How to get month last date and first date without FM's

Hi Guru's,
How can we get month's first date and last date based on the date given in selection screen without FM's?Is it possible ?
Like if i give 05-Oct-2008 in the selection screen, i should get the output as 01-Oct-2008 to 31-Oct-2008.Without FM's???

Hi Rakesh,
You can implement this logic as follows:
You can have two internal tables, one containing the days as numbered 31, 28, 31, and so on with the month number. This holds good if the year is a common year. Another internal table contains days as numbered 31, 29, 31 and so on with the month number. This year would be a leap year.
An year can be calculated depending on the conditions:
Say date is given as 20081008
Concatenate 20081001 + 0(4) into l_date.
Divide l_date by 4 and remainder should be equal to 0.
Divide l_date by 400 and remainder should also be equal to 0.
Then the dominical year will be a leap year.
Now, if l_date divided by 100 and the remainder is 0 then the year is a common year.
So depending on this populate the first date and last date from the respective internal table

I have a regular Process form, a child form and a process definition. When there is an insert/delete into child form a trigger is raised and the process task gets called. The process task does whatever it needs to do on the target system. This is all fine. However, after the task completes, lets say successfully, I want to send out an email to the user saying, for example, group 1 has been added to you or just got deleted.
I am not able to figure out how to get that last operation and child form data. I am sure you came across this and if so please let me know how to do this.

So, Can I add a similar process task with the same exact condition one more time? I thought I couldn't use the same condition again. For example, when a group is deleted can I use the process data->child data->group Id with old value check box checked on another process task?

Is there a way to get only the date without the time in the footer of a printout?

As far as I can tell, there's no built-in option to get the date printed without the time. It's hardcoded in a C++ file.
As a workaround, you can enter custom text for the footer, but it would need to be updated every time the date changed. I can think of a couple ways to automate that:
* An add-on (but I'm not aware of any add-on for this)
* External process to push a new date into prefs.js, a settings file that stores your header/footer preferences, among others (but Firefox should be closed when you update this file, and it will be read when you restart)

I have check this FM RE_ADD_MONTH_TO_DATE.

But this wrong because i am expecting the last date of the April.

You check in R3...whether you have material data for that month...if yopu have data, in BW, run a repair full request by giving this criteria i.e. month criteria.

How to get the last data point from a TDM file in LabVIEW?

I am using LabVIEW to analyze some rather large TDM files, and I need a way to get only the last data point. So far, the only way I have been able to accomplish this is by reading the entire file. Is there a property in the TDM file or a function in LabVIEW that will allow me to get the index of the last item in a channel?

Do you want to avoid reading whole file and want to be able to reach or get the index of last value of channel? is there any specific reason? I am not sure you could do it without loading the whole file. But the easiest way would be just to use array functions "array size" would give you the index of last element.

Here's a 8i solution :
select add_months(

where rownum <= ( months_between( trunc(to_date('14-04-2011','DD-MM-YYYY'), 'MM'),
                                  trunc(to_date('12-01-2011','DD-MM-YYYY'), 'MM') ) );
The above two query is worked in oracle 11GActually the first query I posted is not correct.
It should work better with
months_between(
   trunc(to_date(:dt_end,'DD-MM-YYYY'),'MM'),
   trunc(to_date(:dt_start,'DD-MM-YYYY'),'MM')

can any body have query to get previous month first date and previous month last date.
Ex: First day of the previous week:
TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_DAY,-6, (TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_DAY, DAYOFWEEK(CURRENT_DATE) *-1,CURRENT_DATE)))
Last day of the previous week:

where date1 and date2 is a java.util.Date Object
will return 0 if it is the same date
or
date1.after(date2)
where date1 and date2 is a java.util.Date Object
will return true if date1 is after date2
(the same for date1.before)
2. How can I change the date format into yyyymmdd format???? I just want the year, month and date.try the java.text.SimpleDateFormat Object
new SimpleDateFormat("yyyymmdd").format(yourdate)

In my JClient form, I tried to get it by using oracle.sql.Date method, that is:
lastday=oracle.sql.Date anydate.lastDayOfMonth();
But it does not work. The result is lastday=anydate.

Calendar c = Calendar.getInstance();
and then something like...
c.add(c.MONTH, 1);
int dayOfMonth = c.get(Calender.MONTH);

Hi Kumar,
I think you can just delete it in the sales order directly, if you are using make-to-order scenario, then there will be special stock left for the sales order as the production has been goods receipt, you need to use MM transaction move the stock to unrestricted use stock. If you are using make-to-stock scenario, there should be no further problem. If you are using assembly order, please try to reject the sales order item to see if it could fullfill your requirement.

How to get both OTF data and spool at a time

Hi Experts,
My requirement is to get both OTF data and spool.
In 'OPEN_FORM' i tried passing itcpo-TDGETOTF = 'X'. itcpo- TDNEWID = 'X'.
I was able to get OTF data but spool is not getting generated.
IF i pass only itcpo- TDNEWID = 'X'. the spool is getting generated but not OTF data.
when both the fields are set i.e. itcpo-TDGETOTF = 'X'. itcpo- TDNEWID = 'X'.
the spool is generation is getting supressed.
Similarly when i tried to get OTF data by passing itcpo-TDGETOTF = 'X'. to 'OPEN_FORM' as i need to convert it to PDF and send it to vendors as email ,
The print preview in TCODE ME23n was not getting generated for 'MESSAGE' option 'External send'.
Please suggest me how to get both OTF data and spool at a time.

This one is similar to my question to print and email invoice at same time. I pass itcpo-tdgetotf = 'X' in order to get otfdata and send email with the attachment of otfdata.
Now I have data in otfdata, but when I call print_otf function, I clear out itcpo-tdgetotf, and passed
itcpo-tddest = device_type but I still get error message said 'Handler not valid for open spool request'.
Can you give me a working example that you have otfdata table and print data from that table. I also post my question on other thread

when fiscal period is greater than 12, only calculate the last day of 12nd month

when you give a particular date in any month
the following fm will give you the last date of that month
here you can give
R_FDATE-HIGH as 01 and month as the period you wnat and year for current year
concatenates '01' month year into r_fdate-high separated by '.'.
then it will give g_ltdt for that month and year which wil be the last date of that month
    CALL FUNCTION 'RP_LAST_DAY_OF_MONTHS'
      EXPORTING
        DAY_IN            = R_FDATE-HIGH
      IMPORTING
        LAST_DAY_OF_MONTH = G_LTDT
      EXCEPTIONS

can any body tell me, how to get the last day of that week ?
