How to list files from directory in list box?

Hi all,
Here is what I want to implement: I have several pattern files that'd
be sent to special motor controller. What I want is: display these
files in the list box on the interface, so that user can click on the
file he wants, then run the program, and this file will be the input
to my controller.

I have created applet and export all files to .jar file.
I use File.list() method in applet to list files from one directory and that works ok but if I try to do that from web browser it sends exception AccessDenied meaning that File.list() isn't allowed in browser.

Method init() is irelevant, it just adds JTextPane in applet.
Method start() is relevant, it runs normaly when started from Eclipse but from browser it sends exception AccessDenied.

I have a samsung note 8 tablet. I used to be able to delete files from the recents list, but don't know how to do it in the newest version.

I don't think you can remove just one file from this list.

Unable to delete a file from the downloads list of...

i am an e7 user. I was recently downloading a couple of videos at the same time when my phone hanged and had to be restarted. When it did restart, most of the files had to be redownloaded. All except one. The downloads list claims that the file has been saved. The video plays bt isnt completely downloaded.
The problem now is that i cant delete the video through the file manager. The error msg says web:already in use.. When i tried deleting the file from the downloads list of the web browser, there was a similar msg.
So how do i remove this file from my phone??
I tried downloading a couple of file managing softwares bt that didnt really help....

Retry after clearing the Browser Cache.. If that does not solve.. Reboot the phone and try again...

Can I remove a SPECIFIC file from the "Recents" list?

     As far as I can see, Adobe Reader for Android has only the option of clearing ALL the files in the "Recents" list. It doesn't have the option of removing a specific file from the "Recents" list.
     Maybe I'm just missing the option I'm talking about or Adobe Reader doesn't really have that feature.
     Sensible answers to my question will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

How to filter results from 4 dynamic list menus depandant on how many of them are selected

I have a search page with a form with 4 list menus and 1 submit that post the results to the results page. I can create a record set that either retrieves the correct data from my database if a selection is made from all four menus Or i can create the recordset if only 3 menus have a selection or the same for 2 menus and 1 menu. However i want the user to be able to make a selection from either 1, 2, 3 or all 4 of the menus and the exact data be retrieved. At present if i try to combine the recordset using AND and ORs the results are not specific enough, for example the 4 menus are Location, Type, Price & Style if a user selects from all 4 i only want to retrieve data that matches all 4 criteria, but at the same time if the user selects only 2 of the menus the i want it to retrieve data that matches specifically those 2 variables. I´m not actually sure if i should be creating a more advanced sql query of if its the php side of things that i need to look at. This is my first dynamic site so please be aware i´m still a learner where php and sql is concerned. Please can anyone help?

I too am using Dreamweaver recordset, my local server is XAMPP ( apache php mysql), i´have pasted my sql recordset below to give an idea of what i´m trying to do, however this does not work as i´m trying to select the exact data based on 4 menus PRICE TYPE LOCATION and BEDS, and also want the search to work if the user only selects options from either 1, 2, 3 or 4 of the menus, with the code as it is if the user select only two options from 2 of the menus the results don´t just find (for example) all results for location AND price they find all results for the location varibale OR the price variable rather than a match for both, if you see what i mean?
Any suggestions?

I'm just doing my first dynamic site too, and am at a similar level to yourself.
Can you give us more info re the site. What software, eg Dreamweaver etc are you using, and is your server using PHP or ASP etc?
For what I've used, I amended the SQL side of things in the recordset in Dreamweaver. That way, you can test the SQL as you're setting up the recordset.

what you'll get back from your Java program.)

Read file from directory, update contents of the each file

hai,
I could not understand how to debug the error i have now.
target
1- read the files from directory // i able ot do this part
2- for each file
for each file read the content & compare with the existing List & update the list // i able to do this part
when i try to combine both parts , i got some following error
run:
E:\java\check\100130.ixf
Error: children[i] (The system cannot find the file specified)
BUILD SUCCESSFUL (total time: 2 seconds)
i can see from the code that children[i] only gives the error when i use that in the second part of the code.
can any one help me on this??

Ex:

i need to pick up the above mentioned two files and send it to the following paths
app1\files\us\download\US.txt
app1\files\uk\download\UK.txt
US.txt has to goto US folder and UK.txt has to goto UK folder only

To pick form multiple folders, select Advanced Mode for file selection in file adapter..
there u can specify directory name/file names

Insert the SD card.
System opens iPhoto with SD contents.
Want to transfer files from SD card to system drive. iPhoto closes
SD card directory removed from the Finder window and is not available again.
I don't want to have to reboot the system every time I want to perform this option.
What's wrong here.
The support columns show this isn't an isolated incident with all sorts of solutions possible.
This is a simple task - there should be a simple method for the system to recognize SD cards.
What's the answer?

It ejects or unmounts the card. When the SD card mounts click on it once to highlight it and then drag the files shown within it to the new folder.
