ombplus path "C:\oracle\OWBHome\owb\bin\win32\OMBPlus.bat" and the path of the script file " C:\OWB\test.tcl". if you run the a.bat file its connecting to ombplus but the script is not executing.

I am using closing cockpit to manage the closing processes.
I have defined a task list template with individual activities and a task list. I have already released the task list but I do not known how to execute transactions or programs.
The relevant activities are accessible in tasks to be executed online or in background processing but I do not know how.
What I have to do to execute the transacctions online?

Logon Screen Modificatio : Using JCo for Executing a Func Module in SAP R/3

   I am new to Portal(EP: 6.0: SP12) and JCo.
   We are customizing the Logon Screen of the Portal to include a CLIENT field.
    And we are planning to Call a Z Function Module present in the R/3 of the specified client(in the Logon Screen) using JCO.
    But i am really new to the Environment..
    Could anyone please help in carrying out this work???
    And also i would like to know how a Fuc Module can be called with the help of JCO. Providing a sample Code would really help me a lot!!!!!!

Write a BDC program for updation of tables for u r user-exit.
After that Schedule u r program in back gound job scheduling.
Using SM36 - Define Background job.
Give the job name and Press job wizard button.
It's asking about job name and job class -prioritty.
press continue and give program name .
Select radiobutton based on u r requirement.
Then specify periodic job or only in holidays.
Then u select hours and all.
In SM37 give u r job name and and press execute.

there are two ways to use SCI , one is you open you code in se38 -->display mode --> Program >check>code inspector. here your program is executed with a dafault variant provided in SCI.
Second method is go to SCI , create a inspection an choose a variant , here system provide you with a wide range of program checks (security/syntax etc)

How can I find which transactions used by a user. In which SAP table could I look after?

You can use transaction code ST03N.
1. Go to tx code - ST03N
2. Under "Workload" you can select your "Instance or Total" so that it expands and shows you Days, Week, Month.
3. If you want to look at the transactions executed for a particular day, lets say, then double click on any day.
4. At the bottom left you get "Analysis Views"
5. Select & expand "User and Settlement Statistics"
6. Double click on "User Profile"
7. On the right side of the window you get a list of all the users
8. Double click on a particular user you want to view the details of.
9. The new screen will display the "Transactions/Reports Utilized by User XXX"
If you wanna track which users executed a particular transacation then follow this:
10. In "Analysis Views" expand "Transaction Profile"
11. Double click on "Standard"
You can view the list of Transactions and Reports.
12. Double click on the Tx Code or Report you wanna check and it will show the Use of it.

the first MTI record should be the source record ...ie. it should have transaction quantity as negative.
new set of MTI records should have positive transaction quantities.
Also ensure that sum of transaction quantities for the set should be 0...

Hi,
You can make an executable jar file such that when you double click on that it starts running. Just follow the steps.
1. Open a notepad and write the following
Main-Class: XXXXXXXX
XXXXXXX means Your Main Class name. Don't forget to press Enter after you write your class name.
2. Save the file as Mani.mf
3. In the commant prompt ( your directory ) type following lines.
jar cmf Mani.mf Demo.jar *.*
4. This will make a jar file which is executable jar file

I followed the instructions to create a Portal form for a remote procedure. But I am encountering the following error. Can someone advise what may be the cause?

PURPOSE
How to execute a remote procedure in Portal using Database Link.
DESCRIPTION
This procedure assumes that you have two databases, one of which is remote, and Portal is configured in the other.
Remote Database A:
==================
1) Create a procedure as follows: Create or Replace PROCEDURE SCOTT.ADD_TWO_VALUES ( v_one IN NUMBER, v_two IN NUMBER, v_result OUT NUMBER) as begin v_result :=v_one+v_two; end; 2) Grant execute privileges to PUBLIC on the procedure.
Database B (where Portal is configured): ========================================
1) Create a public database link and choose to connect as a specific user (say SYSTEM). By default, in an Oracle 8i database, the "global_names" parameter in initSID.ora (or init.ora) file is set to "true". This Global Naming parameter enforces that a dblink has the same name as the database it connects to. Therefore, if the remote global database (A) name is "ora8.acme.com" then the database link should also be named as "ora8.acme.com".
2) Create a synonym for the procedure in Database A. Make sure you fully qualify the procedure name in the remote database (like SCOTT.ADD_TWO_VALUES).
3) Create a dynamic page to execute the procedure. The ORACLE tags in the dynamic page will look similar to the following: <ORACLE> DECLARE v_total NUMBER; BEGIN ADD_TWO_VALUES(:v_one,:v_two, v_total); htp.p('The total is => '); htp.p('<input type="TEXT" VALUE='||v_total||'>'); htp.para; htp.anchor('http://<machine.domain:port#>/pls/portal30/SCOTT.DYN_ADD_TWO_VALUES.show_parms', 'Re-Execute Procedure'); END; </ORACLE>
4) Portal does not have an option to create a form based on a synonym. Therefore, if you want to create a form instead of a dynamic page, create a wrapper procedure and then create a form based on this procedure. For example: Create or Replace PROCEDURE PORTAL30.ADD_TWO_VALUES_PR ( v_one IN NUMBER, v_two IN NUMBER, v_total OUT NUMBER) as begin add_two_values(v_one, v_two, v_total); end;
5) Grant execute privileges to PUBLIC on the procedure.

its taking more time to execute .... that's y is there any other option to execute .exe file other than Runtime.getRuntime().exec("filename");Write proper English and you may be taken more seriously.
1) it's not "taking more time to execute", whatever that's supposed to mean.
2) there's no other way to execute something. Not that you should every use even that way anyway
3) whenever you start thinking of executing external programs from Java, start thinking of not using Java in the first place.
