How to load an app to a phone?

Hi all,
Just a quick question.
Im thinking about doing a j2me app for a college project.
I really dont want to have to run it on an emulator.
Do i need some sort of a cable to get it onto the phone?
or can i just put it up on a website and download it?
would it need to be some sort of special server or could i just
use some free webspace like geocities?

[iPhone development] How to load the App Store directly from an app?

I need to figure out how to load the app store from one of my applications by clicking a button. The code is relatively easy to load say a website. But when I use this code:
-(IBAction)goToAppStore;
[[UIApplication sharedApplication] openURL:[NSURL URLWithString:@"http://itunes.com/apps/appname"]];
it does not work, because it says too many redirects occurred.
Is there a way to load the app store (and load into a specific app info view) directly from the app, instead of loading a website to load the app store?

But I using the one line code I had too many redirects. So, I needed the latter code, which didn't load the app store until all the redirects have happened. Unfortunately I don't understand this code:

How to Load an app to iPad using command line

I am trying to build an iOS app and load it to an iPad where I want to run an automated test on it from command line. I do not wish to use Fruitstrap or any other third party tool/code as I only want to use native apple code.

Above is the script I have so far to build the app, but I dont know how to load it to an iPad via command line. Does anyone know how to load the .app to iPad device?

How can I store apps on my phone, so I don't have to use 3G or internet???

I am in Europe for 4 months, and at $50/month for 50MB, I am not able to use the majority of my apps, some of which SHOULD work on my iPhone without internet access. On my palm pilot, which had a fraction of the data capacity, I had a spanish/english dictionary, maps of various cities, etc.
I understand, Apple has a deep relationship with AT&T, but I am sick and tired of them. Some apps should be able to be stored on the device, it's 8 GIGABYTES!!! There is enough space!
Please, please tell me how I can find apps that work without going online, or some sort of hack or something. This is ridiculous, that my ancient Palm Pilot had more capacity than this 8G toy.

I have tested my apps, but what I want to do is buy apps that clearly state, in the store, that they do not require internet access to work. Sure, the app is partially stored on my phone, but the database of information (like a spanish/english dictionary, a city map, a list of local restaurants, etc.) are not stored on my phone. Most apps that offer these services store the majority of the data online. After searching and searching I finally found a spanish/english dictionary that clearly states it is available offline.
What I'm ranting about is paying $50 for 50GB which has evaporate in less than 2 weeks of enabling data roaming only when I needed to look for something on my map. It's a complete waste of money, when I should be able to buy a map of the city, download it, and search it. I understand it might be hard to fit the entire world onto an 8G iphone, but at least we should be able to get local maps.

When I go to install app I'm asked for my password which I enter and then press go and
it looks like it is going to load then switches back to the app I'm trying to load and then
I'm back where I started. I have tried more than ten times, I have even changed my password
on Apple ID.
Can anybody help?

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

You can only download Find my iPhone on the MacBook Pro to save it on iTunes, but not to use it in the Mac because a Mac can't run iOS applications.

How to load firmware maualy into 7960 Phone

All,
First of all , forgive my silly question.
Is there any way to load the firmware unzipped file(cmterm-7940-7960-sccp.8-0-8.zip) into a 7960 IP Phone without having to access to a CCM or TFTP server? An alternative Cisco CallManager is not available to run the executable installer program and the IP phone is MGCP and need to load SCCP firware into it.

Ok i will explain you this how it works
First you will be require xml file while u have to get it when u make router as a CME server.
Just configure router as a CME server by telephony-service setup do any configuration once done to the last step it will create a xml file copy that xml file to one folder and open the same.
Now go to CCM server and check CCM is using which load through device default load
Then download the same load from Cisco.com and copy on the same folder where you have kept the xml.txt file open that xml.txt into notepad and try searching the phone model number e.g 7960 once u will find that u will see the load information which is there by default just change the load information parameter to yr load without .load extension
and save it
Now on yr ip phone point to yr LP tftp where that u have kept yr folder with xml.txt & firmware.
It will work without have yr Cisco Call Manager it will update the same firmware image.

You have updated your phone to 2.0? If, click on your phone in iTunes and select the Applications-tab (to the very right). Do your downloaded apps appear here?

All 3rd party apps on your iPhone - that were on your iPhone that was exchanged/replaced should be in your iTunes library on your computer along with all other iTunes content that was on the iPhone.

Although contacts are included with your iPhone's backup, contacts are designed to be synced with a supported address book app on your computer. Your contacts should be available on your computer with or without an iPhone or any cell phone, which can be lost or stolen.
When connecting a new iPhone to iTunes on a computer that was being used to sync with another iPhone, you should be prompted to transfer the backup for the previous iPhone to the new iPhone as the very first step. You do realize, that you can go to the appstore on your phone and download apps there, without plugging into itunes on your computer.

How do you change apps on your phone with out using the home button?

Just trying to see if there is an easier way.

You can enable Assistive Touch which puts a small square with a circle on your screen and can use that to switch apps/exit to the Home Screen, I believe.

All apps (and other content from the store) are tied to the account that downloaded them, whether or not they are free. To do in-app purchases in that app you will either need to log in with the account that downloaded it, or delete it (which will delete its content) and download it with your currently logged in account if you want to do IAPs on that account.
