How to hire applicant as employee

This may sound simple but I am struggling a little bit.
( Unfortunately working as a tech support guy means very limited knowledge of functional steps.)
I have created an applicant (on a test system) and trying to hire that person as employee, how do I do that in 11.5.10.2 in UK HRMS?
Please suggest.
Additional info: When I go to the applicant screen, his details are greyed out, cant make any changes :-(

Hi,
If you have created Applicant record today only (effective date) you would be able to hire the applicant from tomorrow ondards only.
So if thi is the case. Please navigate to UK HRMS Manager --> People --> Enater and maintain --> Search the applicant
Change the effective date to (4th may) --> Now click on the Action(right upper corner on the screen) and selce Hire Applicant --> Save the work.
P:- to hire applicant as an employee applicant status should be Accepted, if this is not the case. Please change the status of the applicant to Accepted. Follows the navigation : UK HRMS Manger --> people --> Enter and maintain --> Search Applicant --> Click Other --> Application --> change the status to Accepted.

    We are using ukhrms.
    i have a situation where by employees in our company are delayed by HR to do the entries because of the delay in the employee's medical report from the clinic.
    Following is the case:
    employee joins on calendar month Jan 2010 and he is not processed in the monthly payroll for JAN 2010. When Calendar month Feb 2010 comes, the payroll user opens the pay period for JAN 2010 and the system is date tracked back to 01-jan-2010 and the employee(s) is/are created in the system. The reason of doing this is to avoid delay in the annual bonus to be paid to the employee by for example 1 month.
    Q1) how can we pay such employee in February 2010?
    Now, another concern is if we do as above mentioned then when the company issues Arrears to employees (i.e. every 6months or 8 months) from JAN 2010 to JUNE 2010
    Q2) how will the system get the arrears for the Jan 2010 payroll that was not processed for the late hires that were done in calendar month FEB 2010 by date tracking to 01-JAN-2010?

    Follow the below steps.
    1. Create an assignment status mapped to active assignment, payroll process to do not process -> lets say "my status".
    2. Create the employee in January (the policy should be changed to create employee in the same month itself i.e. January in the current example) with Assignment status "my status".
    3. Run Payroll for January. Since the assignment status has payroll process flagged to do not process, the employee is not paid in January.
    4. In February, update employee's assignment status to Active Assignment from January (Date track to January).
    5. Run Retropay by Element for Employee (Include Employee in assignment set) with start date = January and End Date = February. Arrears Element entries for January are created in February.
    6. Run Payroll for February. Employee is paid with February and January arrears.

  • Pass by Screens during Transfer the Applicant to Employee

    Dear Gurus;
    While transferring the Applicant's master data from the applicant's database to the employee's one the Icons "Next" or "Previous" are dimmed is there a way to make them appear?

    In PB40 run the action prepare for hiring... Only applicants with overall status 2(To be hired) can be transferd to PA.
    Use the hire applicant action in PA40.

  • How can I book an employee for a training program from PD?

    HI One and All,
    Hope all of you Doing well...
    I configured Personal Development and Training Event Management.
    When I go for Profile Match-up, I found that One employee is lack-off some skills. I have a training program to fill those skills. How can I book that employee for training program from Pofile match-up screen?
    Or is there any other way to book an employee for a training program from PD?

    Thanks for your response, I check the option Generate training Praposals before running the profile match-up. I have created one training Event type (D) and i assigned qualification through A-028 relation.
    Here one employee is lack of MS Office excellent skills for Assistant Manager position, I created Training Event (D) called MS Office training and assigned the qualification for this training program.
    when I run profile match-up I got an Icon Training praposal (Tree symbol).
    and also I have a column called Training , but it is blank.
    I want to book that employee for that training progam (MS offcie training program), from Profile match-up screen.
    I have selected the employee and I click on the Icon called Further Training. But the message is like Choose a valid line.
    How can I send employee for MS Office training from profile match-up screen?
    Please guide me...

  • How to avoid the "Enter Employee Responsible" error in an Opportunity

    Hi CRM gurus,
    My employer wants me to create a custom Lead Type (and an Opportunity Type) which will look just like the SAP default Lead (and Opportunity Type respectively), except that he wants a custom Partner Function called "Sales Person" instead of the two default Partner Functions "Sales Representative" and "Employee Responsible".
    So, I made a copy of the PF "Employee Responsible" and named it as "Sales Person". I made a copy of the Partner Determination Procedure for both Lead and Opportunity Transactions. Deleted the PFs "Sales Representative" and "Employee Responsible", and added the PF "Sales Person". I made a copy of the Lead and Opportunity Transaction Types, and assigned the appropriate PF Determination Procedures. I got the Access Sequence and the Partner Determination Procedure right (checked it by clicking the button "Check Part. Determ. Proc"). I did all the miscelleneous minor changes that need to be done.
    Now, when I create a Lead, and then create an Opportunity as a follow up document, and add a Product to this and try saving the Opportunity, I get an error message saying "Enter Employee Responsible".
    It seems that the PF "Employee Responsible" is a required field in the SAP default Opportunity, but how can I avoid that in my custom Opportunity?
    Even if we try to avoid this PF now, does it have any repercussions in the follow-up documents that get generated from this transaction (like Sales Quotation, Sales Order etc) or in any other way. How important is the PF "Employee Responsible", or better, what's the significance of this PF in the Opportunity transaction?

    I have set the configuration "Only Functions Assigned to procedure" for the Permitted Functions in the Partner Determination Procedure. Hence, I do not have an additional "Employee Responsible" Partner Function in my list. This is to not permit the end-user to use other Partner Functions besides the mentioned here. The client wants to make this as simple as possible without giving too many options to the end-user (sales folks).
    However, I will temporarily set this field to "All defined Partner Functions" and, enter a BP for Employee Responsible and let ytou know what I see.

    We are Implementing HRMS Suite Version12i, for one of the Client in Middle east.
    One question about Custom Person Numbering.
    How to create custom employee numbering Based on the User Person Type?
    Example:
    Two person types
    o Permanent Employee
    o Probationary employees
    We Need to give two different numbering schemes for each person type.
    eg Permanent Employee will use a seq begin 100000 whereas Probationary employees (other user type) will use a sequence beginning 200000.. Can any pls let me know how to handle the Custom Employee Number Generation (with Setups)

    Hi,
    Pc00_M40_calc though you can do the live run then
    go PC00_m99_CWTR here you can select the payroll period button
    There you can give the payroll area and selection periods.
    Then you can give the  company code, and what ever you can personnel area wise and all.
    Below that screen you need to select the Lay out variant.
    Then you can execute that report.
    Then you will get the wage types and the amount.

  • Trigger Workflow in HRMS whenever Hire Applicant function is used.

    I want to send a notification whenever a Applicant is hired using the "Hire Applicant" function on the People form.
    1) If I create a custom workflow to send this notification. What is the best way to trigger this workflow? Are there any pre-defined business events which I can use?
    2) Can I customize any seeded workflow delivered by Oracle HRMS and achieve the functionality mentioned above?

    There are two reason why we want to use workflow
    1) We need to send notifications not email and I believe Oracle Alerts does not support notifications.
    2) Oracle Alerts is supposedly going to be de-supported by Oracle in near future.

    When I purchased my iPad, I learned that I have employee dicusount with Apple products, Since I purchased iPad from applie site I was able to automatically apply that credit to my purchase.
    I recenlty purchased iPhone5 from ATT store front. (Have not arrived yet.) - How can I clam my employee dicount for this purchase. I think it was $10.00 discount for my iPad.

    I am working on ABAP-HR object.
    I want to know whether taken employee, which can be given thru falt file, is eligible for which kind of bonuses.
    I hope certain employees are eligible for certain kinds of bonuses like some are for sale bonuses and some are for performance bonuses and some for LTI's etc.

    Transaction code <b>"PA40"</b> is OK to handle "Actions" about the personnel for isolated entries.
    However if you want to use BDC for bulk data transfer, then use <b>"PA30"</b> to record your transaction and build your BDC data. That's because handling <b>"PA40"</b> screen is somehow less suitable since it depends on customizations and is out of screen if there are too much action types.
    To trigger an action through <b>"PA30"</b> is achieved by entering "<b>0000"</b> to the infotype field and the <b>action type value ("massn")</b> for the subtype field and pressing  <b>"Create"</b> button. This will be better for BDC.
    <b><u>About the BAPI:</u></b>
    I didn't try before but you may use the Business Object <b>"HRMasterDataReplica"</b>. It has one class method as <b>"SaveReplicaMultiple"</b> which has an import parameter <b>"EmployeePersonnelAction"</b> for the infotype 0000, <b>"EmployeeOrgAssignment</b>" for the infotype 0001 and
    <b>"EmployeePersonalData</b>" for the infotype 0002.
    In addition to standard BAPI parameters, at least these three parameters must be filled to create an employee. To trigger other actions you can use the one for "0000".
    I would like to learn whether you tried this and achieved. <i>However, it will be the most classical way to use BDC</i>.

    I was trying to use the Manager Self-Service -> Applicant Hire function.
    I created a requisition in Core Apps using the Business Group Name HR Set Up -> Recruitment - > Requisition and Vacancy form.
    I then created a vacancy against the requisition.
    I then created a applicant against that vacancy.
    I then went into the Self Service function Applicant Hire from the Manager Self-Service responsibility and tried searching by applicant no, last etc. But no results came up.
    Any idea why the applicant is not comping up in the search ?

    If Rashmi only has this on paper, then it has to be entered into the file anyway.
    Might as well use PA20 for 24 employees. I don't see the scalability yet for invoking a migration procedure?
    Regarding "rude earlier", I think this HCM forum needs stricter moderation and you just happened to catch me at the top of the stack after reading some of the other "link-farms" and "ponits-hunting" advice.
    No offense intended, but when people are discouraged from searching themselves and then asking more specific (and better) questions, then they become lazy.

    Without going in to PA48 manually? can we do it automated?
    Here my both systems ie e-recruiting and sap (hr-master system)  are isolated.

    Hello Krishna,
    let's assume you can process the hiring action with the information e-recruiting is handing to the HR system. I'd probably do it the following way (might be a bit oldschool but should work).
    PA48 is nothing else than another entry to hr actions. So you could start recording a hiring action as batch input and fill in all fields you have from T752F easily by doing PA30.
    When you have the batch you just take the coding as base for a report which reads T752F and gets all information to a employee Id. With this information you build a batch input table and then call PA30 and pass the batch input table which should process the complete hiring without screen interaction. After the call returns to your program you delete the datasets from T752F. Do this in a loop for all numbers.
    You can even run different actions for hiring and org. change as you can check if the employee Id from the table already exists.
    Plan the report as batch job and it should do what you want.
    If you do not want to start delayed via batch job you could make a workflow on completing the data transfer or any other manuel activity. The workflow would call a function module via rfc, hand the data from e-recruiting to the function module which basically does the same as the report for the single candidate. The workflow would be triggered by just setting the activity to completed, the table T752F would not be used.
    This solution might be not the most elegant but should work, assuming you have all needed data of course. In my field of work this would not work as e-recruiting does not supply enough data to process the hiring action, so an admin has to do it via PA48 and add everything needed.
