How to generate ADF Faces Tree from table ?

Hi,
i want to create menu for my application using ADF Faces af:tree component.i have one table containing : menu_id and parent_id , which use for describing relationship between menu ( parent/child ).
Fact : i've already know how to create adf faces af:tree component from master/detail relationship tables.
The question : how to create adf faces af:tree component from recursive master/detail relationship in one table ?
to clearer understand my question,this is my MENU_DATA table script :

There is no compilation/run time error , its just that the tree is not visible.
Can anyone suggest any key points which should be focussed during this implementation?

I made the following change to the xsd file, however when the input type change to emailDataType, it is underline by red color. and the bpm process, activity guide, organization become the unknown project object.

ADF Business Components from Tables - adding more tables

I have already created a ADF Business Components from Tables and added tables from the Oracle database.
My question is:
Is it possible to add more tables to the same Business Components model?
Not as a new Component Table, but with the same tables so i can use the same relations and mappings?

Hi and thanks! Yes, I am talking about recreating a the same View Object that i already has created. In my first model i had the tables Name and Address. I want to add a new table called zipcode to the same View som i can choose colums from the zipcode-table in the same View as Name and Address.

Hi,
the replacement of ADF Faces HTML components in JDeveloper 11 is Trinidad. For existing applications, a migration path will be provided in JDeveloper 11 production. I wouldn't recommend configuring ADF Faces in JDeveloper 11.
You an configure ADF Faces Components in JDeveloper 11 by :
- Tools --> Manage Libraries
- Create a User Library
- select ADF Faces adf-faces-impl.jar
- Enure the namespace is not af or afh but something different to not cnflic with teh ADF Faces RC components
Note that adding the ADF Faces components to the component palette will not make them show in the ADF binding context menu nor will it automaticaly set up the web.xml file. The components are available as any other JSF library set
Again, I wouldn't go this way ;-)

Have a look at the ADF Developer's Guide for specific instructions on menus (the ADF Developer's Guide for Forms/4GL Developers has the information in section 19.2).
You can put javascript handlers on the components to get keyboard event handling.

More information: You cannot use the var attribute to bind the SelectBooleanCheckbox because it is not a managed bean and you can only bind to managed beans. So I created a CoreSelectBooleanCheckbox property in the ThemeTreeTree class (which is a managed bean) with the intent of matching references to the checkBox property as it rippled through the list.
BUT...it doesn't ripple through the list. There is only one instance of the CoreSelectBooleanCheckbox which appears to be shared by all the visible components.
So ... I'm still stumped.

ADF-Faces Migration from EA11 to EA13

I tried to migrate my ADF-Faces application from version EA11 to EA13. Change taglib definition in *.jspx and some changes at tag level (e.g. showOneTabs). Recompile everything and deployed it to an OC4J 10.1.3. Deployment OK, but if I try to contact my application I got following error:

I got it!
The reason was, in directory ../public_html/WEB-INF/lib there was still a jar (adf-faces-api-ea11.jar) from the old EA11 (only this one - funny), and this jar was also included in deployed WAR. I removed this old jar, deploy my application again and the error no more occures.

Currently, I would like to test a Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) system on Zedboard. This system consist of a ANC Chip embedded inside FPGA and written by Verilog language and a earphone which includes a microphone and loudspeaker. This means we need to use ADAU1761 Chip for testing on Zedboard. I also have studied and known that in order to use and control this Audio Chip by writing Verilog code is so difficult.I also referred Lab4 on Xilinx website and I understand that my problem can be solved by synthesizing an IP core from Verilog (which I am programming for ANC chip) as FIR filter in Lab4. My biggest problem, I don't know how to generate an IP core from my Verilog code and I also don't know any tools can help me solve this problem.
Please kindly let me know the way to generate an IP core from my Verilog code or the tools I can use for this problem. Any your suggestions to solve this problem are significant with me.

I would start reading the users guides, and reference manuals. I would work example through the tools.
An IP block is nothing but a verilog or VHDL block that you decide to use over again. Once your block is working, the tools (ISE or Vivado) allow you to capture it, and encapsulate it as an IP block that can be re-used later in other projects (it becomes a library function).
So, first get it to work. Then worry about making it an IP block, and then, only if you need to use it again and again in other projects. If not, then there is no need to go to the trouble of making it an IP block -- just use the verilog or VHDL whenever you need it.

How do I create multiple types of child nodes in ADF Faces Tree Component

I am trying to construct a tree using ADF Faces. The tree I am trying to develop should look something like:
- Departments

The nodes shown at the top level should serve as labels, indicating the various types of nodes available.
I have created the top level RootLabelsViewObj, with a SQL clause:

In the ADF BC Application Module Tester, I get exactly what I want.
However, when I create a JSF JSPX page and drag the RootLabelsViewObj from the Data Control Panel to the page as ADF Tree, I run into a little issue: it seems like I cannot create a second Branch Accessor rule for the RootLabelsViewObj1: I have created a first Branch Accessor Rule referring to DeptView and now try to create a second one for EmpView, to allow Employees to be displayed under the root label "Employees" - but I cannot.
The PageDefinition looks like:

[ADF BC | ADF Faces] Updating a table with values updated in transaction

Summary: A table is based on a view with a bind variable. Based on some action, I update rows in the view so that they no longer satisfy the query. How do I update the table to reflect this?
I have an ADF Faces page with a multi-select table component on it, mapped to an ADF Business Components view object. The view object has a bind variable (:Status), which is used in the query to only retrieve rows with a specific status.
The user selects rows in the table that should have their status changed, and then hits a button to perform the action. In the backing bean for the page, the button click is processed and the selected rows are updated to a different status. At this point the transaction is not committed.
Changing the status of these rows now means that they no longer match the where clause of the view object, yet they still appear in the table.
My question is, how can I update the table so that rows which don't match the where clause are removed?
This is a simplified version of the problem I am working on - this needs to work when rows that aren't in the table are being updated so that they now MATCH the where clause and rows may also be added or completely removed.

I have created a simple test case to illustrate your scenario - perhaps Steve M could comment...
My scenario:
1). create an EO based on the HR.EMPLOYEES table
2). create an updatable VO based upon the aforementioned EO. Add "COMMISSION_PCT IS NULL" to the where clause.
3). Add the VO to an app module as usual.
4). Create an ADF Faces page by dropping the VO from the data control as an ADF table. Show only first name, last name, and commission pct.
5). Add a command button to the page so I can call various code from the backing bean.
Now, when I update the commision for the first record to ".1" and press the submit button (the one in the table actions facet), the update "takes" - I assume that it's just in the EO cache at this point. The record still shows on the screen, even though it no longer meets the where clause criteria.
When I add some code to the command button (#5) to perform a commit - the record STILL shows on the screen after committing to the DB. I can make the record disappear by either (in the same backing-bean method that does the commit)
a). Re-execute the iterator after the commit
b). Call "clearVOCaches" on the application module (forces the iterator to re-execute)
I even tried programmatically adding the where clause back in (via addWhereClause) and re-executing the iterator - no go. I suspect that the only way to do this would be to post the changes to the DB (without committing them) and then re-execute the query. This, however, would be a killer from a scalability perspective.

The db is like this:

demo->lab info: one to many
I want to get one query result which are demo left join acr, and demo left join clinical, and demo left join lab. I hope the result is a record including demo info, acr info, clinical info, and lab info.
How could I do this in SQL?

Actually, I need a huge query to include all the tables in our db.
We are running a clinical db which collects the patients demographics info, clinical info, lab info, and many other information.
The Demographics table is a center hub which connects other tables. This is the main architecture.
My boss needed a huge query to include all the information, so others could find what they need by filtering.
As you have found, because one patients usually has multiple clinical/lab info sets, so the result will be multiplied! the number of result=n*m*k*...
My first plan is to set time point criteria to narrow all the records with one study year. If somebody needs to compare them, then I have to show them all.

Check whether the program is in TRDIR table or not,if it is there then it will be available else you need to talk to basis guys.
If the program is there and you want to revert to previous version then go to version management and select the version number and then click on the button RETRIEVE.
Smartforms don't haver the concept of version management and hence it is always advisable to download the smartform and then go ahead with the changes.If in case you want to revert to pervious version then you can upload the downloaded smartform and get back the previous version.
