i want to get this error on my alert log file,
cannot allocate new log,checkpoint not complete.
wt setting shud i do to get this error message in my alert log file.for some testing purpose.

Two methods:
1. Tune the following parameters:
LOG_CHECKPOINT_TIMEOUT=some high value
LOG_CHECKPOINT_INTERVAL=some high value
+ make the redologs very small + run a long transaction.
2. echo "cannot allocate new log,checkpoint not complete" >> alert_sid.log

Try replacing the "html" at the start with "http",
so if you have html://somesite.edu,
change it to http://somesite.edu.

Reboot the TC.. Sometimes you need to reboot the whole network.
This is what comes of Lion and then made worse in Mountain Lion of Apple not spending enough time to fix the bugs.

By internal, I assume you're referring to your systems (boot) drive. Is it, by chance, a partitioned dive?
Also…although many people successfully use their systems drives as scratch disks, over time you'll have better results using a dedicated drive for your media.

Protocol error usually indicates that the very leftmost part of the URL is not recognized.
So http://, ftp://, rtsp://, usually work.
ableton:// would need to be added by some software somewhere...

I have backed up all my photos on the same mac mac book pro . Not only problem burning but now 3 years later when i want to load my back ups from DVD i get this error Error Code 0x80020025
i have gone on other forums and blogs and this seems to be an on going thing . Its about time this was put right and a simple down load or fix was made, as the forums are growing so pick. Scanning through them make me ill.

You need to test your DVD disc in another Mac, as it would seem the code is related to the drive and not the media?

Get a copy of MPEG Streamclip and convert your MPG file to QuickTime/Apple Intermediate Codec (AIC). In FCE, select one of the setups that uses AIC that best matches your clip (say, 1920x1080i60). Create a new sequence, then import the converted file.
Note that if your MPG file is actually MPEG2 you will also need the QuickTime MPEG2 Component in addition to MPEG Streamclip.
What was the source of the MPG file? How about if you open it in QuickTime, then do Window > Show Movie Inspector. Tell us what it says for codec/compression, frame size & frame rate.
