Hi,
Could someone help me out of this query,when iam running thIs query iam getting this error
and query is
Select trunc((Sysdate - MAX(LASTMODIFIED))*24)||':'||trunc(Mod((Sysdate-MAX(LASTMODIFIED))*24*60,60))
From STATUS_CLAIMS;
ERROR:ORA-00932:INCONSISTENT DATATYPES:EXPECTED NUMBER
GOT INTERVAL DAY TO SECOND
ACTUALLY I NEED HOURS FROM SYSDATE MINUS MAX(LASTMODIFIED) DATE,
WHERE LASTMODIFIED FIELD IS IN TIMESTAMP DATATYPE AND IT IS HAVING DEFAULT OF SYSTIMESTAMP
Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Vikram

Hi,
I would use extract on interval datatype, then some to_char formating before concatenation :Scott@my11g SQL>!cat q.sql
col last_modified for A25
col delta for A30
col deltahour for 999999999
col deltamin for 999999999
col deltafmt for A8
with t(last_modified) as
     select to_timestamp('20120622 12:34:56.789','yyyymmdd hh24:mi:ssxff') from dual
     union all
     select to_timestamp('20120622 01:03:45.678','yyyymmdd hh24:mi:ssxff') from dual
     union all
     select to_timestamp('20120522 01:03:45.678','yyyymmdd hh24:mi:ssxff') from dual
------ end of sample data ------
select
     last_modified
     , cast(sysdate as timestamp)-last_modified delta
     , extract(hour from cast(sysdate as timestamp)-last_modified) deltahour
     , extract(minute from cast(sysdate as timestamp)-last_modified) deltamin
     ,to_char(extract(hour from cast(sysdate as timestamp)-last_modified),'fm00')
          || ':'
          || to_char(extract(minute from cast(sysdate as timestamp)-last_modified),'fm00') deltafmt
from t
Scott@my11g SQL>@q
LAST_MODIFIED             DELTA                           DELTAHOUR   DELTAMIN DELTAFMT
22/06/2012 12:34:56       +000000000 02:36:14.211000000           2         36 02:36

  • How to find out peak workload and peak workload hours ?

    We have recieved a query from client.
    they want us to tell them peak work load (volume of data database manage at peak work load hours).
    now the question is how to find out peak workload and peak workload hour in live prod database?
    i do not think AWR report will give any clue on this even if when extract it for the hours when my database is into some daily planned activity with lots of transactions.
    share your findings? thanks

    The OEM portal allows you to view performance data in a chart over time, based on data in the AWR tables. If you don't have OEM configured, then you can select directly from the tables and sum by snap. Or if you are collecting data at OS level, (SAR etc) then use that.
    If they are just interested in data changes, then you could just select FIRST_TIME, blocks *block_size from v$archived_log and break it down by hour etc.

    This solution works perfectly when the accumulated value has its low and its high on the same day. But I found out :( , that there is also data, which has its low yesterday and its high today. For a better understandig of the case, there is a machine, wich is working over 3 Shifts with irregular start and end time. For example Shift1 cann start at 5:50 or at 7:15. The accumulated value of the worked time is accumuated for each shift extra. This solution works for the shift 1 (approximate between 06:00-14:00) and for the shift 2(approximate between 14:00-22:00), because there is the low and the high of the accumulated value on the same day. This solution does not work for the shif 3(approximate between 22:00-06:00), because the high of the accumulated value is or can be the next day.
    So the thread title should be: "Select just the values between min and max of an accumulated value over the same day(today) or over two successive days (yesterday and today)

  • How to sync iBooks between Mac and iPhone? I'm on Mavericks and iOS 7

    I'm on Mavericks and iOS 7, but my iBook on Mac is different from my iPhone 5.
    Does anyone know how to sync iBooks between Mac and iPhone?
    This issue has been puzzled me for a while, hope can find a way out here, many thanks~

    Under iTunes / File / Devices ?
    But I did not see my iPhone under this section...
    Only see those 4 options:
    Sync "my iPhone"
    Transfer Purchases from "my iPhone"
    Back Up
    Restore from Backup
    Could you describe a bit more precise?
    Many thanks~

  • How to sinck data between  production and R12 instance

    Hi,
    I am working on Oracle Apps up-gradation project.
    Now I have upgrade 11.5.7 to R12 (12.0.4) successfully. I started up-gradation task with 1 May of production data (backup) on new machine.
    Client wants to live R12 from 1/August/2009.
    Please suggest how to sinck data between production and R12 instance.
    Thanks
    Anup

    Hi,
    It is not possible to do what you propose (sync data from an 11.5.7 system to a 12.0.4 system). You will need to re-run the upgrade against the August 1 data, following your original upgrade procedures.

  • How the implementation differs between BW and BI , Is BI takes more time fo

    Hi All,
    I would like to know difference between implemenation and time lines for MM as mentioned below.
    How the implementation differs between BW and BI , Is BI takes more time for implementing MM module  than on BW?
    Thanks in advanced. (Full points will be awarded)

    Hi Timo,
    Thanks for response!
    But as i read from the following url: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E15051_01/apirefs.1111/e10653/oracle/jbo/ViewObject.html, the setQueryTimeOut(int timeOutMills), the timeOut is mentioned in milliseconds. Please correct me if I am wrong.
    and i have overriden the executeQuery() method in the View Object Impl class as shown below:
    public void executeQuery() {
    Map sessionScope = ADFContext.getCurrent().getSessionScope();
    sessionScope.put("MyQuery", this);
    try {
    super.executeQuery();
    } finally {
    sessionScope.remove("MyQuery");
    throw new JboException("Query Taking too long to respond");
    and in the JAVA class i am calling the above method like this:
    monitor.setQueryTimeOut(6);
    monitor.executeQuery();
    But the issue is:
    1. The above exception message is getting carried forward to other pages as well. I mean somewhere in the session/ADFContext this message is being saved and error comes up/pops up when i click on other tabs of the page. How do i clear this?
    2. The above exception message is coming for the first time but when i click the 'Submit' button second time, i am getting the results and also the message that 'Query is taking too long to respond'. This should not be the case, everytime it should show the same message as the timeout limit is less and the query should end without fetching the results.
    Kindly let me know how to resolve the above issues, any pointers will be helpful.
    Thanks in advance.

    Make use of Find function  with the keyword "CALL FUNCTION".
    Make use of the same find function with the keyword "Select" to know the database tables used.
