Can anyone please help to know how to increase http request header size in 10.3. IN tomcat its in server.xml as below

Can anyone please tell me the equivalent in weblogic 10.3.. My app is failing with the error as " header size is too large" . pls help.

sorry, search results does not seem to be helpful. We are getting a header in request which is of the size 4kb, not sure how to support this in weblogic.

I have a scenario where OSB proxy service accptes the payload and routes to the target service
and before routing, I'm generating UUId and inserting in to the request header and publishing the request payload along with UUID to another service.
when the target service is thrown some business fault,i need to publish the fault along with the header(which has UUID).since my target service sends only fault body,header is getting emptied in the error hanlder section.
How can I use the requestheader in the error handler section. Any help is highly appreciated.

Just assign your request header ($header) to your variable (e.g. $myRequestHeader) and than use this variable in your error handler. Fault response will override your $header but can't override $myRequestHeader.

Add cookie to HTTP request header when calling web service

I'm trying to call web service using JDeveloper 11g. I successfully generated web service proxy from WSDL document. I can successfully call this particular web service's method "login" which returns "session_id", which then needs to be inserted as a cookie in the HTTP request header in later calls to other methods. This is how the HTTP request header should look like:

The header is "accept-language"
You can get it via
request.getHeader("accept-language");
You can use request.getHeaderNames() to give you an enumeration of all the headers sent by the browser, so you can see them and the values.
Here is an extract from a test page I use every once in a while that prints out useful information. This bit prints out request headers (using JSTL)
You can just drop it into a jsp page (don't forget to import the JSTL tag library) and it will show you all the request headers.

How to Increase width of heading in search help list?

Hi..all..
I have created a search help exit with 7 fields in the output list.
When I view the search help in the webdynpro screen, iam
not able to view the result fully.,ie. the results are crumbled. the headings and data
are not displayed fully.
For eg:
For DIVISION(Field - SPART) it displays heading as 'DI'.
But, I have maintained 'Short,long and medium text as DIVISION.
The output list, tries to accomodate all the 7 fields, so as result, datas as well as
headings are crumbled together. I am not able to drag the headings, as we do in normal R/3.
This problem does not come, when we try to display limited fields in list output. say, if
I display 3 to 4 fields, it displays full data with headings properly.
So How can i increase the heading length,.
Is there any lenth restriction for field display in F4 help result list?

SPART field refers to actual division value in SAP r/3. For ex: in a sales area my division is '00' which is of two characters. Try changing your Actual value to some character type and see.

Hi Ravikumar,
As Sukanta has suggested create a Simpletype of String Type and Length 40.
Then create a context for the column header and for its type, instead of choosing
from the drop down, choose the 3 dots.
In the window that appears, select Local Dictionary, and Select the Simpletype
that you have created, from the respective package name. And click OK.
This will make the text of ColumnHeader of type String and Length 40.

How can I access parameters passed on the client request header like
http://localhost:8080/servlet/DBServlet?database=mydatabase
from the servlet initialization method ini()
The getInitParameter() only returns parameters defined in the web.xml file (if is this correct).
I would like to use the getParameter() from the request class, how can I do this within init()

from the servlet initialization method ini()You can not. As you pointed out, the init() method is for servlet initialization - it is called by the container to allow the servlet to prepare to receive requests, which are then passed to the service() method.
The getInitParameter() only returns parameters defined
in the web.xml file (if is this correct). That is correct - parameters can be defined in the deployment descriptor in either the <servlet> level (passed to the servlet in ServletConfig), or the <webapp> level (passed to the entire webapp in ServletContext).

How to increase the number of rows in Status Oveview iView in MSS?

Hi
We have implemented MSS and have a question regarding Status overview iview.
The standard status overview iview of the team workset has 5 rows and we have to scroll using the arrow buttons to select/view a request.
Now can anyone explain me how to increase the number of rows in this iview? Is this somthing that has to be accoplished through web dynpro customization?
I checked the options in iView property and do not see any option to increase the number of rows.
please help

Well, I am not really sure, if you could accomplish this using customizing, but I am sure that you can accomplish this using the JDI. Well, you can extract the application's source code using JDI and then change the required display rows property and republish it.
Am not really sure if this is suggestable method for this requirement,but it can be achieved using this JDI stuff.

How to increase the waiting time for response in Adapter Engine not in IE

Hi Experts,
It is a SOAP to Proxy Synchronous interface. SOAP system is sending the request to PI, PI sending the same request to ECC system, After execution of some logic response back to PI in 7 minutes. In ABAP Stack(sxmb_moni) processing the response message also successfully with success flag after completion of these 7 minutes. But exactly 5 minutes later getting the error at Java Stack RWB- in communication channel monitoring i.e
com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessageExpiredException: Message bd2bf8d0-b2c2-11e0-c383-001cc4fb5cb7(OUTBOUND) expired. We have set the "runtime-HTTP_TIMEOUT" parameter as 3600. thats why in Integration engine it is processing successfully.
kindly suggest me how to increase the waiting time for response in Adapter Engine. Exactly after 5 mins getting the above error in rwb, but in Integration Engine getting successful flag after 7 mins until then it is waiting for response with status flag Log version.
