How to JTextField to password display format

All,
May I know how to set the following to password display format:
final JTextField textPassword = new JTextField(10);
I mean when user keys in password, the password will be display as "*****".

If you need use your format for all data pickers in your application you can set it via:
Go to
Shared components ->Definition->Globalization (Tab) -> Application Date Format SET to Mon DD,YYYY
and in the item Display as set "Data Picker (use ppplication format mask)"
If you need set format to some data picker you have to go to your data picker item and Display as set "Data Picker (use item format mask)"
and
Go to Source region in this item and set Format mask field Mon DD,YYYY

I am expected to display the date fields in my BEx reports in the standard dd/mm/yy format. However, I find that it is getting displayed in mm/dd/yyyy form.
This is creating a bit of a confusion for the client.
Hence can someone please let me know, if I can make any change to the way the date is displayed in the reports.

How to set datetime field display format in a jspx page

have a field in EO/VO being set to DateTime format, and can see the right display in the Oracle ADF model tester.
but only displayed in Date format even had been set to "javax.faces.DateTime" for Converter attributes in Property palette for the field.
what should i do?

at the first glimpse when i set the Control Hints section there are two choices for FORMAT TYPE: none, and simple date.
and the FORMAT field is disabled. so, i just skip the FORMAT TYPE(none, simple date) choice.
in fact after make the choice of simple date for the FORMAT TYPE, then FORMAT can be set to:
...dd-MMM-yyyy hh:mm:ss a
and it works now.

How to view/change "default' display format

Hi all,
I have created some dashboards in Oracle Answers and I have this strange "problem". The report A which was created by another developer and has a numeric column shows the data with different format than the numeric columns in report B created by me... I see no difference at the properties of the cells at the reports. All are set to "default" and the data cell is set to "Number". What am I missing here? Can I see somewhere (where?) the default settings?
Please let me know if this is clear.

this is because of the system wide default settings for a particular data type which is set by going to column properties in the criteria tab of report and then click save and chosing save as system wide default for this data type. you can modify the settings as per your need.
the formatting options for columns are stored in xml file in web catalog. the location of xml files is OracleBIData/web/catalog/catalog_name/root/system/metadata

Sharepoint 2013 Managed Metadata Display Format Value.

I have a powershell script that creates Managed Metadata Site Columns from my taxonomy fields.
With it I can set some of the options of the column, like if it's multivalued or not, but I don't see how to access to the Display Format one.
Is ther any way using powershell to set the Display Format option to "Display the entire path to the term in the field" insted the default one, which only displays the term label.

Date/time display format

Hello,
I was wondering how I can change the display format of dates and times in Lightroom.
It is now in US format (mm/dd/yy, AM/PM), but I prefer the European dd-mm-yyyy 24h format.
Can't seem to find it in any of the preference or settings menus.

How can I change the display format of a date?
When the field is displayed as a DateField the data format is good, but can I change the format? The problem with a DateField is also that the field can be updated and that shouldn't be possible.
When the field is displayed as a DisplayField the format looks worse. It looks like it's doing a toString from a Data variable.
Could someone tell me what is the best way to Display a Date from the database? The users shouldn't be allowed to change the value.

While defining the parameter why don't you define the Parameter prompt something like below:
From Date (DD-MON-YYYY): |___________|
You can always populate the Default Type to SQL Statement and Default Value to select to_char (sysdate,'DD-MON-YYYY') from dual. So it will come as follows:

I want to use java.util.Date in View Context and in Custom Control Context of Web dynpro java. When i mapped of a Input Field to the java.util.Date then message shows that its not supported. Plz suggest me how to handle Date with different formats ??

If you always want the user to enter the date in dd/MM/yyyy, you can do the following.
Goto Local Dictonary -> Simple types in your project and create a type known as "InputDate" (or whatever you feel) of built-in type 'Date'.
Now specifiy its format in the 'Representation' tab as "dd/MM/yyyy" (case-senstive).
Now declare a value attribute say "inputdate" in your context with this type and bind the inputfield to this context value attribute.
This will solve your problem.
But if you want the user to input date depending on the region he belongs, change the default locale date in Control Panel->Regional and Language Options->Change to English(UK) -> Customize -> Date Tab -> Sort Date Format to dd/MM/yyyy.
Now clear the cache, delete temporary files and restart the machine. This should solve the problem.
