How to locate the repository table relevant to my custom report. ?

Hi
I have to develop custom user report in SAP GTS.
User wants custom report with product, classification and tariff details.
Please tell me, How do I locate the relevant table and field from the the GTS SAP repository ?
BTW, Where do I go from here and do some more research and understand the GTS schema or repository database understand the different tables and its purpose and also its relation, etc.
Any pointers ?

hi,
open ur transaction and in menu goto system status and find program name.
then in se37 open GET_TABLES func module.give program name and execute.
u will get all tables related to that transaction.use the tables which have ur required fields.

These are al fields i have to populate in the program..
MY ATTEMPTS:
I tried getting the data for KNKK table by GET KNKK ,but it is giving some garbage values...
And Logical database used here is DDF,and i have to add the VKORG of KNVV too...but KNVV is not there in DDF...
Can anybody tell me how should i proceed..

i have following doubts again..
I have to add sales organisation field to the selection screen...(this is given in the req.)
now if i will say GET KNKK...it would not keep account of this 'sales organisation' field...so how should i fetch the data with these input data( i.e. 'compny code' and 'customer' are the fields given by LDB and 'sales oraganisation' is the field i put it on the selection screen)
And what about the KNVV-VKORG ,because the KNVV is not present in the LDB.

by default they are cacheable...
You can see it on repository, physical layer, right clik on table, properties, on general tab, check cacheable...
You can specify peristence time...

How to locate the source code which populate the SO number?

Hi,
For example:
In T-code: VA01
Put your cusor on the screen field : Standard Order
Then press F1, get the technical info of this field as below shows:
Screen field     VBAK-VBELN
Program name     SAPMV45A
Screen no.       4001
So my question is, how to locate the source code which exactly to populate the SO number into VBAK-VBELN by the system automaticallly.
As assumed that the system is generate this kind of SO autuomatically, and its number range is defined in SPRO.
I just want to find out the coding part which gengerate the SO number.
Want to see the source code of that...

This is just a suggestion.
If you put your "JTable" in a "JScrollPane", then you can add any "java.awt.Component" to the corner of the "JScrollPane" -- using the "setCorner()" method (of "JScrollPane").
I would suggest making a custon "JPanel" and overriding its "paintComponent()" method to draw a diagonal line (and the required text) on it.
You can find out more about how to do this from the links I provided in my first reply.

How to decrease the dynamic table data loading time

hi
i have problem with dynamic table.
when i execute the the table with passing a query , getting lot of time for loading the table data.( it takes 30sec for every 100 rows.)
pls help me how to overcome this problem.

Yes, This is oracle application...
We can move into other tablespace as well. But concern is how to improve the alter table move command performance.
Is there any specific parameter apart from the nologging and parallel server..
If it is taking 8 hours , can some have experience that nologging will save how much time. or is there any risk in doing in production.

Double click on the PSA and CTRLSHIFTF5 --->in PSA properties -->PSA table ..u can find the name here ....
B)as well as i need to check whether any historical data loads is there for psa for a particular period?
usually as SAP best practise we will not keep data in PSA for not more than 30 days or at the amx 60 days..you may not find historical data here..however to find the oldest data -->Right Click >Manage>Give some old date ,say 01.01.2005 in the Request newer than ...and Refresh.....
Other way is to find out in the Data provider i.e in the Cube or DSO ...

a)Do not map it
b)in the DTP...Filter it ....i.e from PSA -->CUBE/DSO....
c)Or write a routine also in start routine ...
