How to left align in Stationary?

How can I left align my text in the Stationary? I used to have a default "style" that had left text in iPhoto, but that doesn't seem to work.
Any tips on how to use the "style" feature in general is also appreciated!
Thanks.

Try
Align text flush left Shift-Command-left curly brace ( { )

  • JLabel: How to Left Align the text

    Hi.
    I created a JLabel and wanted to left align the text. However, the text is always centered in the frame that contains it. Can you tell me what I need to add to the code?
    import javax.swing.*;
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.awt.event.*;
    import java.awt.Frame.*;
    public class S extends JFrame
         public S()

              setResizable(false);
              setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
              JLabel label = new JLabel("A label", JLabel.LEFT);
              label.setHorizontalAlignment(JLabel.LEFT);
              label.setToolTipText("Should be left aligned");
              JPanel pane = new JPanel();
              pane.add(label);
              setContentPane(pane);

    Read this section from the Swing tutorial on "Using Layout Managers":
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/layout/using.html
    Layout Managers layout the components based on rules for each layout manager.
    By default a JPanel uses a FlowLayout. By default FlowLayout aligns components in the center of the space allocated to it. In your case you allocated 300 to the width of the frame, therefore the panel has a width of 300, therefore the label is centered in the 300 pixels.

  • How to left align the signature field of dynamic pdf

    Hi,
    I am working on dynamic (interactive) pdf and using Adobe LiveCycle Designer (Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro). My problem is that I cannot align left the signature field of my pdf. I can align left, right and center for textboxs and cannot just do that for signature field. When I couldn't do that from GUI I went to XML code for signature and tried this:
                       <para hAlign="left"/>  but it still didn't work. Ideally it should have worked.
    I would really appreciate if you could help me.
    Regards,
    Kiran

    Use skinning. Use the following skin selector:
    af|panelFormLayout::label-cell {text-align: left; }If you want to apply it only on particular panelFormLayout, then set a custom styleClass on the given <af:panelFormLayout> tag (for example, <af:panelFormLayout styleClass="MyStyleClass" ... >) and use a styleClass-dependent skin selector:
    af|panelFormLayout.MyStyleClass::label-cell {text-align: left; }Adding a custom skin is easy. If you do not know how, see this topic in the documentation: 20.2 Applying Custom Skins to Applications

  • How to change the default left alignment setting in Word 2010 professional (personal use)

    Hi, I use Word 2010 Professional for my personal use at home, and somehow the default setting for the left alignment in a new Word document has been changed to a hanging indent at .25.  So every time I open a new Word  document, the left margin
    has an indent setting.  I have to change it to 0.0 every time, which is annoying.
    I've tried to go into the "Options" section, under "Custom Settings" to de-select an auto left margin indentation, but I can't seem to find an option to do that.  Can anyone please tell me how to change this setting in the master Word 2010 template,
    so that every time I open a new doc, the left side is aligned at the 1" margin with no hanging indent?
    Thank you.

  • How can I Left Align text in the Marker Arrangement tabs?

    It would make it easier to read the heading text of the Arrangement Marker tabs if they were Left Aligned when the project is minimised.
    Is there any way of setting this up or is it a default?

    I'm not aware of a way to make Firefox hide the first tab instead of the last tab; maybe there is an add-on with that feature.
    There is a hidden setting to open the new tab at the end of the bar instead of next to the page you're reading. Then, of course, you won't have this problem. Instead, you'll have the problem that it's hard to figure out which tab had that link in it. In case you want to try it out, here's how.
    (1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''tabs''' and pause while the list is filtered
    (3) Double-click the '''browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent''' preference to switch it from true to false (it should turn bold)
    You're done here. You can keep it open in case you hate the change and watch to switch it right back. In that case, double-click again to switch it back to true.

  • Safari 7.1 opens direct image links centered in the web browser. I need it to open them left aligned like before the 7.1 update. How do I do make it do that?

    This is a major issue. I need the browser to open images left aligned like it did before this update. This is a major break to force this on people. There should be a option to click. "Check this box to open images centered in the web browser" and "Check this box to open images left aligned'.
    Not that hard to do. Now I am forced to resorting to asking how I can force my browser to go back to how it worked before the update.

    Anyone have any idea how to force Safari to work like I want it to?

  • How to activate left alignment with Jpanels??

    Hello
    Please what is wrong. I cannot get left alignment activated. Otherwise panel appear nicely on screen. Here are the main parts of code:
    public void addComponentToPane(Container allComponents) throws IOException {
    allComponents.setLayout(new BoxLayout(allComponents, BoxLayout.PAGE_AXIS));
       panel_introduction.setAlignmentX(JPanel.LEFT_ALIGNMENT);
    allComponents.add(panel_introduction);
       allComponents.setVisible(true);
    }Edited by: wonderful123 on Oct 14, 2007 10:26 AM

    Alignment in a BoxLayout can be more complicated than it appears. Posting 4 lines of code does not give us enough information.
    So read the Swing tutorial on "How to Use Box Layout" for an explanation and examples of how alignment in a Box Layout works.
    If you need further help then you need to create a "Short, Self Contained, Compilable and Executable, Example Program (SSCCE)",
    see http://homepage1.nifty.com/algafield/sscce.html,
    that demonstrates the incorrect behaviour, because I can't guess exactly what you are doing based on the information provided.
    Don't forget to use the "Code Formatting Tags",
    see http://forum.java.sun.com/help.jspa?sec=formatting,
    so the posted code retains its original formatting.

  • How can I align two different text row in the same table in two different way (one centered and the other one on the left)?

    Hi,
    I want to center two different text row that are in the same table but one on the center and the other one on the left. I put a <span> tag hoping that it has been overwhelmed the table's class properties The .bottomsel's font-family and the .Cig84's font-family and colour work but the text-align don't: they're both on the left.
    These are my source and CSS codes:
    Source:
    <table width="600" border="0">
      <tr>
        <td class="bottomref"><p><span class="bottomsel">| <a href="index.html" target="_self">Main</a> | <a href="about.html" target="_self">About</a> | <a href="clients.html" target="_self">Clients</a> | <a href="contact.html" target="_self">Contact</a> |</span><br />
          <span class="credits">Credits: <span class="Cig84">Cig84</span></span></p></td>
      </tr>
    </table>
    CSS:
    .bottomsel {
      text-align: center;
      font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif;
    .credits {
      text-align: left;
    .Cig84 {
      color: #F00;
      font-family: "Comic Sans MS", cursive;

    Use paragraph tags with CSS classes.
    CSS:
         .center {text-align:center}
         .left {text-align:left}
    HTML:
    <table width="600" border="0">
      <tr>
        <td class="bottomref">
              <p class="center">This text is center aligned</p>
              <p class="left">This text is left aligned</p>
        </td>
      </tr>
    </table>

Ever since i did that when i copy txt left aligned indesign keeps on pasting the txt right aligned. it is mind boggling & very annoying. i've put all my prefs back to my regular dutch setting, but even when i past with a paragraph style left aligned it keeps on putting it right aligned... Help.

    wmodist wrote:

    It should paste with wahtever style is assigned at the insertion point when you paste without formatting... Pasting formatted text is going to bring all the formatting (including what will become local overrides) with it.
    Is your text showing the + sign to indicate a local override of the style? If it is you can clear the overrides after pasting.

  • Having trouble with left align in all versions of internet explorer

    I created my pages in Dreamweaver and uploaded them to my university's server.  Because we have a content management system and my boss didn't like the layout that we are able to use, I had to create separate html pages and place them into the CMS using iframes.  Each individual page has a banner on the top, and underneath that, a menu on the left side and the main body text on the right.    In Chrome, Safari, and Firefox, the menu takes up the appropriate amount of space (about 250 px) and then the body text is left aligned about 10 px to the right of the menu.  However, when I open the same page internet explorer, there is a large gap between the menu and the text. I have tried it within the iframes and without and both have this problem.  The URL is: http://chicago.medicine.uic.edu/UserFiles/Servers/Server_442934/File/Hematology/welcome.ht m.  Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

    I don't  use tables for layouts.  You have more control with CSS.
    Copy & paste this into a new HTML page and play with it.

    <h1>Welcome!</h1>
    <p>Welcome to the Section of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. There are over twenty-five faculty members that are committed to providing the highest quality of patient care. The section houses a variety of outstanding programs including an exceptional stem cell transplant program, a nationally recognized sickle cell program, and a strong neuro-oncology program.  We are one of the few universities that participate in the Minority-Based Community Clinical Oncology Program and are also a member of the Myeloproliferative Disease Program, both being NCI-funded programs.</p>
    <p>The program continues to be a leader in expanding the possibilities of cancer research.  Patients are given the opportunity to participate in a variety of pivotal clinical trials in thirteen different disease-type areas.  Our research teams work to ensure that tomorrow's science is practiced as today’s medicine.</p>
    <p>Our three-year ACGME Accredited fellowship program offers fellows the opportunity to work with a  range of hematologic and oncologic disorders in a variety of settings in the Chicagoland area.  Fellows rotate at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, Mount Sinai Hospital, Mercy Hospital and now with MacNeal Hospital in Chicago’s west suburb of Berwyn.  Fellows are given the opportunity to focus on both clinical and bench research projects under the mentorship of our faculty members.</p>
    <p>We welcome you to take a look at what our section has to offer.</p>

  • How to set alignment in a TextField?

    I need to set allignment of the text in a TextField to right. There is no such under TextField.
    Anybody knows how to set alignment in a textfield in javaFX 2.0 ?
    Thanks

    It may be worth filing a feature request jira to get platform native support for this.
    You might think that textField.setStyle("-fx-text-alignment: right;") would work, but it does not.
    I guess that the -fx-text-alignment css property only right aligns multi-line text, not text within a text field.
    The following code uses binding to keep Text in a TextField right aligned.
    The translations place the text visually right and keyboard editing is OK.
    Mouse transparency is enabled because mouse based selections still act as though the text is left aligned.
    So it's not a complete solution.
    public void start(final Stage stage) throws Exception {
      // create a text field.
      final TextField textField = new TextField("This is right aligned text");
      textField.setStyle("-fx-text-alignment: right;");
      textField.setMinWidth(400);
      textField.setMouseTransparent(true);
      // layout the scene.
      final VBox layout = new VBox();
      layout.setStyle("-fx-background-color: cornsilk; -fx-padding: 10; -fx-alignment: center;");
      layout.getChildren().addAll(textField);
      Scene scene = new Scene(layout);
      stage.setScene(scene);
      stage.show();
      // keep the text in the textbox right aligned.
      final Text text = (Text) textField.lookup("Text");
      rightAlign(text, textField);
      textField.textProperty().addListener(new InvalidationListener() {
        @Override public void invalidated(Observable observable) {
          rightAlign(text, textField);
    private void rightAlign(Text text, TextField textField) {
      text.getParent().translateXProperty().bind(textField.widthProperty().subtract(text.xProperty().multiply(2)).subtract(text.getLayoutBounds().getWidth()));
    }
