How to generate .ods/.odt instead of .tsv

In Oracle apps, we have standard functionality to export data of multi record block in Excel sheet by using File --> Export option. First the file is created in .tsv which can be opened in Excel.
Since my client is using SUN products and not using MS products he wants the file to be generated in a .odt/.ods format. According to the information, There is an OpenSource widget that can be used to create a Staroffice document out the gate. You just embed it into your custom application. If you look at the link below under the Navigation section on the left, you will see a JOD on-line demo.

Any one know about this ???
Kindly let me know...
Thanks in advance

  • How to generate PDF report directly instead of RPT report by using JRC ?

    Hi,
    Good Day !
    How to generate PDF report directly instead of RPT report by using Crystal Reports XI Release 2 Java Reporting Component (JRC) in desktop (Swing thick-client) ?
    My GUI program will generate a RPT report, then i can export to PDF file, this is ok, no problem.
    BUT
    i want it direct to generate a PDF report, not a RPT report.
    The code like below (2 java files)
    ClassA.java
    ReportClientDocument reportClientDoc = new ReportClientDocument();
    reportClientDoc.open(XXX, 0);
    ParameterFieldController paramFieldController = reportClientDoc.getDataDefController().getParameterFieldController();
    paramFieldController.setCurrentValue("", "XXX", DomainClass.getXXX());
    new ReportViewerFrame(reportClientDoc);
    // End of ClassA.java
    // Begin ReportViewerFrame.java
    public class ReportViewerFrame extends JFrame
           //Initial window frame properties.
         private final int XPOS = 80;
         private final int YPOS = 60;
         private final int WIDTH = 760;
         private final int HEIGHT = 550;
         private ReportViewerBean reportViewer = new ReportViewerBean();
         private ReportClientDocument reportClientDoc = new ReportClientDocument();
         public ReportViewerFrame(ReportClientDocument reportClientDoc) throws    Exception
              //Initialize frame properties.
              this.setResizable(true);
              this.setLocation(XPOS, YPOS);
              this.setSize(WIDTH, HEIGHT);
              this.setTitle("Crystal Report Java Viewer");
              //Add GUI components to the frame including the ReportViewerBean.
              addComponents();
              //Add GUI listeners to the frame.
              addListeners();
              //Set the report that the ReportViewerBean will display.
              this.reportClientDoc = reportClientDoc;
              reportViewer.setReportSource(reportClientDoc.getReportSource());
              reportViewer.init();
              reportViewer.start();
              //Display the frame.
              this.setVisible(true);
    How to set the export option to PDF base on existing code ?
    Where can i download this package/jar ?
    regards

    Please find a console app that you can extend it to a JFrame app by importing the relevant swing package:

  • How to generate JAX-RPC web services instead of JAX-WS webservices withOEPE

    How to generate JAX-RPC web services instead of JAX-WS webservices withOEPE? I am asking this because I need to pass xmlbeans generated objects as arguments in the web method. For JAX-WS there has to be a no argument constructor for it to be able to pass in theweb method. The workshop 10.3 was able to pass the xmlbeans generated object as the web service was implemented as a JAX-RPC web service....

    Ok just as I expected. So I guess I am left with the following two options
    1) either I switched to using JAXB in my apps instaed of xmlbeans....
    2) or if I still wanna use the old JAX-RPC web services to deploy on the Weblogic 10gR3 server i will have to create my own ant task jwsc directly......as shown below in your docs
    Programming Web Services for WebLogic Server (ant tasks)
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13222_01/wls/docs92/webserv/anttasks.html
    Getting Started With WebLogic Web Services Using JAX-RPC
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12840_01/wls/docs103/webserv_rpc/index.html
    Will OEPE be supporting the old JAX-RPC anytime in the near future release? or have to create own build ant task to call jwsc ant task directly to compile JAX-RPC web services??

  • How to Generate and Display SVG Graphics in ABAP

    Hi everybody,
    I tried to complete the Tutorial "How to Generate and Display SVG Graphics in ABAP, Part 1" by Siarhei Ulasenka (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/ad83a990-0201-0010-d680-a189f8bc20fa).
    Unfortunately when I tried the example to display an SVG Drawing in an ABAP Report I get the error message "Es ist ein Laufzeitfehler aufgetreten, ungültiges Zeichen" (english should be something like "Runtime Error, unkown character"). But it works when I open the svgfile in a new IE Window (parameter in_place from cl_gui_html_viewer->show_url). Also when I open a svg file from the local disc it works fine.
    The code:
        CALL METHOD html_control->load_data
          EXPORTING
            url            = 'chart.svg'
            type         = 'image'
            subtype    = 'svg+xml'
          CHANGING
            data_table = lt_svg
          EXCEPTIONS
            OTHERS     = 1.
        CALL METHOD html_control->show_url
          EXPORTING
            url        = 'chart.svg'
            in_place   = 'X'
          EXCEPTIONS
            cntl_error = 1.
    Has anyone a solution? Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hello Alex,
    The Corel SVG viewer has problems loading and displaying the examples (see the list of limitations at their site). Try to use the Adobe viewer instead.

  • How to generate Java source using clientgen WL8.1?

    Hi, does anybody know how to generate Java source code using clientgen task on WL 8.1 Sp4 or SP5? I know WL 9.0 clientgen can do this, but we are still on SP5. Basically I want to look at the source code (I was wondering why it didn't work if I initialize a service impl by passing the WSDL URL string different than the URL specified in the original WSDL file that the clientgen is run against.)
    Does anybody also know how get web service client developed on Axis work on WebLogic without conficting the web service developed on WebLgoic that is running in the same box?
    Thanks for your help!

    hi ,
    As mentioned in the Question, I am unable to find the "Java Proxy Generattion" link in the Int builder.
    Also the help doc says:
    Java proxy generation is no longer supported in subsequent releases. For new developments or when making significant changes to a service interface, use Java proxy generation in SAP NetWeaver Studio instead. More information: Creating Outside-In Web Services, SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio.
    Does that mean that I can no longer generate java proxy from Int builder?

  • How to Generate 997 for different trading partner with different Interchang

    How to Generate 997 for different trading partner with different InterchangIDS
    We are planning to use same working “ABC -> XYZ (Host)” 850 “ecs” file even for “EFG -> XYZ (Host)” 850 Transaction. And we have successfully implemented without any issues.
    We wanted to send 997 Acknowledgement in case of “EFG -> XYZ (Host)” 850 transaction.
    In this case also we would like to use same “ecs” file which has been used for “XYZ (Host) -> ABC”.
    After adding the 997 capabilities to Stanley I don’t see any extra capability added to “XYZ (Host)” trading partner.
    The generated 997 for Stanely EDI file doesn’t reflect the “XYZ (Host)” trading partner Interchange ID. It is getting reflected the previous 997 Transaction “XYZ (Host)” Intercahnge ID.
    We use following Interchange ID’s
    ABC = 005381447
    XYZ (Host) = 049894764
    EFZ = SWEOT30013
    XYZ (Host) = 5273851T
    The 997 which is generated has the InterchangeID as this “049894764” instead of “5273851T”
    Regards
    Ravi

    Hi Ravi,
    You have to have the two Delivery Channels under Host TP's communication capability. One host delivery channel should be used with one TP only and will have specific values to that TP.
    Go to the Exchange Protocol Parameters of Host TP (XYZ) delivery channel (which you are using in the agreement with EFZ) and provide the required values here. Revalidate and redeploy the agreements and run a test. Let us know if you still face issue.

  • How to generate an invoice output programmatically?

    I need to generate an invoice output(Sapscript or smartform output) pragrammatically by input an invoice number and then I can obtain its spool number.I have known how to get its spool number already. Now my concern is how to generate an invoice output programmatically. Who can give me some hints here? Thank you very much.

    Hi Sudhir, Thanks for your helps. But I think I may in a wrong way for my issue. Though RSNAST00 cannot process those existed invoices due to their dispatch time (NAST-VSZTP) or status (NAST-VSTAT), while those invoices could still be printout by using VF31, I may NOT SUBMIT RSNAST00 in my function module, instead I should look for other proper print program to be submit. My function module should process those existed invoices as well without changing their NAST date.
    So if you have any suggestion to other print program (maybe some program above RSNAST00), please advice.
    Thanks and have a great long weekend.

    Hi ,
    One 'simple' way is by using the DBMS_SCHEDULER db package and the procedure CREATE_JOB(....) using as job_type the value 'EXECUTABLE'...
    Read for further info in 'PL/SQL Packages and Types Reference'.
    If you have access to OEM ... you can configure this there using wizard.....
    Other way is to use the External Procedure call capabiblity of Oracle DB Server...:

  • Best Practices:: How to generate XML file from a ResultSet

    Hi all,
    Could someone please suggest the best practices of how to generate an XML file from a resultset? I am developing a web application in Java with Oracle database and one of my tasks is to generate an XML file when the user, for example, click a "download as XML" button on the JSP. The application is basically like an Order with line items. I am using Struts and my first thought has been to have an action class which will extend struts's DownloadAction and through StAX's Iterator API to create an XML file. I intend to have a POJO which will have properties of all columns of my order and line items tables so that for each order I get all line items and:
    1. Write order details then
    2. Through an iterator write line items of that order to an XML file.
    I will greatly appreciate for comments or suggestions on the best way to do this through any pointers on the Web.

    Use a OracleWebRowSet in which an XML representation of the result set may be obtained.

    The easy way is to use your values to set the width or height of an image dynamically in HTML, but you can only do bar charts using this method.

    One method would be to use ROLLUP in your SQL
