How to install a table in Report Writer

Thank you! I know transaction GR21 and I'm able to create a new library but I'd like to insert a new custom table a Z among those existing ones...could you help me?

below are the steps for the Report Painter.....
Create a new report.
Menu Path: Information Systems > Ad hoc reports > Report Painter > Report > Create
On the Report Painter: Create Report screen, enter:
Library 1VK
Report RSS-A
Report Description Report w/Total Row
Hit <Create> button to move to the next screen.
Create the Rows of the Report The first four rows are cost element characteristics
Screen: Report Painter: Create Report
Type Cost Elements in the lead column cell
Double click on Row 1
In the Pop-up window 'Element definition: Row1", enter:
Note: If Pop-up window (select element type) appears, choose 'characteristics' and hit <Enter>.
Select 'Cost Element' as the characteristic in the 'Available characteristics' section
Hit <Move selected to left> button to move the characteristic 'Cost element' to the 'Selected characteristics' section
From 430000
Hit <Change short, middle and long texts> icon (at the bottom of the window)
In the Pop-up for Enter Texts, Enter:
Short Description from Table above for this Account
Click on the <Copy short text> button to copy this description to the other fields.
Hit <Confirm> to close the Pop-up
Hit <Confirm/Enter> to check consistency and close.
Repeat the above steps for the other 3 accounts
Create a formula row to calculate the total of the Cost Element rows
Screen: Report Painter: Create Report
Double click on Row 5 or the next empty row.
In the Pop-up for Select Element Type select 'Formula'
Hit <Enter> to close the Pop-up
In the Pop-up 'Enter Formula'
Use the calculator buttons to create the formula Y001 + Y002 + Y003 + Y004
Hit <Enter> to close the Pop-up
In the Pop-up 'Enter Texts'
Short Total
Click on the <Copy short text> button to copy this description to the other fields.
Hit <Enter> to close the Pop-up
Make sure your cursor is in the cell containing the word Total
Follow the Menu Path: Formatting > Row
In the Pop-up 'Row Formatting'
Overscore checked
Underscore checked
Hit <Enter> to close the Pop-up
Create the first column for actual costs
Screen: Report Painter: Create Report
Double click on the Column 1 cell.
In the Pop-up 'Select element type'
Select Predefined Key Figure radio button, and press <Enter>.
In Pop-up 'Choose predefined column'
Select Actual Costs as the predefined column, and press <Enter>.
In the Pop-up 'Element definition: Actual costs'
Press <Confirm> to check consistency and close.
Define the second column for plan costs
Screen: Report Painter: Create Report
Double click on the Column 2 cell.
In the Pop-up 'Select element type'
Select Key Figure with Characteristics as the element type, and press <Enter>.
In the Pop-up 'Element definition: Column 2'
Value Type 01 (Plan)
Version 0 (Actuals)
Valuation 0 (Legal valuation)
Hit <Change short, middle and long texts> icon
In the Pop-up for Enter Texts, Enter:
Short Plan
Click on the <Copy short text> button to copy this description to the other fields.
Hit <Confirm> to close Pop-up.
Hit <Confirm> to check consistency and close.
Create a formula column to calculate the variance between actual and plan costs
Screen: Report Painter: Create Report
Double click on the Column 3 cell
Assign the points....

for development, you need to install Oracle Developer
Suite 10g. This includes Forms and Reports.this topic interests me too, because I've downloaded Developer Suite and Database (both for 10g) from Oracle website, installed them, but I couldn't connect to a database.
What should be done for me to create a database link and be able to connect locally, in my personal Desktop computer? (Not to a server)
Once it was told me here that I should download 10g Database - I did it, and installed it, but it didn't work. Later, some of my job partners said I should install them in a sequence - that is, 1st the Developer, and 2nd the Database. But it has failed too. And I don't know how to configure a database connection.

For the Developer Suite you don't need the App Server. You need the App Server for production.

My system is rhel 3 (update 6). My question is how can i install Oracle form and report 6i on my machine, which is already have database 10g R2? I known i have to create two separate ORACLE_HOME. Since i already had database 10g R2, can i just go head install Oracle form and report 6i on separate ORACLE_HOME? or i need to remove database 10g R2 first, and then install Oracle form and report 6i

Presumably he has to support a client/server application. They haven't all disappeared overnight, despite what Oracle tell everyone. -

How to Use Temporary table on report builder
Hi community!
Well, i'm trying to build a temporary table based report in Oracle Report Builder. in "After Parameter Form Trigger" I've placed a stored procedure that populate a temporary table and I've based my report on it. The problem is Report shows no data. When i execute this procedure directly on database and i perform a select on my temporary table, it show all inserted data.
I hope somebody can to help me because I tried many ways to build this report with my temporary table and always looks blank.Temporary tables are session specific.
If particular session is closed then no data will be found on your temporary table in an another session.
My suggestion is, on "After parameter form" trigger you directly populate the GTT without using procedure.

How to install just the Adobe 7 Writer PDF printer
In our environment we need to be able to print to PDF, but we also have a 3rd party formcreation software that needs Adobe 8 reader to capture digitized signagtures.
After testing we have found out that we need to have the PDF printer functionality of Writer 7, and the digitized signature capture ability from 8. Problem is that the 7 install (no matter ther order of installation) take priority over the 8 install and does not let us use 8 to sign the document.
the ideal fix is being able to install just the pdf printer from 7 Writer.

i m working on oracle reports 10g,i made a report which fatching some data & contains some function , i want to insert values of that functions into a table & how to update it if user again run that report.

the values of function 1 & 2 shouls be insert into a table. if that user exist in table then update it otherwise insert that values;

Oracle Apps - How to create a table before report execution?

I'm new to oracle apps, I created a procedure to get some values for a report and created a query to get the remaining values. Now I need to populate those values into a temporary table and after the report execution I have to delete the table. In apps there is no before parameter form. If any one can help me, that will great.

Do you really need to create a table INSIDE the report? It doesn't look like a good idea to me. For instance, what happens if 2 users try to execute the report at the same time? I would create a global temporary table before any execution of the report, and then I would just populate the data in the table in the 'Before Report' trigger. The data in a global temporary table is only visible at session level, so you wouldn't have any problems with multiple users executing the report at the same time and the data disappears once you finish your session, so you don't need to take care of deleting the data.

Report Writer (Table FAGLFLEXT)
I have created a group of reports in Report Writer where the table of data that use is the FAGLFLEXT.
But, I have a problem for the Companies that use local currency CLP are in the table FAGLFLEXT, Report Writer in thousands of CLP and in Transactions FBL3N/FS10N the amount appears correct, them attached an example.
Table FAGLFLEXT CLP 12.000,00
Report Writer CLP 12.000,00
FBL3N/FS10N CLP 1.200.000 ( Amount Correct)
As additional information I can comment to them that the same does not happen to the other currencies (USD, MXN, BRL, PEN), them attached example
Table FAGLFLEXT USD 10.000,00
Report Writer USD 10.000,00
FBL3N/FS10N USD 10.000,00 ( Amount Correct)
It applies a solution but this it affects all the currencies to me, it modifies a Seth of ratio of the currencies and (HSL * 100) multiplies percent but to this it affects me change in all the currencies.
Friendly, since I can do so that the Report Writer shows the whole amounts to me of CLP and that they do not affect the other currencies.
