How to hide an iView

hi All,
how to hide an iView on a particular page?
I have an iView which when opened up, plays online music..
I would like to hide this particular iView so that when the user goes to the page, the music would be played but  the iView would be hidden

hi senthil and stephen,
I tried the first way, the iView is hidden. then what happened is that the music is not played..so the functionality of the iView is lost.
well the one Stephen was telling, could you be more specific on which length and width you are mentioning....like fixed height, fixed width or something like that......
thanks in advance.

  • How to hide an iView from a User w

    Hello Experts.
Is there any way to hide an iView from some group of people?
Fox example, we have a role (Role A) containing a page containing the iView (Role->Page->iView) and we want to hide this iView for users that don't have some another role or group. Is it possible to hide this iView even for users who have Role A?
    Best regards,
    Timur Semenchuk.

    Hello Timur,
that sounds... complicated. This is probably one of those cases, where a nice drawing or screenshot would help a lot to understand.
Is this homepage already there? Do I understand that correct, that it will contain links in the detailed navigation, that are iviews and those link to documents (in the KM for example) that have infos like pictures etc in them?
And you just want to show those iviews on this start page, if the user has the roles, that are needed to show the content that is displayed AFTER you click on a link in the document in the iview on the start page?
If I understood correctly, why don't you put those start iviews (let's call them like this for now) into the roles, that they should display? This way, only a user that can use the content after the jump can see the start point.
So every iview in the start page is part of one of the roles, that the user has. Or can an iview have content, that leads to different displays, depending on which link/banner he click in the iview content?
Like I said, I wouldn't do this via the PCD permissions. It's not very practical and later on hard to maintain.
    Regards,
    Steffi.

  • How to hide exit button on overview view of adress iview.

    Hello Gurus,
Can anybody suggest me how to hide the exit button on overview page of address iview?
    Thanks,
    Sha

    Hi
    1) If you want the exit button to be hided u can use the following code in doModify as we know this doModify will be called each time the action is performed so when we use this code exit button will be hided all the time.
    Button btn_ui= (button) view.getElement("Button_ID");
    btn_ui.setVisible(WDVisibility.NONE);
    2) if you want to hide only on specific time then better to use the value attribute of type com.sap.ide.webdynpro.uielementdefinitions.Visibility  then bind this to exit button's property--> visibility and in your code wherever required set the visibility.
Ex: value attribute name : va_Exit_Visible
          type : com.sap.ide.webdynpro.uielementdefinitions.Visibility
    wdContext.currentContextElement().setVa_Exit_Visible(WDVisibility.NONE);

  • How to hide the "EXIT" button on the ESS Personal inf. iViews

    Hello,
We are using SAP ECC 6.0 + SAP EP 7.0 + ESS 1.0 (latest Releases).
In the ESS iViews (Java WD) for Personal information (Adresse, Bank, Family, etc. there is the Button "Exit"..
Does any have any Idea where and how to hide this "Exit" Button in the iView/Java-WD?
    Many Thanks,
    Nazih

    Hi Chris,
      thanks for your reply.
If you mean to hide the button using the iView/WD Personalisation by rightclick on the iView in PCD and then Review, well yes i know this and i have tried this already before and we were able to hide some not required input fields in the Webdynpro, but we were not able to find and to hide the "EXIT" Button using the personalisation..!!?? you know why?
Why to hide the Exit button, i will tell you why, in the iView for maintainig the ESS Personal Information -> e.g. Adresse --> Edit Adresse View (Roadmap view No. 2) --> when User click on the Exit Button --> This will open new browser Window with ESS... ---> This second Browser Window (Pop up) would confuse the User, since he already have an opened window, so the Customer mean why open new window, since the user can simply click the Button Back and so his data are also saved..
How can we manage to control the behaviour of the Button, so the iView is closed safety without that new Pop-up windows are opened...
    Many Thanks,
    Nazih

  • How to hide MastHead from iView

    Hi Experts,
I have created linktoURL UI element for WD program1. I am calling WD program2 using linktoURL UI element of WD program1. When I am clinking on the linktoURL UI element, iView of WD program2 gets open successfully. In the iView MastHead (company logo, logoff link, search button, top level navigation etc) is getting displayed. I don't want to display these details. How to do so?
I have set the Launch in new window propert as "Display in seperate headerless portal window" for the iView of WD Program2. However this is not helping.
Can you please let me know how to hide the masthead, company logo, logoff link, search button, top level navigation etc from the iView.
    Regards,
    Gary

    Hi,
If u have set Launch in new window property as "Display in seperate headerless portal window", this should work. Hope you have set the property value for the proper iview.
Also if you are using a link with NavigationTarget as in wdDoModify, append &NavMode=3 at the end of url  as below. This will hide the mast header

  • How to hide iviews based on the user groups?

    Hi,
I have a custom role with workset, page and iviews.
    The page has 5 iviews.
User group1 can see 5 iviews in the page.
Now user group2 wants see only 3 iviews in the page (same role).
Without creating another role for user group2, How can I hide the iviews based on the user group?
    Is this possible?
    Thanks
    Sundar

    Hi Sundar,
I guess to achieve this, you have to set the permissions at iView level.
For this, go to System Admin -> Permissions -> Portal Permissions. Now navigate to your iView using the folder structure, do right-click on the iView and click on Open Permissions.
Search for the particular group and add that and assign the privileges accordingly. You can remove Everyone group from the iView .
Hope this will solve your problem.

what i found is Create sales order button is generated dynamic at runtime , how to hide dynamic generated button.

    Hi,
First you need to figure out where the button is being dynamically generated. Then you can use the enhancement framework to hide the button (Change the visibility of the button) once it is generated. The enhancement framework allows you to add code at certain positions within the application. You will have to find a point after the  button is generated.

  • How can hide the command line of a t.code in the portal

    Dear Experts.
    I have the following doubt:
How can hide the Command Line of a Report that is called with a T.Code in the portal?
    Attach Image:
    [Image T.Code|http://www.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/eab3b6a03c.jpg]
When I created a service using the T.Code SICF for the T.Code , I can hide buttons and the filed command line  using
    ~webgui_simple_toolbar
    ~singletransaction
    ~NOHEADEROKCODE
With notes 1010519, "SAP GUI for HTML: Simplified Title Area Without Menu and OK Code" and 959417.
But the problem is that when I create the service in the T.Code SICF, I also have that create an Iview IAC in the portal.
The Question is : How can hide this fields and buttons if I want Publish the T.code using an Iview Transaction in the portal?
In this moment I have used the two options:
1 option) I created a service using the t.Code SICF for my Transaction and I also created an Iview IAC in the portal for call the service.
    RESULT:
    SAP Web Application Server
             500 Connection timed out
            Error: -5
           Version: 7000
           Component: ICM
           Date/Time: Sat Jun 12 20:26:39 2010
           Module: icxxthr_mt.c
           Line: 2698
           Server: xyxab...
    Error Tag: {-}
Detail: Connection to partner timed out after 60s
    2)  created an Iview Transaction  in the portal and  call my transaction.
    RESULT.
    [Image T.Code|http://www.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/eab3b6a03c.jpg]
But not can hide the field Command Line and other buttons.
I think that the command :
    ~webgui_simple_toolbar
    ~singletransaction
    ~NOHEADEROKCODE
Only can be used if I create a service using the T.Code SICF .
    Best Regards
    Carmen.

    Hi Carmen,
The bottom line is that this cannot be done for transaction iviews without modifying the standard webgui service in SICF, which is probably not a good idea (since it affects everyone using SAP GUI for HTML). (You could hack the appintegrator to add the ~webgui_simple_toolbar parameter to the transaction URL template in the portal, but again its not a recommended thing to do ...). Better to create an IAC service in SICF with ~webgui=1 where you set the required appearance using an appropriate value for ~webgui_simple_toolbar, and then create an IAC iview to point at this service.
You can even override the ~transaction value configured in the new service in individual IAC iviews by entering the appropriate value in the application parameter of the iview, for example:
    ~okcode=/nSU01
And you can pass parameters in the same way:
    ~okcode=/nSU01 USR02-BNAME=xyz;USREFUS-USERALIAS=abc;
By the way, it would not be recommended to create a URL iview to access an IAC, since you are likely to encounter session management issues in this scenario - better to use an IAC iview.

  • How to hide display details in sap gui and create ad-hoc request in UWL?

    Hi,
how to hide display "details in sap gui" and "create ad-hoc request" in UWL?
Please telme the step-by-step procedure to hide "details in sap gui" and "create ad-hoc request".
    Thanks,
    Rashmi

    Hi,
Thanks for the information. It was very helpfull.
Can you please tellme where can we fine UWL iView? I tried to find this out in two ways.
    1) Portal Content -> Content Provided by SAP -> End User Content -> Standard Portal Users -> Views -> com.sap.coll.iviews -> Universal Worklist (finally i got this iView). Here i dint find any property called "List of UWL Actions to exclude". In the link which you had given, its written that we can modify the iView and add the name of the actions under the Actions to exclude from the UWL property.
Which iView do we need to modify and where can i find that property?
    2) I downloaded the xml file and then tried to find this property "List of UWL Actions to exclude" or " Actions to exclude from the UW". But i couldnt find both the properties in xml file.
    Thanks,

  • How to make an iview in a page programmatorically  (in)visible

    Hi All,
Does somone know how the code to set an iview in a page visibe/invisible.
(like you can do it manually)
I do not want to remove the iview and then add the iview again,
Thanks to help me out on this one,
    Nicolas

    Hi,
Thanks for your answer, but I already found this on SDN.
But I think it does not fit my needs. (hiding or unhiding it is not depending on roles or language or any other parameter)
This is the scenario I want to do.
I have made webdynpro banner with a message.
At certain moments in time this banner should appear iin the portal.
Because the team that  decides if the banner should be visible or not, has no portal knowledge. So I want it to make easy for them
I want to program another webdynpro, where they can decide to show the banner or not. (and tthey can also give the banner text in).
So I just want to know how to hide programmatorically an iview in page.

  • How to hide scroll bar

    Hi everyone,
when i display iviews on the page it should not show me the scroll bar.
how to hide the scroll bar in iview.

    Hi Sonal,
You can try this, create a JSPDynpage to display your Iviews as Iframes ( disable the scrolling mode in Iframes), in the imgsrc attribute of Iframe give the URL path of ur Iviews to be displayed.(if two iviews put it as two iframes)
Regarding the gap between Iframes or design of the JSP page you can handle it thro Htmlb or even html tags.Upload the Par in the portal, create a new iview out of it (it will not have scrolling mode and your design can be established) Now add this Iview to a page.
    Hope it helps.
