I recomment to create a Query.
A Query can be created in TA SQ01. You have to select the user group for vendors. Check if there already useful infosets for vendors (you can see that on the name). If not, you can create an own infoset with Transaction SQ02. For the vendor open items I recomment to use an infoset based on the logical database KDF.

To Create j2ee apllication
In path new-j2ee-jsp to create JSP's can only be used for J2EE applications.
So as you are using this in Portal Application, this does not work.
You can test this bahavior by creating a new Web Application (New-Project-J2EE-Web Module Project)
In this Web Module Project, try creating JSP, this will work.
So dont use new-j2ee-jsp to create JSP in Portal Application instead use New-File and name the file as jsp.

it is ok for "sys.all_objects" but i need to modify this for all tables
so , i need to know column names of table and type of it and value of it
then i need to get column values by one by and encrypt it.
i used dbms_sql and succeed to find column name and type
however , i couldnt get the values.i can't use dbms_sql.column_values because i find column type dynamically.
what can i do?
how can i get table data by row
and then for each row , i need to get values of columns by one by and encrypt those values.
any idea is appriciated.

Dynamic SQL is the solution. Right from getting the column names, their data types to passing the string to encrypt function that you have.
You will need to handle datatypes like LONG, LOB etc... as they cannot be concatenated with strings.
Also, you need to manage dates and numbers.
Obviously this would be very complicated code.
Even if you decide to code the procedure to encrypt tables one by one, still you need to make this procedure dynamic to handle above situations.

Please try given below steps :
1. Get Field Properties of particular field from Repository schema with the method
getField(java.lang.String tableCode, java.lang.String fieldCode)
2. Type cast this field properties to lookupField properties.
3.Get Lookup Table ID from lookup properties getLookupTableId() method.
for example : ((LookupFieldProperties)currentproperties).getLookupTableId()
4. Get Lookup table code from the Table ID retrieved in step 3.

How to get table having successfully created Vendor's Iban number.

Iam creating vendor using Maintain_Bapi of class VMD_EI_API. While creating bank deatils for some reason bank iban is not populating (when im checking it in XK03) apart from that other bank details are populating. So, how can i check after vendor creation that particular vendor ' s IBAN is created or not.
iam getting input values for vendor bank details i.e IBAN, Bank country key,Bank Key and Bank account from user.
Is ther any function or bapi to check whther Iban is successfully created or not.
Or what is the table storing IBAN for a successfully created/populating vendor.

I check wid everything , the value of IBAN is not coming in VMDS_EI_MAIN-VENDORS (imporing parameter ). Its blank whether value IBAN created or not.Apart from IBAN all other bank details like bank country & bank key are fetched.
Also i think its fetching value from vendor table i.e LFA1. Since this table doesnt have IBAN field so its not showing.Kindly suggest any table from where i could get successfully populated IBAN value for a generated vendor. IS ther ne valid link between TIBAN(general table for IBAN)
and LfA1.

How to get Table Field values during sync from Events like DbSyncProgressEventArgs.

Hi,
I am facing an issue related to Sync. During Sync as some Tables fails to sync, entire Session gets rollback.
Through DbSyncProgressEventArgs or DbApplyingChangesEventArgs, DbChangesSelectedEventArgs or DbChangesAppliedEventArgs, events, i want to find the Field values from that table so that i can identify which raw failed.
For example, for DbSyncProgressEventArgs, we can fetch table using e.TableProgress.TableName. But how can i get fields or Primary key value of that table row which is inserted or updated or deleted.
Please give suggestions on this.

In ECC:
1. goto RSO2 and give datasource name and display, if it is SAP defined datasource it will display some warning message in Status bar, so again press Enter Button and then see teh datasource there you can fine FM, Table/VIiew, InfoSet like that, in this way you can fine, if it is build on Function Module then you need to see that FM and debug and find. For LO dataSources you can fine in LBWE.

How to get table and column names thats being used in SQL , that's generating all my reports on SSRS.

Good day,
I searched through the forum and cant find anything.
I have around 300 published reports on SSRS and we are busy migrating to a new system.
They have already setup their tables on the new system and I need to provide them with a list of table names and column names that are being used currently to generate the 300 reports on SSRS.
We use various tables and databases to generate these reports, and will take me forever to go through each query to get this info.
Is it at all possible to write a query in SQL 2008 that will give me all the table names and columns being used?

There's no straightforward method for that I guess. There are couple of things you can use to get these details
1. query the ReportServer.dbo.Catalog table
for getting details
you may use script below for that

2. Another method is to run the reports and run sql profiler trace on background to retrieve queries used.
But in some of these cases the report might be using a procedure and you will get only procedure. Then its upto you to get the other details from procedure like tables used, columns etc

How to get tables used by a Function Module

How to know the tables used by a function module dynamically.
Cuurently im using BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA in my report program.
I tried FM GET_TABLES to know the tables, but could see only tables used in the report.
Main issue in my case is when im running this update program, could observe different tables being displayed as updated in SM50(Process Overview).Want to clarify as why these tables which are not being used in my report are being displayed in SM50.
So was doubtin weather this FM is using these displayed tables.

Hi Dedeepya,
you could use a SQL Trace (tx. ST05) to list all tables affected and operations that realize. Just active the trace, execute FM, and Deactive trace. Then click in "Display trace" and check it.

From one user, how to get tables names of other user.

hi all,
now i connected to Oracle with one user let us assume 'pavan/pavan'. and i need to get the table names that are in user: pavan and in user: gupta (gupta/gupta).
one way is,
from Java, first get connection to pavan user, execute the query and store the results and disconnect to it and againg connect to user 'gupta', execute the query and add these results to first results.
but this is very expensive and time consuming also.
is there any query to get this one. or need to create 'Database Link' and access through that link.

First you have to grant permission (like SELECT,UPDATE,DELETE....etc..) to PAVAN on objects that are belongs to GUPTA. Then you can make use the GUPTA user objects.
Suppose you connected to PAVAN and you want see the data in table A which exist in GUPTA user.
Connect GUPTA user first and execute following statement
GRANT SELECT,UPDATE,DELETE ON A TO PAVAN;
After executing the above query connect to PAVAN user and execute following statement.
SELECT * FROM GUPTA.A;

How to get table selected row without SelectedRowKeys

and i have few table that contains only 1 and some times 2 rows. When the table loads,
by default, the first row is selected, and i cant call a selection listener (by selecting a row and calling
a function). What i did (and it worked on the past, i don't know why now it doesn't) is:
i removed the "SelectedRowKeys" property, so it will not auto select the 1st row on load,

I finally found the solution, since i don't use the table's property to make a current row, i add it programmatically:

Formatted search - how to get table or form name

Hello,
I'm trying to create a generic query for modifying "Journal Remark" on different documents (Goods receipt, invoices ...) thru a formatted search
My problem is that I want to customize the "remark" according to the current document.
is there a way to get the table name or the form number in a query ? or should I to create a different query for each document ?

Hi....
If you activate the System Information from Menu Bar> View> System Information. Then when you move the cusrsor from any of the document you get some variable values which displays the ID of forms colums and rows.
You can get this information for your FMS. There is no need to create no. of FMS for each Document. Just take the variables into the FMS and apply to the same ID documents.....

How to get table fields programatically?

I am using a table component with associated data provider. In the same form, I need to have a drop down with the values same as the columns/fields of the table. I am looking at the APIs to find a way to access the table fields/columns, so that I can have them in the drop down, but I can't find out.
Please note that I need to access the field names (i.e First_Name, Last_Name, User_Name, etc.) not the field values (i.e Joe, Bloe, jbloe, etc.) If it was field values, there are tons of example out there. Actually, I am trying to build searhing, where users can pick a field from the drop down, and type text to search on that field. See the screenshots here:

I tried this:
tableRowGroup.getSourceData().getFieldKeys()but, the problem is, it gives me the field names, but not the display values. I want to use the display values (i.e Last Name) for dropdown text, and field keys (i.e user_last_name) for dropdown values.
I ended up using this code to get the list of column fileds (field name in database) and the column header (display value in table header):
