How to generate the hash value of an user password? thanks.
same as subject
No version number and no indication of why or what ... Ok ... I'll guess again:
In addition to what Maxim told you:
Use the DBMS_SQLHASH built-in package
http://www.psoug.org/reference/dbms_sqlhash.html
Use the ORA_HASH built-in function
http://www.psoug.org/reference/ora_hash.html
Use the DBMS_OBFUSCATION or DBMS_CRYPTO built-in packages.

JTable problem : how to get the last value entered by user + event lost
Hi all,
I have 2 problems with Jtable class.
1 => To get the last value entered by user in a cell,
it seems that we must change the selected cell.
That is to say we can only have the previous cell's value.
Is there a simple way to get the current value of any cell ?
2 => To resolve the problem i store the values of each cell in a vector and i intercept keyboard event (!)
BUT, when i do a double click with the mouse on the Jtable, i loose keyboard events. Then, i can't intercept them.
Is it a bug of swing or am i following a wrong way ?
Thanks by anticipation for your help.You have to fire the "TableCellUpdatedEvent"
and override the getCellEditorValue in TableCellEditor to return the current value -
How to generate a Nonce value for creating a password digest.
Hi,
I need to generate a 'nonce' value - is there a standard java library that can already do this? From what i've read its a random, non repeatable set of bytes.
This nonce is used in the calculation of a password digest to create a WS-Security UsernameToken.
Thanks in advance.If you need a non-repeatable sequence of bytes, you'll could use a simple sequence generator (a counter). The problem with a counter is that you'll need to centralize and coordinate the generation of such sequence. (For instance, retrieving the value from a Oracle database "SEQUENCE").
But for most practical needs using a cryptographically-safe random number generator like SecureRandom (that tries to use the /dev/random device in Linux & Solaris, and the MS CryptoAPI provider in Windows, using true hardware random number generators if available and correctly installed) is good enough. -
How to get the last value edited by users from JTable?
Hi.
I have a JDialog that includes an editable JTable. This table is used to set up field caption and font for a report program. I found only when cursor is moved to another cell, the value in current cell being edited will be transferred to Table Model. So if the user dont move cursor to another cell after editing the value of a cell but click OK button directly, Table Model cannot get the last value edited by the user, I wonder if there is a way to fire JTable to transfer the value being edited to Table model.
By the way, I found if the TableCellEditor is using JCheckBox or JComboBox instead of JTextField, there is no this problem.
Thank you for any reply.I guess you can make use of the following methods on your table model to inform it make it getValueAt bcos table data has changed.
fireTableCellUpdated
Notifies all listeners that the value of the cell at [row, column] has been updated.
fireTableChanged
Forwards the given notification event to all TableModelListeners that registered themselves as listeners for this table model.
fireTableDataChanged
Notifies all listeners that all cell values in the table's rows may have changed. The number of rows may also have changed and the JTable should redraw the table from scratch. The structure of the table (as in the order of the columns) is assumed to be the same.
But when to call these methods??
-- When OK button is pressed, do this as the first thing!!
OR
-- Call this on every key event!!

How to use the prompted value in the filter expression
Hi
Is it possible to use the prompted value in the filter expression?
My requirement is that user will be prompted for a date field and I need to filter the records such that the records are displayed for the last 5 weeks from the date entered by the user.
If somehow I know how to use the prompted value in the filter expression then this requirement is easy to be done. If this is possible, please guide me?
If there are other ways to acheive the desired results then please suggest.
Thanks

How to get the selectOneRadio value in javascript
Hi,
I want the selectOneRadio value in javascript. Can anyone give us a solution how to get the selectOneRadio value to javascript from jspx page.
Thanks,
EswariHi,
I assume you are talking about JDeveloper 10.1.3 in where there is no JavaScript API ADF Faces.Here you will have to use document.getElementById() to access the radio button component (which is a list component). You can look at the generated HTML for how the component and its ID look like.
However, what is the usecase that you cannot handle in native JSF ?

How to update the table value in the valuechange event?
I have an input field in the datatable with the valueChangeListener
<rich:dataTable id="cart" value="#{cart.cartList}" var="item">
<h:inputText value="#{item.cost}" id="qty" valueChangeListener="#{items.updateCost}" onchange="submit()">
<h:outputText value="#{item.errorMsg}"> </h:outputText>
in the backing bean
Item item = (Item) model.getRowData();
// do some update, if the cost too larger, change to max_cost
item.setCost(max_cost);
item.setErrorMsg("Error Msg");
After calling the valuechange method, the screen output doesn't update the cost.
How to update the table value in the valuechange event?As you're misusing the valueChangeListener to set another input field, you need to skip the update model values phase. Otherwise the value set in the valueChangeListener will be overridden by the submitted value. You can do this by calling the FacesContext#renderResponse() inside the valueChangeListener method. This will shift the current phase immediately to the render response phase, hereby skipping the update model values and invoke application phases.

i have one database table called "sms1" that table is updated every day or on daily basis it has the following fields in it:
SQL> desc sms1;
Name Null? Type
MOBILE NUMBER
RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER VARCHAR2(39 CHAR)
SNO NUMBER
INDATE DATE
From this table the is one column "RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER VARCHAR2(39 CHAR)" . I am splitting it into different columns like :
SQL> desc smssplit;
Name Null? Type
R VARCHAR2(2 CHAR)
C VARCHAR2(2 CHAR)
S VARCHAR2(1 CHAR)
TC VARCHAR2(3 CHAR)
NA VARCHAR2(3 CHAR)
TC2 VARCHAR2(3 CHAR)
NA2 VARCHAR2(3 CHAR)
TC3 VARCHAR2(3 CHAR)
NA3 VARCHAR2(3 CHAR)
TC4 VARCHAR2(3 CHAR)
NA4 VARCHAR2(3 CHAR)
WTHER VARCHAR2(10 CHAR)
SNO NUMBER
INSERTDATA VARCHAR2(25 CHAR)
Now I am written a procedure to insert the data from "Sms1" table to smssplit table...
CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE SPLITSMS
AS
BEGIN
INSERT INTO scott.SMSSPLIT ( R,C,S,TC,NA,TC2,NA2,TC3,NA3,TC4,NA4,WTHER,SNO)
SELECT SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,1,2) R,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,3,2) C,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,5,1) S,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,6,3) TC,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,9,3) NA,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,12,3) TC2,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,15,3) NA2,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,18,3) TC3,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,21,3) NA3,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,24,3) TC4,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,27,3) NA4,
SUBSTR(RCSTCNATCNATCNATCNAWTHER,30,10) WTHER, SNO
FROM scott.SMS1 where SNO=(select MAX (sno) from SMS1);
END;
Now in order to update the second table with data from first table on regular basis I have written a job scheduler and I am using oracle 9.0. version...
DECLARE
X NUMBER;
JobNumber NUMBER;
BEGIN
SYS.DBMS_JOB.SUBMIT
job => X
,what => 'scott.SPLITSMS;'
,next_date => SYSDATE+1/1440
,interval => 'SYSDATE+1/1440 '
,no_parse => FALSE
:JobNumber := to_char(X);
END;
Now this job scheduler is working properly and updating the data for every one minute but it is taking or updating the duplicate values also ..like example:

--SridharHi Patricia,
is it working for restricted key figure and calculated key figure ??
Note Number Fisc Period Opening Days
1 1 2
2 1 3
3 1 0
because I have other restriction, so I create two restricted key figure..
RK1 with restriction : Total Number of Note,
RK2 with restriction : Total Opening Days ,
then I Created a calculated key figure, average opening days in a period
CK1 = RK2 / RK1..
in this case, I am not sure if it will work or not..
for example, during RK2 calclation, it might be this 2+3 = 5, the line with 0 will be ignored..
during RK1 calcualtion, it might be 1 + 1 + 1 = 3. ---> Not sure in this case, the line with opening days 0 will be calculated or not..
could you please confirm.. -

Edited by: jingying Sony on Apr 15, 2010 6:18 AMHi,
What kind of web page do you have? Do you have possibility to for example make RFCs? Then you could trigger events (with parameters that could "return" the values) and the workflow could react to those events. For example your task can have terminating events.

SRM 4.0- How to set the default values for product type (01) only for SC
The radio button Service should not be visible.
Also for search help (e.g. search for internal products) where a search should only be possible for product type 01 (goods). The system should not display the product type and internally always search for goods only.
How to set the default values for product type (01) only for SC
We needs to use Search help BBPH_PRODUCT which having parameter PRODUCT_TYPE
Here we can set defalut value 01 but it is not correct one since same search help is using several places.
We need to limit the search help results only for SC.
Kindly help out me ASAP.The easiest way to set defautl values is to edit the batch class.
Goto the characteiristic and go to update values.
In here you probably have something like 0 - 100 as a spec range.
On the next line enter the default value within this range. At the end of the line, click in the box in the column labelled "D". This indicates the defautl value for the characteristic.
If you need to you can do this in the material classification view as well.
Just to be clear, these values will only show up in the batch record. You can not have defautl values in resutls recording screens.

How to display the sort value in the selection screen in the report title
Dear All,
How to display the sort value in the selection screen in the report title? I have selected a value in the selection screen for sorting , but i need that values by which i have sorted with in the report title. Can you please throw some light on this!!
Good day,
Thanks and regards
Arun SHi Arun,
Try this.
1, Set one dynamic parameter,
2, Drag and drop that parameter into your report title.
3, Pass the value(sort value) dynamically from your application,
4, Cheers..
Other wise Try with Dataset, create a dataset and fill thev alue into that.. Then set the data source from CR designer. and darg and drop that data column into the report.
Hope this will work,
Regards,
Salah
