How to get application username

Hi All,
I would like to get the application username, but I don't know how to get it. Can anyone tell me, thanks.

Okay,
and how does your application user connect to the application? Is there any kind of user authentication you perform before letting the user in?
If not then all you can do is to try and get the VM system information if running with local deployment
package mypackage5;
import java.util.*;
public class Class1
public Class1()
String user = System.getProperty("user.name");
System.out.println("The user is:"+ user);
public static void main(String[] args)
Class1 class1 = new Class1();

  • How to get Application Error descriptions

    Hi, all:
    Our interface has ECC system involved.
    The Message Monitoring in local integration engine shows that there are many messages with application errors.
    I would like to export all messages with application error:
    include message ID and error text.
    Right now, I can export the data from Message monitoring window, but I can not get application error from exported spreadsheet. anyone has idea how to do it ?
    Thanks in advance !
    Liang Ji

    Hi, venkata:
    Thanks for you reply.
    Our scenario is
      ThirdPartySystem ---> SOAP ---> XI ---> ECC (ABAP Proxy)
      Technically, the scenario is running perfect.
    After go-alive, there are many application errors because of the data problem,  e.g.:
    Cannot create order. Service order number already exist
    We know these problem are caused by conversion, now I would like to track each message, so I exported to spreadsheet from Message monitoring.
    But the exported spreadsheet does not include Application Error text, this is the reason I post the question here, do you have idea about it ?
    Thanks

    Is it possible to get password?
    Thanks,

    There's no way to get the password. NTLM uses a two-round challenge-response scheme which never send the password (neither clear nor encrypted) on the wire.
    Why do you need the user's password? Is your service going to access a backend service using the user's credential? If so, you may need to use Kerberos delegation.

  • How to get application names currently running on Windows?

    Hi Experts,
    Please help me how do I get application names (tasks) currently running (as shown in Windows Task Manager-Application Tab) in Windows.
    Thanks,
    Deepak

    Hi....
    probably it's a unusual solution but you could try it....
    Create a *.bat file   call it test.bat .. Create it on your local machine or on your server folder..
    PARAMETERS: DOSCMD(30) DEFAULT 'c:\test.bat' LOWER CASE.
    call function 'GUI_EXEC'
      exporting
        command          = DOSCMD.
    Inside your test.bat file put this code..(it's a dos command to create a txt file containing the output  of tasklist.exe command
    tasklist > c:\test.txt
    In your test.txt file you will have a list of tasks running on windows...
    Hope to help...

  • How to get applications out of trash?

    How do I get Applications out of trash?

    Thanks for your information. I did as you suggested, but when I try to move the Application folder from my desk top to Macintosh HD entry in the side bar of the new finder window, a warning sign comes up saying "Applications" can't be modified or deleted because it's required by MAC OS X.
    My son and daughter were on my lap top(daughter 25 and son 14), somehow they say all my photo's are in trash, over 4,000, so I am trying to retrieve them. I would welcome any suggestions. Sorry for the delay, but the family has been full of nasty bugs and then to cap it all my son broke his wrist, so we have been in hospital. What a week!

  • HttpSessionListener: how to get the username?

    When a session is created, I want to read some data from database
    and store it as session variables. What data is to be read depends
    on the user name.
    I use the HttpSessionListener.
    How can I get the username from within the sessionCreated method?
    I could getRemoteUser() from HttpServletRequest, but how do I get
    the request?
    J2EE API documentation says:
    public interface HttpSession
    Provides a way to identify a user across more than one page request or
    visit to a Web site and to store information about that user.
    Therefore, my problem ought to have a solution, oughtn't it?

    You'd like to think so.
    Unfortunately, the Servlets 2.3 spec does not appear to address combining deployer-based authentication with deployer-based listener classes. This means it's pretty much up to the vendors whether you can do this.
    I'm using jetty/jboss, and the situation is as follows:
    Authentication info is stored in the session only if you use form-based authentication (which, as I found, means you're forced to use form-based authentication if you want your users to be able to log off.)
    However, even if you are using form-based authentication, there are two problems.
    1. your HttpSessionListener implementing class gets called BEFORE they login (i.e. before the login page is presented). So there's nothing in the session yet.
    2. How the container stores the authentication info in the session is entirely up to the vendor. In the case of jetty, the login is stored in the session property "org.mortbay.jetty.Auth".
    So in the case of Jetty, you'd need to implement HttpSessionAttributesListener, wait for that property to be set, and then get the stuff from the db based on that setting. Needless to say, this is highly non-portable. sigh.
    I think the only way to do what we want is to forget HttpServletRequest and use a filter instead. Bummer.
    Did you come up with any bright ideas in the end?

  • How to get application module instance from java bundle?

    Hi!
    I would like to build an application that would get all translations from a database table.
    So I created application module for translations that contains a view object which is selecting translations for specific language from a database table. I exposed a method in application module as client interface which returns HashMap<String, String> for all translations for specific language. When I test my view and client interface method call they work fine.
    Then I created java bundle classes to get translations for specific language. Then I tried to override public Object[][] getContents() method.
    I tried to get my translations application module like this:
    SharedTranslationsAppModuleImpl am = new SharedTranslationsAppModuleImpl();
    Map<String, String> translationsMap = am.getTranslations(this.getLocaleCode); // Client interface method call
    In getTranslations(String LocaleCode) I try to get that view (which would select translations from database) but it returns NULL and I get NPE error message.
    So what is the right way to get application module from java bundle file? Now everytime application wants to get translations, application stops and displays NPE message.
    Regards, Marko
    I use JDeveloper 11.1.2.1.0

    Marko,
    you can't just instantiate an application module. An application module has to be set up, db connections and memory pools have to be initialized and ....
    Can you describe why and when you try to read the resource bundle from the db and where the resource bundle is used?
    This blog may be what you are looking for http://technology.amis.nl/2012/08/10/implement-resource-bundles-for-adf-applications-in-a-database-table/

  • How to get the username/password of the current owner of the running code

    Dear friends,
    Our product is running on the App Server(weblogic/websphere...) and we also use security provider(OpenLDAP) and kerberos to support SSO. Before, when a user tyies to login in the first time, the way we use to authenticate the user is:
    1) Accept the username/password
    2) Query the security provider(OpenLDAP) to get the principles.
    3) verity if the username/password is corrent or not.
    As we know, to query the principles, we need to provide a search user(both username and password) if we configured the access control of the ldap server:
    I have configured my envirioment as follows
    1) In the LDAP server, configured the Middle Tire user(The Operating System user running the App Server) to have the permission to query principles.
    2) The server is configured to runing on SSO envirioment.
    My question is could I get the username/password of the OS user running the App Server at runtime so that I can query the ldap server without explicitly providing the search user?
    Thanks,
    RR
