use the function module read_text to retreive the text details.

Fetching Audit log from sm20 tr-cd

Dear guys,
I am asking this question from quiet long time..
but no body replies with enough information....could somebody plz tell me,is this something vague job to do or my explanation is insufficient.?
i debugged the code at SM20 program too..but i could not observe the suitable FM to fetch audit log texts and put in Internal tableshortly.Even though i went thru SECU FGroup..saw audit log related FMs.
could somebody follow this post..i could reward points once i get answer for my question.

You can activate the internal audit system by setting the audit log parameters as described in the following table :
Audit Log parameter settings Audit Log Parameter Set value to...
rsau/enable 1
rsau/local/file path to audit log file
rsau/max_diskspace/local maximum space to allocate for the audit files
rsau/selection_slots 3
rec/client ALL

For SharePoint audit log data, These data combine together in site collection. So there is no easy way to extract audit log data for document library.
As a workaround, you can export the site collection audit log data to a CSV file using PowerShell Command, then you can filter the document library audit log data in Excel.

How to write a log using abap mapping

Hi all.
in PI 7.1 environment I need to use abap mapping and I wish to write some XML data into a table that I created for logging the data.
I know that using the abap mapping I can parse an XML file. My question is how to write this table defining a specific method, if it is necessary.
Any help or suggestion is well appreciated.

just like to normal table (insert statement)
parse XML and get the data you need and just insert into the DB table
there are many tutorials showing how to parse xml file inside abap mapping
so just do a little search on sdn

Dear Satyen,
Go to menu Edit-->Other user group, choose the user group, where u have assigned the infoset no give the name of ur query and press create button, it will display all the infosets those are assigned with that user group. Now select ur infoset and start developing the query.

Capture Audit log

Can any one tell me how to capture Audit log in sap without enabling it i,e. not through sm20

My concern was without enabling audit log through sm19, and display by SM21. How can i find user activity in SAP? i.e, at what time user login/logout from sap and entered which t-code/report of sap and executed which table of sap?
more over i would like to know all these details like...track user activity from SAP i.e., date, time, terminal name, ip address and transaction code, program name and database table along with these details:
a.     PC identity, which is fixed and unique for each users' pc.
b.     VPN login - external and internal ip address of connecting pc.
c.     Report on users connecting to multiple SAP idu2019s from the same pc.
d.     For watched users, need to watch every single record that they access.
e.     Capturing users accessed to which database table of SAP.

Open : VPN Monitor | Audit log information.
Problem - can not cahnge Date and time in the Audit Log Start(End)
How i vcan do this ?
How i can get every day stat log:

We could execute the command below to view Administrator Audit Logging settings:
Get-AdminAuditLogConfig
If it is not enabled, please run the command below:
Set-AdminAuditLogConfig -AdminAuditLogEnabled $True

I cam across that that this is present in the UME API's
but this method is deprecated.
does this information also comes in the security audit logs.

Hi Manoj,
well sort of, you can look up, when a certain person did log in. The last log in then is the date you are looking for. There is however no log saying User X last successful log in at ....

How to setup HFM Task Audit logs?

How to setup HFM Task Audit logs on 9.3.1. I have been asked to provide this information from the Auditing company.

The task audit is a feature which is always on -- it is not configurable. It tracks most common user tasks in HFM, but not everything.
The feature is accessible from the web, but only by users who are part of the application administrators group as configured in the EPM Configurator utility. This is not the same as having the application administrator role. Whoever installed and configured HFM can show you the configuration of this option, in terms of which user group can access Task Audit, Data Audit, System Messages from the web client.
Data Audit is an entirely independent feature, configured by enabling at the account and scenario level from within metadata. Once configured, users in the Application Administrators group (as above) can view this report from the web.

May be this is a repeat question for this forum. Apologize, if it is. Is there a way to schedule a batch job to generate security audit log (SM20) automatically and possibly send a message to SAP Inbox or generate a spool request? Release is 4.6C.
