How to "hover" over a smiley / emoticon to determine its name
I have recently been transitioned from my Torch to the Z30. I'll spare my comments on the various frustrations. However, one minor item I haven't found an answer to is how to determine the name of a smiley / emoticon in BBM before inserting it. Previously, with the torch, I could scroll through the emoticons before selecting one. While scrolling, the name of the current emoticon would display without it having to be selected.
I can't figure out how to determine the name of an emoticon on my Z30, whether or not I have selected it. I can hit the backspace once I've selected/inserted it, which will give me the text representation, but that doesn't tell me, for example, what "=]Y" means. How do I determine the name of a smiley before inserting it so that I don't inadvertently pick the wrong one?
If I understood the question, you are talking about migrating Active Directory. After checking your event viewer and keep your old "primary" DC running without problems, all you need is to:

Well, thank you. I am only using Find dialog box. By "name", I'd like to give an example. The background is FM 11 structured. I have an element "xref" which is used to make cross reference. Now In Chapter 1, there is a sentence like "This is an ODU for ...". I made a cross ref of the word "ODU" to its full name "outdoor unit" in Chapter 2 (in the same book). After this, the word "ODU" in the sentence in Chapter 1 will no longer be a plain text. So I no longer can use the find dialog box to search for "ODU" because it is already an xref rather than text. I am not if it's clear.

When the iPhone language is set to English, or Spanish, the app name is displayed correctly, but for Chinese Simplifled it reverts back to displaying the English name.

I accidentally quit my CC on my Macbook pro and now the cloud icon is grayed out and every time I hover over it with the mouse I get the spinning beach ball of death on the icon. I have no idea how to open it because when I use spotlight search to open it it gives me a message saying "Creative Cloud is not open anymore" help!
Since you didn't include any pertinent info such as the Mac model and OS version you are running, here is some general information:
Mac OS X: Gray screen appears during startup
Depending on which OS yours came with originally - and which OS you are now running - you would either need your original install disks - you can call Apple for replacements by giving them your serial number. Or you may be able to reinstall the OS by using recovery (again, depends on which model/which OS). -
My link preview has disappeared from the bottom left of the page (it no longer pops up when I hover over a link.) Thoughts on how to get it back? I really LIKE having it!
It is possible that the screen is too high and that the scroll bar and the find bar and add-on bar fall off at the bottom.
If that works then close Firefox (File > Exit/Quit) to save that setting.

I was told that you have to have a description for images, links just about everything. But when I preview my website and hover over the links, a yellow box appears with the description of the images. How do I hide this?
You are previewing with an old (very old?) version of IE, which is the only browser on earth that does what you describe. All other browsers play by the rules and leave the alt attribute values alone (which is what they should do).
You can choose to ignore this, or 'kill' it by adding a title attribute that is empty, e.g.,
<img alt="foo" title=""...
By the way, you add alt attributes to images for accessibility reasons. People who browse with images turned off (and there are some) or people who use screen assistive devices (screenreaders) need some indication that there is an image at the point where they are looking/reading. Consequently, you would only want to add content to these alt attributes where it's important to the message of the page (i.e., a cosmetic-only image would just have an empty alt attribute value). And you only need these for images, not for any other page element.... -
How do I Show date and time when I hover over clip like in iMovie
How do I get FCPX 10.6 to show date and time when I hover over a clip? I can so it in I movie and as I move over my clips the date/time is shown. I need it for that specific point in the clip not just the record start time.
I realize that my needs are outside of the normal editing workflow. I am a private investigator and last week I shot over 6 hours of surveillance video on a Sony video camera. Within this 6 hours of video there is at most 2 minutes of actual footage of my subject. So what I wanted to do was just import the parts of the clip I want, so I can avoid importing the whole 6 hours, and then add a text title of some sort that shows the date/time. My problem is that once I get this clip I have easy way of establising the TOD short of taking the clip capture time and then counting up using the SMTPE Timecode. In this regard iMovie makes it easier because I can just hover over the clip and see the TOD of that specific frame. iMovie on the other hand would force me to import the whole 6 hour video so i'm left moving between both programs which is less than ideal.

imbriggyI think this would pose a major usability issue for touch screen devices that have no mouse and thus don't respond to mouseover/hover. In that sense, OnClick is much more reliable. But to answer your question, you would need to invoke the event with JavaScript.

How do I show multiple images when I hover over different areas with the MouseOver function?
I’ve been working on a flash simulator to show what our Expert Range Finder binocular product would look like. The idea is to hover over an area, or image and it show the range or how far the object is from you.
I have been successful in making it work with the following code below. Yet I cannot add several "range" images (or symbols) when I hover over a certain area. Can someone help me with the code? I looked for hours on the internet and I cannot get it to work. I am new to Flash but am starting to learn as much as I can. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

If you look at the picture, the text shows up in the "tfield" yet there is a weird symbol after "37Y" that I cannot get rid of. In the code I erased in line 29 " + " zone" " Is that the reason why it is showing a weid symbol?

The trouble may have started when you downloaded and ran an application called "MPlayerX." That's the name of a legitimate free movie player, but the name is also used fraudulently to distribute VSearch. This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. I'm a gamer and I play in windowed mode, and every now and then this gets in my way of playing. It's super annoying and I have to either close out Firefox or move my taskbar to the top, which isn't optimal.
I'd like to be able to play in windowed mode, with a browser open if I so need, without accidently hovering over it and causing this stupid tooltip to block the spells I need to use.

All other taskbar icons have the registry edit that extends hover time so that I have to hover for a long time for it to display, so it's fine.

Wade, it hit me when you asked "why is it a png" file and I realized that I was using the wrong file. Sometimes its hard to see the forest for the trees! Problem for banner artwork fixed and I have now used the correct logo file so no more dotted line.
The dotted line only appears on the the png version of the logo. There's no coloured background on the logo file. She gave me the file as both an eps and a png file. I'm pretty sure she created the logo in Illustrator. I've been using the png file for the website, which is what I thought it worked well for. And the eps one for my print materials.
I have no clue why I grabbed the png instead of the eps logo file I usually use, but thanks for pointing out the obvious since I wasted time trying to fix it and was getting very frustrated at what had suddenly gone "wrong".
I still have that dotted line on the png file of the logo but I'll have to figure that out another day.

How do i hover over a word and have an arrow appear an point at a picture?
Im doing a flash project for school and i need help!
I have a picture of a Lacrosse field on the stage, below the picture i have a list of words that describe the main features of the lacrosse feild. eg Goals, crease, endline etc.
I want to be able to hover over those words and have an arrow come up and point to them on the picture of the field!

thanks for your help.I don't know why your field image would disappear... it should have no relationship to the buttons. If you want to be able to click on the words as well as hover them to have the arrows appear, then have the arrows in both the Over and Down frames of the button.
Your best bet is to create the buttons out of the words first, then position them where you want the words to be, and then add/move the arrows where they need to point to for each button. If you edit the buttons on the stage (doubleclick to edit them), you can see the rest of the stage content in the background, which will help you line up the arrows.
You can also add a rectangle that covers the word in the Hit frame. This will not appear at all in the movie but expands the button hovering area so that you don't have to hover exactly over the parts of the letters. -
When I hover over a persons name, a pop up of their homepage appears and takes up much of my screen, I DONT LIKE THIS
Please also check on why there might be multiple plugins of different versions installed in this version.
