How to know dependecies of Subject area

Hi,
I have a project in which there are 30 subject areas and thousands of reports, I wonder if it is possible from one subject area to know that analytics reports(or dashborards) are fed(dependencies).

open web catalog manager and select the folder where your reports are stored. Now go to tools>create report and chose Request Subject Area and Request Name.
this will create a report showing all the reports belonging to corresponding subject area.
assign points if found useful.

1. In my Physical Layer I have ORCL Database and SH physical schema, how do I move it to the Business model and then to Presentation Layer.
2. Once it is moved to Presentation Layer will it appear in the Subject Area of the "Answers".
3. This is an unrelated question to the above two Questions. In the offline mode, the RPD is names as "samplesales.rpd", but when I open it in online mode it says "Analyticsweb" and I do not see the reference to "samplesales.rpd", but it is the correct rpd. Please let me know why?

It is not just moving to business layer and then to presentation layer. In moving the tables to business layer, lot of functionality is addressed. Basically you will be creating star schema here. You need create fact tables and dimensions here. You need to pick columns from the tables that will be used. Take a look at demo to get understanding of how this is works.
Analytics web is the system DSN. You can see this information from odbc data source administrator.

DMS- How to know that the documents are attached??

Hello Guys,
This is pertaining to DMS,
We attach documents and link it to various object links.
Later when we get into that transaction we retrive the attached documents.
Suppose i attached the DIR to MARA (in object links) , and until i forcely go to document data in T code MM02 i cant know that documents are attached.....??
My question is how any one will know that the documents are linked thru DMS to Various object links in those transactions.
Is my question is valid......just put your comments...

But i think i should be still precise little bit more....
Just consider a situation where u have 2 users ....A & B,both are in different location.just imagine user B dont have any contact to(from) User A
User A: creates the various document info record and attach to Material master .
User B is working in another plant . How user B will know that to this material documents are attached,
He(USER B) should have already got the information that documents are attached else he should go and check document data Tab forcing himself......
I felt that every time user has to check as a practice if any documents are attached thru Tab EXTRA'S but this may be critical...not every one will do that....some time u may forget to check the presence.
Is my question valid......??!?!?

How to enable add/remove subject areas button

i just installed obiee11g on win7 32 bit version.
when i open new analysis (answers) i cant add columns and the button "add/remove subject areas button" is grey.
any idea?

I just had the same problem, was unable to add columns and build an analysis report. I installed OBIEE 11g on windows 7 64 bit, my browser is IE 9(both 32 & 64 bit were not allowing columns to add). When I ran analysis on google chorme, its working fine.

How to know what ActiveX references are still open

Okay, so I'm about the millionth person to post about this topic, but I feel like I know what I should be doing, but have hit a wall. I have read through pretty much everything I could find in the forums about references and ActiveX.
I am communicating with Excel via ActiveX, and everything works seemlessly, until I realized that if the user closes the Excel sheet (via an "exit" button on my FP), the "EXCEL.exe" process is still running. I've read enough to know that this probably points to a reference that I have not closed.
Problem is, I have poured over my code, and as far as I can tell, I have closed every reference, in the opposite order it was opened (as I read to do in a post earlier).
Aside from casting references to int's to see what is still considered "active" (as I mentioned earlier, all the ones I can find are closed, so this doesn't help me), is there a way to determine which ActiveX references are still open?
Even a way outside of LV? A Microsoft utility even or ...well anything! This is very annoying, and I know it should be quick and easy, I just have to know what is remaining open.
Or, am I missing something else that might be keeping EXCEL.exe running? (yes, I have an application quit and close the application reference)

As you said it yourself closing the same number of references as you open and using Application Quit should be enough to close down Excel.exe.
Did you run your code in highlight execution to see how the behavior of your program changes when you hit the "Exit" button on your Front Panel?
If you can post the minimum amount of code that reproduces the error, I will be more than happy to take a look at it.

I don't think this is the easiest way to look at the code around a particular field on the screen. Debugging standard programs also can be very tedious, if not impossbile. So, instead of this question, I would like to find out exactly what you want to do if you know the code.
If you are in a transaction and you want to know where the code of a particular field is, the fastest way to get to it is by pressing the F1 key on the field and then press the Technical info button on the help screen. In here you will typically see the same kind of information but it is very specific to the field you selected.
PROGRAM(SCREEN) tells you which program is manipulating the main screen, in which your field is embedded. Remember your field may be included in a sub-screen and that subscreen may be the one included in the main screen.
PROGRAM(SUB SCREEN) tells you which program is directly responsible for the field on the subscreen it is included in. This is where you should find the code most appropriate for the field, but not necessarily.
PROGRAM(GUI) controls how your push buttons and the menu options in the screen behave and controlled.

Hi, i would like to know (for gaming proposes) if all my CPU cores are running at the their 100%? ive been having some issues with games, and a friend told me if there is no powersaving features enabled on your notebook, i have checked power options and everything is running fine, but it seems somehow that the cores aren't running at their maximum performance, i usually just plug the notebook to the AC adapter without the battery and play like that, any suggestions? maybe something from the BIOS? ty!

Now it's good to have some more information of the issue, but there are still some parts which you didn't mention.
Also, it's important that you don't mix up all problem together since they may have totally different cause. For example, sound delay in game is different with the music playing in Spotify.
Form what I've read, you have issues I list out below:
1. 0.2 secs screen tearing.

On 4.7 version in some standard objects(SAP Objects) some changes are done by custom by using modification assistance.
On ecc 6.0 version I need to know whether the same changes are done by custom or sap? ( not manually)

How to know if other computers are using our wireless

greetings. i have a linksys WRT54GC router in our home, providing wired internet for a computer and ps2, wireless for another computer, a nintendo DS, a nintendo Wii and a PSP. however, this is an apartment complex. i was wondering if there was anyway to track if other computers are "leeching" off our internet. is there a tab in the linksys setup page where i can check this? as of the moment, i am unable to enable wireless security as some of the devices are unable to connect with security, despite the correct code (i really dont know why). so i have disabled the SSID broadcast as a minor security measure. but i would really like to know if somebody else is using our wireless as well. thanks. ed in toronto

One problem we are facing is that the program might also be run on 4.6c and earlier versions, where we may not be having the RTTP run time classes.
