How to get the Portal System details?

Hi,
I have a webdynpro application which has links that the user can click and point to various systems. For instance, there is a link for SAP Transaction,. if the user clicks this link, the SAP transaction is opened as a URL.
Among, these: There is a SAP transaction for BEX Analyzer (RRMXP).A transaction iview has been configured for this BEX ANALyser. I have a link to URL UI element defined in my application. All i need now is the system and host details of the Portal system (EP), where this transaction iview has been configured. Which is the best way to get the system/host/port details of Portal System (EP). Im not talking about backend, nor of the WAS, but the system where Iviews are configured?

How to get the Portal Page name from PLSQL?

Can anyone tell me how to get the portal page name from my dynamic page using plsql?
Apparently you can get the page id and work it out from there, but my calls to get the page id are not returning any values anyway.
My code for attempting to get the page id is below.

Few clarifications -
1. wwpro_api_parameters cannot be used to get default portal
page parameters such as '_pageid', '_dad', '_schema' etc.,
2. Page information can be obtained through any components which
are available in that particular page. For example, in case of
dynamic page, we need to publish it as a portlet and add it to the
page. This process creates necessary packages in the DB, but we
will not have access to the portlet methods.
So, I would prefer creating a simple DB provider & portlet and access
page title from its show method as follows -

Secondly, usage of wwpro_api_parameters.get_value method is
incorrect. This method expects two arguments -

<li>p_reference_path : An unique identifier for a portlet instance on the current page.</li>

p_reference_path would be something like 99_SNOOP_PORTLET_76535103 and not some type of path as its name suggests.

How to get the Portal Username to SAP Transaction IView ( ABAP cust repor )

We have an ABAP program that will be exposed in portal as SAP transaction IVIEW. However the username that is being displayed in the report is the username that is defined in SICF > SAP > BC > GUI > ITS > WEBGUI. I tried to remove the username and password defined, changed the procedure to Alternative Logon Procedure and deleted some logon procedure list retained Basic and SSO Authentication but we are getting DDIC username. We have successfully implemented SSO, and it works in Personal Information of Standard ESS. The following are configure in our portal:
1. We have set SSO ticket
2. We are using User Mapping for portal and ABAP System
3. Retain Basic and SSO authentication
what could be the cause why the program (iview) is still getting the user instead of Portal Username? How can we get the portal username for our abap customized report exposed in iview

Make sure that the System you are using to connect to R3 has Log On Method and Authentication Ticket Type properties has SAP LOGON TKT as the value selected.

You can get the details from ADRC table. Please note that the TVST table has got a field ADRNR, pls use the same field in identifying the number and goto ADRC table enter the number under the ADDRNUMBER. It will fetch the address details for you.
For ex from the standard SAP: I have taken std 0001 shipping pt. When I run TVST table for shipping points I get to see that ADRNR field has 297 as the number. I take the same number 297 and goto ADRC table and enter it under ADDRNUMBER and it will give me the address details entered for shipping pt 0001.

Data aquisition board installation,how to get the operation system know that the board exsist and to give it a number?

I'm a green hand on hardware. This question is maybe kind of a silly quetsion.
I already have a data acquisition board installed (built-in) and there is the corresponding program to control it.
Now I need to install another board to the computer, and make the necessary Vi to control the new board. I'm wondering what should be the procedure like? HOW to get the computer know the new board. Should there be any driving program coming along with the hardware. Or the operation system should get to know the existing of the new hardware once it's installed( i mean plug in). What is the model number of the second board? If your existing driver has support for this board (which I'm assuming is a NI board, and it's plug and play), your OS (which I'm assuming is Windows) should recognize it when you start up your computer after installation. You can find out the driver support for your board and OS from the link below. If the installation was successful, you should be able to see the new board in the Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) under "Devices and Interfaces". If you can see the board in MAX, there will be a device number assigned to the board, which you can use in your VI to communicate with it.
If any of the above assumptions is incorrect, please provide some details (i.e. hardware used, driver you currently have installed, OS, and the application you'd like to use this new board for), and we can work from there.

Thanks for your response. As per your advice i tried to open the illustrator cs3 file in text editor. I got only the Thumbnail and Version details. But I am unable to get the remaining below details.
(Preview=>Format : TIFF (8-bit Color), TIFF (Black & White), Transparency=>Overprints : Preserve, Discard, Fonts=>Embed Fonts, Options=>Include Cmyk PostScript in RGB Files, Compatible Gradient and Gradient Mesh Printing, Adobe Postscript=>LanguageLevel2, LanguageLevel3) .

How to display the Portal System ID in a theme or iView?

Hi everyone,
I am trying to figure out a standard way to display the Portal system ID within the portal theme or within an iView. The complaint from users is that, if they are working in both Production and multiple test systems simultaneously, it is very difficult to decipher which system they are actually in.
Does anyone have experience with this previously?

Hello Charles.
A standard way is a modification of the Portal name which is displayed in a title bar of a browser's window. For this you have to edit the Central Configuration:
1. Open System Administration > System Configuration > Service Configuration;
2. In Browse Tab open Portal Runtime > Central Configuration;
3. Locate and modify portal.html.head.title property.
4. Save changes.
5. Restart portal server.

I want to get the last run details of all the program
I would like to give the date as a selection parameter.
It should give tha program names which are all acessed on that date.
where the details like when the program is run at last will be saved.
Is there any file/standard tables contain such details?

SAP CONNECTORS:- Basically Connectors are like middlewares , that we use to connect to the backend system including Non SAP systems also. Will try to explain it to u with some examples of SAP Connectors:-
a) SAP Business Connectors:-
A middleware application based on the B2B integration server from webMethods.
The SAP Business Connector enables both bi-directional synchronous communication and asynchronous communication between SAP applications and SAP and non-SAP applications.
The SAP Business Connector makes all SAP functions that are available via BAPIs or IDocs accessible to business partners over the Internet as an XML-based service.
The SAP Business Connector uses the Internet as a communication platform and XML or HTML as the data format. It integrates non-SAP products by using an open, non-proprietary technology.
b) SAP Java Connector:-
SAP Java Connector (SAP JCo) is a middleware component that enables the development of SAP-compatible components and applications in Java. SAP JCo supports communication with the SAP Server in both directions: inbound calls (Java calls ABAP) and outbound calls (ABAP calls Java).
SAP JCo can be implemented with Desktop applications and with Web server applications.

Generally the trial balance summary report does not fetch the parent account details.
In my customized report , i need to get the detials of the current accounts as well as the details (initial balance,debit,credit ) for a particular period of the parent account as well.

How to get the log on details of users in the given period

I need logon information of portal users, means in a given period i need the information of each user when they loged in and how much time they are in portal and if it is possible whcih application they accessed.
Am trying to get this from Portal Activity Reports but am not gettinig as per my requirment, n it seems to be not possible to customize as per our requirment.

You can also directly query the following Portal database tables,for information on users:
WCR_USERSTAT: Holds information about the number of users who logged on to the portal.
WCR_USERFIRSTLOGON: Holds information about the first logon of each user and how many pages and iViews the user viewed
WCR_USERPAGEUSAGE: Holds information about which users viewed which pages and iViews.

How to get the Country Name details always in Eng while using the SForms

Hi Group,
I have a requirement as under:
the Smartform has to display the COUNTRY NAME - always and it should be printed in ENGLISH only.
The Smartform is having a Alternative option(for printing the Address) and for YES part(for certain countries) - the fm "ADDRESS_INTO_PRINTFORM" is being used and for the NO(for the rest of the countries) part an ADDRESS TEMPLATE is being used....
The issues are:
- the fm 'ADDRESS.......FORM" is printing the COUNTRY Name for certain cases and for the rest it is not...
- the Address template has no option to do any manipulation on the COUNTRY Name to come
how can have the COUNTRY NAME to appear in both the cases(YES part and NO part) printed in ENGLISH always?
I tried for a USEREXIT "EXIT_SAPLSADR_900" but still not able to tweak it and get the COUNTRY NAME always in ENGLISH.
Kindly provide your valuable inputs.
