How to implement approval on password reset from OIM 9.1

I am having an requirement where i need to implement Manager Approval on user's every password reset from OIM 9.1.02.
Please help me out with your suggestions.

The thread was help full rajiv but i am still having some issue in the approch to follow:
As per the thread we cannot use the Entity Adapter because:
If you are thinking of using Entity Adapter on User form then it is not possible because whenever you change any value on User form, that will be updated in USR table without any Approval.
So, if we go with the below appoach:
*Event Handler Way:*
Create Event Handler.
You'll get OLD and NEW Values of that field.
Capture those values and raise request for thsi Dummy RO with your code
And use Error Handler to show Custom Message to Administrator that "Request Has Been Initiated for User Profile Modification".
but i am having below doubts:
1. If we are not having the Entiry Adapter then where we will do the mapping of fields that have been taken n the adapter?
2. And how can i get the old value of the filed?

We are on 11.5.10,
We have implemented functionality of subject mentioned by following steps of document 399766.1
After updating profile, system show link of "Forgot your password?" on Loing Page.
When user click on this link system open another page which require username of forgotten password by submit button.
User get notification on emial whether you want to approval or reject, if user approve then system just open another emial window and noting to be done.
How can approve link send rest password notification to user. ( i tried to change inbound setting to 1 (804433.1) but system not allowing and raising an error on field "inbound server name" that unable to make network connection)

You can't get it reset; if you could there would be no point in having it. If you have an encrypted backup there are two ways this could have happened:
You checked "Encrypt Backup" in iTunes at some time in the past, either intentionally or by accident

Old IMAC with 10.5.6 OSX. Forgot Administrator password. Started up from OSX install disc 1 and selected password reset from utilies in Installer. But HD icon doesn't show up. (Only install disc and admin root available:no good). What can I do?

Not familiar with that version of OS X but try using Terminal and type in resetpassword. If that brings up a password reset screen is your original username shown?

How to call an external web service from OIM?

I have a question on how to call an external web service from OIM within e.g. creating user process? How should it be done; through adapter and task in the process?

it is not clear to me if you are having problems with calling java code from OIM or if the problem is the web service API.
Lets do some divide and conquer:
Can you create a simple java class that just writes a couple of lines to the log? Please attach this code to the OIM task and make sure it runs.
Once this works we can start looking at the web service call.

Like title says I never got any email when resetting my password. I did this account to write this message, because I want my old account back. This accounts password is 0000. Hello,
I heard back from Oracle and this is what they suggested.
One of the option is to use VB script to create contact in AD. We will have to install remote manager to invoke the VB script from OIM.
The Remote manager is part of OIM and is often used to invoke scripts such as vbscripts and or powershell scripts.
An example of using OIM remote manager is to via scripts, create users in a non domain machine - for example NT machines.

Password Reset From Installation DVD, Is This Secure?

So one of my customers is looking into purchasing a few macbook pros. I just bought a 13 inch (mid 2009). I recently discovered that I can reset my root and admin account passwords all by inserting my install dvd.
Is there a way to prevent passwords from being able to be reset using the install dvd? Or by any other reasonably simple method.
It seems extremely insecure to have laptops that can be stolen or misplaced and all that needs to be done to access the data is to insert a common dvd disk.
Am I looking at this wrong? This is just my first impression, I would love to learn how to look at this issue properly.

Password reset from Install DVD does not work

After a system failure, I got the gray screen with the question mark. I restarted from an external drive, and, from "Disk Utility" I ran both "disk repair" and "permissions repair" to the internal drive. There were several errors, but all were repaired. When I restarted from the internal drive I was asked for a user id and a password. I entered them, but were refused. Then, I followed the steps indicated in "Mac OS X: Changing or resetting an account password" in this forum: I started from the install DVD, changed the password, and restarted, but the system refuses my user and password, (the window shakes and blanks out the password field). I have repeated all the steps several times, but the system keeps refusing my login. When I start from the external drive I can see all my documents, files, folders, image, etc, in the internal disk.
I will appreciate any sugestions in order to solve this problem. Thanks a lot.

Hi, glad to know that your LaCie HD is OK. now if you follow the instructions for Silverkeeper, you will find that it will give you an option to copy your LaCie HD clone to your Mac's internal drive. I don't have Silverkeeper, so any info. I give is from the link I gave to you earlier.
This part in particular ..
Drag the volume icon for the drive you have started from to the Source field of SilverKeeper.
Drag the volume icon for the drive your wish to clone to, to the Destination field.
"Save SilverKeeper settings.
Click Go, and wait until completion.
When Backup is complete, quit SilverKeeper.
Restart your Mac; don't press any keys; you should restart to your normal, original startup drive; if >there is a login prompt, login to account that has Admin privileges
Open System Preferences - select Startup Drive control preference.
Select the backup drive as the startup drive.
Restart your Mac; you should then startup just as if you had started up from the original, but it >should be your backup drive. You should not be prompted for any OS X registration.

When you have done this you will have an exact copy of your LaCie HD on your computer. Nothing else needs to be done after this - you just use your Mac!

I need a password reset from a VERY old defunct email address

I am trying to play tracks from my library.
Itune sis asking for a password inorder to authorise this PC to play the tracks.
The account names that appear are old ones that I do not have access to their linked email accounts & I cannnot seem to get thru the DoB section of iForgot even when i enter the birthdays of everyone i know.
I have given up on Itunes support as I get a different person with a different interpretaion of my requirements each time.
This problem has arisen because Ive had my whole library trasferred to an ext hard drive, This should not pose any problems, and in the main has been quite straightforward, except for about 30% of my library that was purchased a long time ago with account names that my wife and i were using.
I know what the account names are as Itunes shows them in the prompt that asks for the passwords.
P L E A S E let there be somenbody out there who can help or even tell me how to phrase my predicament to apple so I can listening.

How can I stop itunes password box from constantly popping up after ios 7 update?

After ios7 update I am CONSTANTLY interrupted with the itunes pop up box for me to enter my password as if Im making a purchase when Im not. When I unlock my phone it pops up. When Im in the middle of playing a game it repeatedly happens. When Im on a social network it happens. If Im on a phone call it happens. If Im listening to my music Ive purchased through itunes it does it a lot! I can not figure out how to make it stop. I tried entering my password just to see if it would stop but it didnt. Its driving me crazy! How do I fix it?!?!

No one has any advice?! Im begging! Its literally abt to make me take a sledgehammer to my phone! Lol

How to implement Approval hierarchy for Sales Order in Order Management.

We need approval process for sale orders in Order Management module. Currently we are using credit HOLD option for orders at shipping level. The issue we are facing now is we can not cancel those orders who contains Service Line item in it while on HOLD. The restriction raised at the time of cancelling the order that the Line Item is "fulfilled". Service line item's get fulfilled.
Is that any other possibility to have Approval hierarchy for Sales Orders in Order Management Module? If it is possible can anybody share the related document or implementation guide?

I copied the standard order header workflow and the "Book Order, Manual" workflow to custom workflows. I then modified the "Book Order, Manual" workflow to put another completely custom workflow (call this "Approvals") in between the "Book Eligible" and "Book" steps.
The "Approvals" step assessed the sales order, changed the order header to the pending approval flow_status_code, and sent out the appropriate notifications. The "Approvals" step returned a Complete/Incomplete where complete would proceed to "Book" and incomplete would go back to "Book Eligible." The new workflow was then assigned to the order type needed. I don't still have access to that environment (job change) or I would give more definite instructions.

How do I turn off password resets

I'm a little frustrated - there are periods of time when i'm not logging into my formcentral account, and, when I go to log in with the correct credentials, Adobe is doing me the "service" of resetting my password for me. Which is great, except, it's forcing me to come up with a unique password. I have too many passwords already & would really rather keep the password I chose initially for this application, which was six or so passwords ago
Is there a way to disable this "helpful", but completely unwanted feature?

As "Trampsteamer" notes the recent change was necessary due to a security breach and was the only time in the past few years we've forced users to change their AdobeID password.
This isn't something we do often and this was the only time I can recall.
There is no way to control this on your end.
