How to get flash audio to play when published to godaddy

I'm trying to move all my iWeb websites to Godaddy, but can't get flash audio to work playing my mp3 on the site. With iDisk it's easy, just install the flash player in there, but how do I get it to my godaddy server and write the iDisk address into the widget code. How do I do it when using godaddy as the new host?

Download the folder of assets for your flash player from iDisk. Get there from the Finder Go menu - iDisk/My iDisk/Web/Sites.
Drag the folder onto your desktop and then upload it to the server using an FTP app like the freeware Cyberduck or your hosting service's file manager.
Enter the new URLs to the files in snippet code.

I have created a DVD, in Encore, with links to PDFs. Of course, when they click on the link to the PDF, it tells them to play the disc in their DVD-ROM player. For the computer side of the disc, I have created a Flash file that looks exactly like the DVD menus, except it will open the PDFs. When I put the DVD into a computer, it always opens the DVD video first. I would like it to open the Flash exe, first. Opening the DVD video will probably confuse the user since it will tell them to play the DVD in a computer DVD-ROM player, which they already are playing it from the PC. I have an Autostart file. Is there something else that I need to do, to get the Flash to play first, or is this a setting on the computer? Thanks for any help you provide.

I have website (basic) that i created with a flash rotating banner. Banner works fine on all computers but won't play on iphone. I'm aware that there are limitations at this point with flash and iphones. How are webdesigners creating rotating banners and the like that play on iphones? Let's just put all your Flash files in the the same folder to simplifly things during testing... later you can move them to any folder you want, just remember that the paths to those files then need to be changed to be relative to the Web page that your .swf file is on, not the physical location of the actual file.
Practice in a brand new html Web page......copy and paste this into the code view, or copy and paste into NotePad and save as file type .html
Be sure to put the swfobject file, the Flash .swf file, the .mov file and this html file all in the same folder during testing.

Edit to match your .swf and .mov file names and change dimensions to suit.
I've purposely "turned off" swfobject by giving it an in-correct file name "swfobject_off.js"... so initially it will NOT work..result is you will see your "alternate content", the .mov.
Once you can confirm that your alt content is working, edit the swfobject file name to "swfobject.js", removing the _off part.
Now your browser will find that file.. swfobject will try detect the Flash plugin, if it finds it, it will

rewrite the div id=flash with the Flash content and violla... you'll have your Flash banner and iPhone users will have theirs!

Flash Player version 10.1.102.64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users. However, this Flash version won't work for many videos on Facebook, YouTube and other sites. Adobe's latest version, 10.2.x or later, is only for Intel Macs. Adobe will not provide a newer Flash version for PPC Macs.
The message requesting that you download Adobe Flash Player takes you to Flash Player requiring an Intel processor. Doesn't work on a PowerPC processor. I found a hack, installed it & it works with Firefox, TenFourFox & Safari.

Audio only plays when started from the beginning?

Hi! I'm fairly new to flash, i'd consider myself a beginner, but recently i've been tasked with making an animation for someone! There is a song playing in the animation, it's a wav and it's on its own layer. There are also drawings i imported in too.
My problem is, i want to be able to sync up the little drawings to the words of the song, but the audio only plays when i start at 0 on the timeline. If i were to start at let's say frame 24, it won't play. Does anyone know how to fix this? This commission needs to be finished by Wednesday and it's a S L O W process, having to start it over only to hear like one or two words later on

Stumped! Can't Get Some Audio To Play.

I have some files that I converted with Visual Hub and I used their Apple TV 5.1 encoding. I have my Apple TV hooked up to my TV through HDMI. I recently moved and now no mater what I can't get the audio to play for those files. I have audio when I go through the menus and if I listen to music or podcasts. But these files that have DD 5.1 all of a sudden don't play. I've tried everything I could think of. Can anyone help?

Not all process DD5.1, but if they don't there's often a second stereo rack in files which will play.
Is DD out enabled in settings on AppleTV?

The flashing folder with a question mark means that your computer can't recognize the hard drive. This could either mean that your hard drive is dead or it just isn't connected to the actual computer.
You can first try pressing the option key immediately after pressing the power button to go into startup manager. There you can choose your startup disk. If it still doesn't work (like it didn't for me) you can check to see if the problem is in the hard drive or the cable by inserting the installation dvd and re-install. Go into disk utlility and If it's unmounted, than the hdd most likely dead. If there's no hard drive icon at all, there's a good chance it's the cable.
Alternatively, you can open up the back, connect the hard drive to a different computer, and test to see if it's working. If it is, than all you only need is a hard drive connector cable ($20-60), but if it isn't then you need to get a new hard drive (about $90~$300)
Honestly, your best bet is to go to the Apple website and schedule an appointment for the genius bar where they'll do all the testing and replacing. It's actually cheaper (and faster) than doing it yourself because they usually don't charge you for a labour fee, and you don't have to wait or pay for shipping if you're ordering the parts online. I got mine replaced for about $20 and it was done in 10 min. If you're replacing the hard drive though, you may want to take the oppurtunity to upgrade to a better hard drive. You don't. APple and Adobe don't play well together. Adobe never made a version of flash that met apple's requirements, Apple was never happy with what Adobe made so Flash is not natively supported. YOu can look for browsers that support flash, such as Puffin, Skyfire, iSwiffer and others.
There likely won't be much growth in this area since Adobe has ceased all production on mobile flash so it is in essence, dying technology....however as with anything, it'll be a long drawn out death that'll likely take years for it to totally go away.

There is no need to get the path. It is also fairly pointless as the server cannot access the client's local file system.
