How to integrate an API

I am attempting to integrate a third party API on a shopping cart page that will update shipping information to include our freight carrier, however I have never done this before on BC. Is anyone able to provide some basic instruction on how to do it and if it's even possible?
I do have the authorization key and information from the service we're looking at using, but they don't provide much instruction on how to integrate.

API is not something you connect together, it's like saying we are all humans and talk therefore we should be able to all communicate with each other (the problem being culture and languages are totally different).
If you want to have 3rd party shipping rates drop me a line I've implemented over 20 for BC clients, this is something I sell as a code module. It would be a BC app in the future as soon as BC allows client (frontside) side JSON calls.

Pardon my ignorance, if I checked something wrong in the BIP documentation but that web services part require some SQL queries to be written right? We are not supposed to make our application so complicated. I guess, if I only add jars, then BIP code would work just like simple POJOs. Not sure

I have tried the procedure given in the blog

Where do i need to save the jsp file in the portal and how?
I have also tried doing the same in the follwoing blog

But when when i deploy it i get an exception
"java.net.MalformedURLException: Illegal character in fragment at index 33 "
Error details:
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException: Invalid URL=http://maps.yahoo.com/#q1=hauptstrasse 2,Neu Ulm,Germany. See nested exception for details. Please check whether the URL contains query parameters which are not allowed for security reasons. See SAP note 864842 for more details

Hi Deepa,
I'm assuming you would like to embed a map into your application.
In that case, you need to connect your data service (the one that holds the addresses you wish to present using the map) to an HTML view and map the data as follows:

Where @Address is the field in your service which holds the address, e.g: 10 market st
and the @City is the field in your service that hods the city, e.g: San Francisco

There is no built in application for SMS in CCB you need a third party application.
One of our partner company has a readymade add on module with complete GUI interface for CCB, this application allows you to define rules and conditions using standard select statements to filter receipent for SMS. This application can work with any service provider all you need is a SMS gateway. If you do not have a SMS gateway the same can be provided in certain countries.

You may develop the addon based on SDK DIServer for required function.
The DI Server is an extension of the DI API and supports all its objects. It is intended for high-volume data integration, where numerous client connections must be managed simultaneously and optimized for speed. It is also suitable where Web-services architecture is preferred.

Hi All,how to call custom API in ODI and how can multiple people run the scenario at same time. I explained my process below
1. Through ODI console pass parameter (file name) to scenario and read the file form configured location
2. Insert the data from flat file to custom table
3. Call custom API
4. Generating a report in ODI in same location where we read the file from. Creating sample report just reading from custom table
5. The above design should be such that multiple people can run the scenario at same time.
can any one help me on step 3 and step 5 how to go forward..

You can invoke java api in the procedure or KM tasks. You can select Jython technology type and can call the custom java API.

You can use google maps api for v3 if you want to integrate with java script or you can use google maps web services to integrate from java code base.
Steps I followed to implement the store locator functionality using google maps in java script
1. Fetch the address entered by user and call google geocoder service to fetch the latitude and longitude
2. Use jquery ajaxSubmit to submit the form with the address latitude and longitude
3. Fetch the stores near to the address entered by the user in the form handler and construct and JSON Response which contains list of stores
4. Iterate over eacj JSON object and populate the marker and show them in the map. Add an event listener if you want to show anything on click of the marker.

SignalExpress is a great tool for taking in voltage and current inputs, and you could easily use it to calculate B. After talking with one of the support members at Tektronix, I confirmed that the TDS 1000B should pretty muchwn be plug-and-play once you have installed the correct drivers. I wanted to make sure that when you installed LabVIEW SignalExpress that you went through the hardware installation wizard, and allowed it to auto-find and install the necessary VISA drivers. You can check this by going into your Windows device manager (Start » Control Panel » Device Manager) and making sure that your Tektronic device shows up there. Be warned, it may show up as a USB test and measurement device.
If it is there, you can right-click it and select update drivers which will auto-find the drivers and update them. Once you have this completed, if you are still having trouble I can point you to some tutorials on how to get started with SignalExpress.

How to integrate BW Hierarchy into Webi?

Hi Everybody,
I need to create a report based on 0FIGL_V10_Q0001 in Webi and this query has a hierarchy and i have created the hierarchy from the designer itself. In webi, when i tried to pull 1 of the hierarchy dimension with key figure, it shows no data but if i remove the key figure i can view the information. May i know what went wrong with it or do you have a details on how to integrate BW hierarchy into Webi?

- merge the regsitry file to your BusinessObjects Server
- Restart the Services via a restart of the Server Intelligence Agent
- re-run the report with keyfigures
You should see 2 logfiles being created on the C:\ root folder

I assume the underlying BI query works fine.

i done the same thing like above for NWDS 7.1(EHP1) but am not getting the GP Dependcies for development.How can i resolve this.
2) When am deploying the app with CE7.1(EHP1) app is deploying well but when output coming on browser its giving error , n i changed the browser settings in NWDS to all options but no use.
3)Am doing CO in which i have two action buttons(result states)for this am going like this
