How to "group by" and display in separated table views
What cloud be the approach to the following scenario:
1) A RFC returns a list of lot of invoices.
2 How to group by "customer code" and display in separated table views for each customer "group of invoices" ?
Is there a way to do this using VC or only using WebDynpro ?

you dont hv to do this using dynpro. you can achieve this in vc by using the 'Filter' operator. from the output port of the rfc, feed the results to multiple filters. hv one filter for each segregation (for eg for each customer code). Then feed these filtered entries to the table views.

The requirement is, the user should not be able to append a new Row, unless and untill he enteres the data in the column SOLD-TO. Now how do i acheive making this field madatory. Normally in Edit form view, we can go in customizing and flag Mandatory, for table view we don't have this option.

How do you manipulate and display multiple DAQ channels?
I have two sensors wired into the same DAQ (USB) module. I can monitor the signals in LabView using DAQ Assistant, but I'm having trouble separating the channels. I would like to display the signals on separate waveform charts and also apply different conversion formulas to each one before writing the data to a file. However, I can't find any way to distinguish between the two signals in either of the express VIs for these tasks. I can display both signals simultaneously in one or more charts, but I can't figure out how to make each chart display a different signal. I searched through LabView help and finished the DAQ tutorial, but neither helped with this simple problem. It's very important that I learn to work with multiple channels, because I'll eventually have even more signals coming into this DAQ hardware.

Check out the example called Select Signals.vi. Are you using dynamic data? Go to Help>>Find Examples... and type select as the search word.
Basically you have to index the one that you want using the Select Signal express VI.

How to group data and assign cell names using Excel templates

reading the article "Real Excel Templates 1.5" on the Tim Dexter's Blog, I found that I need hierarchical data for Excel templates. So only in this way I can group my data.
My hierarchy is composed by 3 levels:
lev 1 DESTINATION: is the higher level that groups SERVICES and COUNTRY
lev 2 SERVICES: is the level that groups the countries
lev 3 COUNTRY: is the lowest level with the COUNTRY, CALLS and CALLS_MINUTES details
An example of my hierarchy is this:

Not considering the CALLS and CALLS_MIN details (I focused only on the COUNTRY which is as the same level), with this data template, making tests on my excel template, I noticed that I can group ONLY two nested levels using the format XDO_GROUP_?group_name?

So...I think that the problem is how I choose the excel cells when I assign the XDO_GROUP_?group_name?
Anybody had made some tests, or can help me ???? I'm becoming crazy.....

Another one for getting the information about the particular name. use request.getParamter method in the destination Jsp and do one more DB call by using the input parameter.
Note: This is working only unique Name. otherwise use HashMap for getting the userId and Name. By passing the userId in the backend we can get the information.

I group rows and wantto select the max date row in date column. The other columns can include same data in its rows, thus i wantto select distinct data in the rows. I use the following query, but ir throws the message "ORA-00936: missing expression."

How to filter datas and display in java
Hi guys.
I'm kind of new to Java,
I've have a database where values are stored ,i just have to take one column and i got to filter one value and display all .
is there a command to filter
I just want to do that if that Not wanted value is there to ignore and display the rest of the data in the html when search is called.
i have to do this in the java , not in jsp.
mysql,hibernate,ejb,jsp are being used at my environment.
